Inspire Me Friday {Holiday Sparkle}

Welcome back to the blog on this happy ‘Inspire Me Friday’!  Working with the Christmas Stamp Set again…I just keep finding fun new ways to approach this set!  Ever since I first saw the sweet ornament image,  I wondered how it would look in water color…and this week I had a chance to find out…

What do you think?  All those pretty shades of pink came from a single pink pencil and water!  Gotta love that!  Personally, I think I could become addicted to this kind of ‘painting’.  It’s extra fun on water color paper, but this was just normal card stock.  And I’m no pro…but it’s a technique you can have fun with even when you’re not!  I layered the embossed and embellished ornament on a pretty Hero Arts wreath…

…and used a couple sentiments and the candy cane stripe border to add some color and contrast to the bottom portion of the card…

…and that’s it, I think!  Besides Christmas music…I think the sparkling lights of the season are my favorite…such a symbol of hope…and I wanted to bring some of that sparkle and light out on this card!  Hope you’ve enjoyed it, and are inspired to create a little Christmas for yourself or a loved one this weekend!  Thanks so much for visiting!
