I ♥ you {Saturday Creations}

Are you loving the new set from Precious Remembrance?  Even though it’s a “thank you”  set, Dyane added some great sentiments that keep the set very all-purpose.

I ♥ you.

I used the “I ♥ you” circle to create this cozy valentine’s day card.

I ♥ you.

It was the perfect opportunity to break out my package of heart veneers.  A few of them stacked perfectly over the heart in the stamped image.  (but what’s up with the scraggly edge on the peeking heart?  I didn’t notice it until I uploaded the picture)

I ♥ you.

Other card details:  I stamped a classic tartan plaid, and die cut them into little banners. I think one of my girls has a skirt in this pattern 🙂  The card background was given the texty treatment, and I actually broke out the sewing machine for this one.  I haven’t done that in awhile!

Thanks for popping by (again!)  Have a great weekend – after breakfast, I have a date with my favorite 5 year old.  I ♥ spending time with each kidlet – it’s so much quieter… ha.

Inspire Me Friday {Thanks To You}

Goodness!!!  Another Friday already?!? I don’t know where the time is going but I’m so glad to spend a little of this day here with you all…and to share a card using the new Thanks Stamp Set!  The idea for this design came almost immediately when I was looking over the images for the first time…and it actually came together on paper pretty close to what I had envisioned…

I stamped the ‘thanks’ image in brown and then stamped again with embossing ink and heat embossed using a clear glittered powder.  I covered a couple small scraps of chipboard with some Simple Stories papers and cut my ‘2’ and ‘u’ to add above and below the image.  You can see a subtle splash of color behind the focal point I created using the spatter image  from the Positive Thoughts Set.  The little wood veneer stars are from Studio Calico…

In the next photo you can see how I created a little banner from one of the border images and mixed it in with banners made from coordinating papers…

The pretty trim and buttons provided the finishing touches.
I love it when a card comes together like I planned…no fussing…no fretting…just fun!!!
Hope you’ve enjoyed it…Thanks so much for stopping in!

Project Thursday { Thank You So Much }

Hello my fellow stampers! Dyane here for today’s Project Thursday!^_^ I want to pop in for a quick and easy card for you. It literally took me less than 10 minutes to make this card, I’m sure you can do it too!^_^

Showcasing the brand new Thanks Stamp Set, here’s my card and how I made it:
  • Start with a kraft card base {Standard size card}.
  • Use one of the borders from the set, ink it up with versamark and stamp it on both opposite ends of your card.
  • Add some white embossing powder and heat set it.
  • Grab the “x” border and stamp it with brown ink. Ink up the smallest heart from one of the sentiment in the set and stamp it next to the “x” border.
  • Cover those stamped images with post it notes. And then start adding splatters using glimmer mist. Let it dry. Remove post it notes.
  • On a white/cream cardstock stamp one of the sentiments with brown ink. Fill in the hearts with colored gel pen. Cut around the sentiment and place it at the center of your card.
  • Finished!^_^
  • And oh! I almost forgot. Don’t forget to round the corners.^_^

I hope you enjoy today’s card and visit us again tomorrow for another Inspire Me Friday with Designer Geri!^_^

Have a beautiful day!

Create It Wednesday {funny faces}

We are continuing our celebration for the new release of the “Thanks” Stamp Set and hope you are able to join along.  Today’s scrapbook layout was inspired by all of the amazing variety Precious Remembrance has in border stamps (including Thanks, Christmas and Positive Thoughts).

Begin by adding the borders in a random vertical pattern on the white cardstock.  Create interest by using lighter colors then giving the “x” border priority using a slightly darker color.  A perfect time to use the Positive Thoughts stamp set paint splatter and rings.  Layer embellishment stickers, chipboard, etc onto your layout after adhering the photos.  Then it is time to add a few more stamped images, such as the “adorable” stamp and hearts.

Love is in the air……

Hello stampers! I am currently enjoying working on some projects using the previous releases. So if you’re like me, bring out your older stamps and give it some inking love! And oh! Don’t forget to grab your old paper collections too! But before I go on my project, let me share the following…

Do you guys remember the Love Stamp Set? That’s one of the first stamp set that we released in the shop. So if you’re new to the blog and haven’t seen that much of it, check this out~!

How cute are those?^_^

Now let’s talk about versatility. One of the most popular stamp set that we have is the Calendar Stamp Set. Not only it’s great whole year round, but you can make anything under the sun with this stamp set. Mix and match it with any stamps that you already own. Just perfect for any occasion.

And so I created not only 1 project for you guys, but I have 3 sweet projects for you to enjoy using both stamp sets!^_^

Check out this first one, you’re probably wondering… what else can I do with the sentiment stamps? Well, aside from using it by itself, try mixing it up with a sentiment die cut, I’m sure you have something in your stash that’s just waiting for you to get notice!^_^ Just like this one…. I have this die cut for years, and look how perfect it is. I stamped the word “Memories and Heart” from the Love stamp set. Those 3 hearts at the bottom is from the Calendar Stamp Set. Gotta love hearts!^_^

On to my next project! Looovvveee this card!^_^ I did the same technique on mixing it up with a sentiment die cut. Behind the die cut, I stamped all of the elements using the Calendar Stamp Set. And I just used a colored gel pen to fill in the hearts. And added some fun embellishments!

Here’s my last project for today, a kraft treat bag. Stamped using the Love stamp set, and the solid heart is from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.

I hope these projects gave you some inspiration on how you can play with our stamps.  Now start creating and grab those supplies that you haven’t seen for awhile.^_^

Happy Crafting!

Blog

Hello everyone!  I’m Geri, an ex-special education teacher and current stay at home mom of 3…from 2nd grade to middle school.  Kids came a little later in life for us, and I like to think mine are keeping me young!  Although I stay busy with so many things while they’re gone at school, I always find myself craving a little ‘crafting therapy’ time, and couldn’t be happier than when I’m surrounded by pretty papers, trims and stamps.  My blog has been a great source of satisfaction, too, and I am so thankful to have met some of THE BEST people through it!  I’m just really lovin’ this crafting journey I’m on, and feel really blessed by each and every opportunity to share it with others!
