Saturday Creations ~ Three Bookmarks!

This is my 4th and final creation for the new Precious Remembrance stamp sets DIY and Border Tape 1.

 BOOKMARKS!!!

I think having sentiments from the DIY stamp set on the front,

and book images paired with washi tape on the back from the Border Tape stamp set, make a quick and easy bookmark that you can stick in your child’s stocking (or have them give as a gift to their friends)!

 And I just couldn’t use paper and tissue paper on the bookmarks, I had to mix it up a little:

I made this background using Tim Holtz Distress Paints! LOVE the marbling effect! I also thought the ink splats from the DIY set look very mixed media-ish!

TIP – The “LEARN” and the arrows are stamped with versamark and heat embossed with white!  LOVE the raised texture without making it too bulky for a bookmark!

Hope you like my bookmarks!  These two stamp sets, as well as other FAB stamp sets, can be purchased in the Precious Remembrance store!

Project Thursday – ‘Tis the Season…

For this Project Thursday – just 6 days to Christmas – I put together a CAS holiday card.  I used the DIY Stamp Set for this one. The arrows and white “splats” are both in this set. I die cut a snowflake on some glitter paper (this is hard to see in the photo – the card looks so much prettier in person) and added some white thread and a red sequin.

Now I’m off to get some of my holiday shopping finished up and get a new truck!  Happy Holidays everyone!

Inspire Me Friday {Mending a Broken Heart…}

…with washi tape, of course. (hee hee!)  Hello all!  Welcome back!  Geri, here with your Friday inspiration, and my final project with Dyane’s most recent releases…the DIY and Border Tape 1 sets.  I wanted to play with the tape images in the Border Tape set one last time, and as I was thinking of which direction to take this project, and those little tape snippets, I couldn’t help but think of ‘patching things up’, and a ‘sorry’ card came to mind.  While looking through Dyane’s sweet sentiments, though, the ‘I’m here for you’ sentiment from the Positive Thoughts set caught my eye, and I settled on that one instead.

I kinda liked that for my ‘patching/fixing’ theme, so I stamped a few of the tape images in soft gray shades, and then the large heart, also from the Positive Thoughts set, in a soft, (sad) blue.  I added some Glossy Accents to  it and popped it up on the tapes I had stamped. I saved my darkest gray for the sentiment, and added a few epoxy dots to add a little more color and dimension.

And there we go…all patched up!;)  Simple card, I know…but I think it would do the trick for a friend in need.  So glad you could pop in today!  We always appreciate your visits!  Can’t wait to see what’s up next for Precious Remembrance!!!

Design It Monday ~ {Smile}

It’s a crazy time of year with all of the hustle and bustle that surrounds the holidays. Thanksgiving being a week later has thrown me off kilter a bit and I keep reminding myself to relax and smile. In fact that thought was the inspiration for my card today. I’ve decided to take a departure from the Christmas mode I’m in to bring you something fresh and fun. This card combines the new DIY stamp set with the Journey stamp set.

I went through my decorative paper scraps to find something that would match the new ink that arrived on my doorstep. I’m sorry I can’t tell your the manufacturer of the paper. It was something free given out at a stamp convention. Little squares of this and that with no name. But the Ocean Tides & Scarlet Jewel inks matched perfectly!

My card began with the sentiments, one from each of the mentioned sets. This was followed by the trendy chevrons from the {DIY} set ~ love those! Next up I die cut my label from the floral paper then stamped the camera from the {Journey} set on the polka dot paper. The lens of the camera is popped up and a glitter pen was added to the flash. I used a little wooden arrow to continue the downward flow of the chevrons to the second portion of my sentiment.

That just about does it for me. Some members of the team have more projects to share this month, I’ll see you next year. Just remember that if the holiday rush is bringing you down all you have to do is smile!

Saturday Creations ~ Merry Christmas Wreath

Hi Everyone! It’s my turn to use the NEW stamp sets from Precious Remembrance called DIY Stamp Set and Border Tape Stamps 1.

I am totally immersed in making my Christmas cards (I need 100! YIKES!) so EVERYTHING looks like an opportunity to make something for Christmas to me ~ even the feather stamp in the DIY set!  (I’ll show you how I used it later in the post.)

 Here’s My Card:

I LOVE how this stamp set is so artsy!

Like I said, the wreath was stamped with the feather stamp and the red “berries” are the medium paint splotches! I LOVE that they aren’t perfect little circles!

I stamped two of the Border Tape stamps, cut them out, and then added the Merry Christmas banner from the PR Holiday Wishes Stamp Set introduced last month.

Here are photos of the stamp sets I used:

Tip – How to make a wreath with the feather stamp:

I cut a small circle out of a post it note (so it would be slightly sticky).

I laid down a mask so just the top of the feather would stamp above the circle.

Then I stamped and stamped until the wreath was as full as I wanted it.

After removing the sticky note, you have a Beautiful wreath ready for the berries!

Why don’t you give it a try?!!

Project Thursday – Inspirational Card

Hey there!  Can’t believe we are already at another Project Thursday.

I know we are heading into the holidays, but I needed to step away from Christmas cards for a minute.

For this project, I used the DIY set to make an inspirational card.

It is a CAS card with some mini doilies, a button, and some twine.

It’s a dainty little card with a big message.

Now….back to some holiday projects!

Congratulations Card and Border Tapes!

Hi stampers! I hope you had an awesome weekend with your family and friends.♥ It’s great to be back sharing more projects again!:) Look what I made! I found this adorable paper that will totally remind you of our Border Tape #1 stamp set. Sweet!♥

I just can’t get over with the cuteness of this paper, I thought by adding more of that similar pattern onto my card will make it more fun {or shall we say…inspired by the patterned paper.lol}! I went ahead and grab my border tape stamp set, I did 2nd generation stamping to have that soft look of the borders. Using different colors of inks and layering will give more texture to the stamped image.

{ Stamp Sets : Little One , Border Tape #1 Buttons: Simply Butter, Baby Blue }

I hope you got inspired with my quick project for today.♥

Keep on creating and enjoy the day!
