Meet Our Guest Designer!

Good Morning Stampers!!! It’s a happy morning here and just full of inspiration. The DT are just rockin’ every projects using the Thanks Stamp Set, and we love sharing them all with you!^_^ And because we want to share more adorable project ideas, why not adding one more spot for our weekly inspiration every time we have a new release? Yeah!^_^

“TUESDAY IDEAS” is our brand new day for inspiration!^_^ And to start it off, we invited another guest designer to share her ideas to us along with her first project!

Let’s all welcome, the talented Lea Lawson! Get to know her more!^_^

My name is Lea Lawson, and I reside in beautiful Missoula, Montana. I have been married to my husband, Josh, for 10 years, and we have two of the cutest dogs in the world- a yorkie named Bailey and a cocker spaniel named Sadie. I am a professional photographer, who focuses on weddings and senior portraiture, but also throw my hat in on some families and babies at times.

I have been crafting in some shape or form for as long as I can remember! When I was younger, I would use stationary items (Lisa Frank was my idol) and stickers, then cut up my photos (EEEK!) and arrange them together. The finished product would hang all over my walls and closet doors. When I graduated from high school, my aunt Amy gave me a scrapbooking kit, and my love affair with paper crafting started…

While I used to scrapbook more than I made cards, the tables have turned and I actually barely scrapbook any longer. {Although…I am going to start digitally scrapbooking this year!} The card making community is wonderful, and I have met some amazing women through it. You can see my work in publications like Paper Crafts Magazine/Special Issues, Cards Magazine, and occasionally in Scrapbook Trends Magazine.

And here is Lea’s first project for us! Adorable!!!^_^

1. Make A2 card from kraft cardstock.
2. Cut a decorative envelope from vellum. {I used my Cricut, but you can use a Silhouette or even freehand it!}
3. Add a little spray adhesive to the inside, then sprinkle sequins on it.
4. Adhere the envelope to the card front, then zig-zag stitch along each edge.
5. Adhere a diecut heart to the corner of the envelope, then accent with a gem.
6. Stamp the sentiment below it in black ink.
7. Scatter some sequins to the upper left and lower right corner.
8. Accent with pearls to finish.

There’s more projects coming from Lea soon!  Thanks for stopping by today stampers and enjoy the day!^_^
