Create It Wednesday {celebrating you}

Celebrating the sentiment today.  Whether you add it to your project as a border or create the perfect sentiment, they definitely make a statement.  In today’s card and box set, mixing and matching sentiments is a favorite with Precious Remembrance stamp sets.

Used several sets including Friends, Birthday, Thanks and Love stamps to create something special.

The box is bordered using the “thank you” border stamp from the Thanks set.  A label created from stamping cardstock , cutting out the label, distressing the edges with ink and scoring along the middle to create the fold.  Marked the “x” using the number one from the Calendar set as well.

How will you use your sentiments today?  Thank you for stopping by for Create It Wednesday and hope you enjoy your day!

Tuesday Ideas {Layered Thanks Cards}

Today I have my next post as this month’s guest designer for Precious Remembrance Shop!! I am enjoying the Thanks Stamp Set so much this month, and am excited to share my projects with you!

Last time I went pretty clean & simple with my creations, so for today’s post I focused on a more layered, product-oriented style. The Thanks Stamps set was the perfect match for the product that I used on my cards today! Up first is a card using some brand new Studio Calico and some other fun embellishments!

1. Make A2 card from oatmeal cardstock, then round the lower right corner.
2. Cut a strip of feather paper, and round the same corner.
3. Layer the feather paper to the right side of the card, with a doily & gold tab peeking out under the left side.
4. Add a tape measure sticker over top of the doily & gold tab.
5. Layer a journaling card, sentiment card, a pink banner, and a vellum banner together.
6. Stamp the sentiment to the vellum, set with heat, then stitch along the right side of it.
7. Adhere the entire block to the front, then tuck a jeweled circle sticker under the top.
8. Add a diecut arrow & wood veneer conversation bubble to the front.
9. Accent with a clear button, printed rhinestone, sequins & pearls.
10. Add a gold photo corner to the upper left to finish.

This next card turned into a love card after all was said & done…ha! I made a comment on my blog the other day that I can never have enough love themed product because the majority of my cards end up being about love in some way, sort or fashion! I paired the Thanks Stamp Set with some brand new Glitz Design product for this card, and they worked together perfectly!

1. Make A2 card from kraft cardstock.
2. Cut background paper slightly smaller, then adhere.
3. Cut a rainbow striped paper block, then adhere to the top.
4. Add a strip of woodgrain washi tape to the bottom, then tie ribbon around the middle.
5. Add a jewel to the center of the bow.
6. Diecut a notebook paper shape from woodgrain paper, then stamp the top of it.
7. Add a strip of washi tape underneath, then add the rest of the stamped sentiments to the top of it.
8. Add an X to the stamped top, then adhere the entire piece to the card front.
9. Fussy cut the Love piece, then adhere with a geotag symbol, epoxy stickers & a jewel to the globe in the background.
10. Accent the lower left corner with jewels to finish.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed my cards today!!  Have a wonderful rest of your Tuesday!

Design It Monday {thanks!}

Hi everyone! It’s Suzanne here for my last Design It Monday guest feature, and I just want to thank all of you for visiting over these last few weeks, and of course I’d love to thank Dyane so very much for having me!

For today’s card, I used a Precious Remembrance sentiment from the thank you set, along with some resin flowers, washi tape, silver sparkle paper and spritz!

The background was embossed with a stitched pattern die from Lil’ Inker Designs, and the doily was cut using a circle stacker die from Wplus9.  This was super fun and easy to make, especially the spritzing part. 🙂 You should try it if you haven’t already!

Hugs, Suzanne

Simply adorably baby.

I have babies on the brain, lately, with my new niece being a week old.  I’ve managed to see her a few times, and every time I hold her, it’s glorious.  When they weigh under 8 pounds, and snuggle themselves to sleep in your arms, you feel like all is right in the world.

I’ve created this simple (but I think adorable) baby card.  I’ve used some “mama elephant” images (the banner, the bear, and the bullseye) and mixed them in with the new “adorable” sentiment from our thanks stamp set, and some ink splotches from the “positive thoughts” set.

Do you like to round card corners?  I don’t do it often, but I thought a rounded bottom corner would balance out the banner at the top left.

Have a happy weekend!  For us, it will be a mad dash to finish baking and decorating for our at-home-anniversary party this evening.  Hubby and I hit our first milestone: 10 years!

Inspire Me Friday {a pocketful of thanks}

Hello, and welcome back, friends!  Geri here, with my final Friday inspiration using the ‘Thanks‘ set.  I used the image of the ‘thank you for’ list on this card, and used a little gold star to mark what I was thankful for…

everything, of course!  I pulled out some older papers I had stashed away, and a set of pockets I got awhile back for almost nothin‘ on clearance.  Used the pocket to tuck my little ‘thank you’ note into…

…and used some other embellishments to pretty it all up.  (I included a sentiment from the ‘Calendar‘ set on the pocket.)

I sure have enjoyed creating with this set, and appreciate you joining me each Friday!  I’m sure Elena will have something sweet for you tomorrow to wrap up her inspiration, too…don’t miss it!  Then I hope you’ll join us for inspiration using a great new set…coming soon!!!

Project Thursday {hello there}

Clare here, with a clean and simple card made using Positive Thoughts! I’ve been sick all week, so this is rather a back-up post, and it’ll be a quick one at that. 😉

For this card, I rolled my adhesive runner where the glitter is sticking, and if you look reaaallly closely, you might be able to tell that I also stamped the neat ink splatter from the stamp set, and covered that with glitter as well. It shows up better in real life, trust me. 😉

A little heart provided the perfect accent for the adorable ‘hello’ sentiment. 🙂

Well, that’s it for me today!

Thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Design It Monday {Sunshine}

It’s Design It Monday, and I hope you had a great weekend! Today I have a sun-shiny and fun card to share using some bright shades of paper from A Muse Studio, a diecut from Lil’ Inker Designs, and an embossing folder from Stampin’ Up! The Precious Remembrance sentiment, which was stamped in dark gray, comes from the thank you set.

The finishing touch was the matching blue rhinestone, which I placed on the heart in the sentiment. Thanks very much for looking – have a fun day!

A quick and easy thank you {Saturday Creations}

Hi friends, it’s Elena here, with another Saturday Creations post.  I usually have a stash of cards on hand, but sometimes, I run out of the one kind that I need right away!  Enter today’s card:

I used the same “thank you” sentiment that Geri did yesterday (did you see her post??) but I did keep the frame around the “thank you” (but trimmed off some of the designs on the side.)  I propped it up onto a tag that I stamped with some cute friends (from a mama elephant set), and created balance on my card by stamping the dotted swirl to the side.

To accent the images, and the little hearts in my sentiment, I traced around them in a light grey copic marker.  I love how that little touch helps the images “pop” a bit more.

That’s it for me – a simple and sweet card to start your Saturday morning!

Inspire Me Friday {A Banner Day!}

So glad you could join us again today for more inspiration using the ‘Thanks Set’!  I love this fun word search image that’s included in the set…

…and I love all the little ‘hanger’ embellishments I’ve been seeing around.  I was really hoping the size of the word search image would match up with the size of the hanger, and I was in luck!  After stamping and cutting out my image, I highlighted the ‘THANK U’ sentiment with a Copic, and used some jump rings to let the image ‘dangle’ from the little hanger.  Then I hung it among some sweet banners…more things I love

Foam tape helped in adding dimension, and two pieces of twine allowed me to layer all the pieces exactly the way I wanted.  Since the word search/sentiment is more like an embellishment, I wanted to reinforce it’s message with another, more traditional sentiment from the set.  I masked the border that is around this sentiment with scotch tape while inking, and then removed the tape before stamping it at the bottom of my card so that only the sentiment would show…no border!  My watercolor pencils gave a soft look to the sweet little hearts.

And I think that’s it for your Friday inspiration!  If you’ve missed out on any of the posts this week, you really should take a look around…the creations the rest of the girls have put together are amazing!  I’ve been inspired with each and every one!!!  Saturday always holds a treat, too!

Enjoy your weekend, and thanks so much for taking the time to stop in!
