Hello, stampers! Happy Friday to you! I’m here today sharing a little inspiration from the sweet ‘Thanks’ set with you. What did you think of Clare’s card yesterday using this sentiment?…
…If you missed it, you really should take a peek! Maybe it’s the weather here in Indiana that drew me to that same sentiment and headed me down the same road as Clare…toward some sunshine! I pulled out some new (to me) dies (PTI) and cheery paper to create some rays, and used some vintage trim I dyed awhile back to create my ‘sun’. A little cutting, gluing and stitching later…this is what I came up with…
…another sunny card…in a totally different style! I love how Clare and I both had the same idea of a cheery, sunny creation, but approached it in totally different ways! Now THAT’S inspiration!!! On my card I masked off the little heart in the sentiment before inking, and stamped it without the heart. Then I cleaned off the sentiment and inked only the heart in pink (with the tiny corner of my ink cube!) and re-stamped. A little Glossy Accents gave the little heart some dimension and shine! It was actually a pretty simple card, but just let me know if you have any questions! Thanks so much for stopping in today! I’ll see you next Friday, but remember…the rest of the DT will be creating and sharing between now and then, so be sure to check back!

I am so impressed with how well your “rays” mesh and the flower made from the yellow trim is just magnificent. Amazing card Geri! 🙂
