Inspire Me Friday {Let that Sentiment Shine}

Welcome, everyone, to another ‘Inspire Me Friday’ featuring the new ‘Coffee Love’ set!  There’s something extra lovely about a pretty sentiment embossed in silver or gold, don’t ya think?  It seems to be a trend lately, and one my arm didn’t need to be twisted much to get on board with.  I’ve always loved how metallic embossing instantly dresses up a card and adds a little extra elegance, AND, I’ve always loved how Dyane mixes cursive and manuscript fonts in her sentiments…

…oh, yeah…I knew that sentiment with the larger cursive word would look awesome in shiny gold…such a pretty flow to it!  And of course, embossing on the vellum just adds to the awesome-ness of it!;) And that’s exactly where this card started…with the embossed sentiment.  The rest of it is no big deal…

…just some things I found to work with that pretty sentiment, including the little circular heart image from the set I placed on the front of my jar.  So how about you?  Have you gotten on board with the metallics yet?  If not, you should give it a try.  It may be that extra little elegant touch your next creation needs!

Thanks so much for dropping in today!

Create It Wednesday – Let’s Talk

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  I’m totally loving the new Coffee Love set!  With so many fun images and sentiments your stamping possibilities are endless!   For today’s card I used a lots of images from the set and a cute mini bag to create a pocket for a gift card.

Pulling the colors from the My Mind’s Eye patterned papers that I used I stamped the mini bag with several images from the set.  I added the two little word strips, some washi tape and a few sequins.  The word strips are held in place with a little binder clip/twine embellishment.   I finished off the card by layering the mini bag on a paper doily and adding the “let’s talk” sentiment and the heart icon.

Here is a close up of the upper corner of the mini bag showing the collage of elements.   Like many of Precious Remembrance Shop’s set Coffee Love is perfect for the freestyle/collage look.  Thanks for stopping by!

Design It Monday ~ {Happy Things!}

Hi friends and welcome! Let’s talk about happy things today, shall we. A leisurely bicycle ride with a wicker basket full of blooms perfuming the air would be a happy thing. Bright blue skies with the sparkle of sunshine steaming through the trees would be a happy thing. Those were my thoughts when I pulled the elements to make this card. I used a piece of bicycle print paper from a neglected Authentique 6×6 pad as a starting point. Just a portion of the card was embossed with a honeycomb embossing folder for a bit of added texture. Then I layered on the DP and a thin strip of gray cardstock. Splatters and circles from the Positive Thoughts set fill in the rest of the card front. I decided a tag would hold my focal but didn’t have the shape I wanted, so I cut my own. This cute sentiment from the Coffee Love set is surrounded with splatters from the Positive Thoughts set and a border from the Coffee Love set. I think this border looks like a UPC bar code! I stamped it down each side of the tag with gray ink, then again shifting slightly to the left, with kraft ink. A length of pretty twill ribbon from the Pretty Pink Posh Shop was tied around the card, then I attached the tag with natural twine.

I added another small punched tag with the enjoy sentiment from the Coffee Love set just for fun! The finishing touch of scattered gold sequins really brought this card to life.

I hope I’ve inspired you to explore happy things today! I look forward to spring weather so I can take one of those happy bicycle rides!

Saturday Creations ~ {Coffee Talk Garland}

For my Saturday Creations post, I decided to make garland with three of the images from the Coffee Love Stamp Set – the coffee cup, the winking smiley face, and the heart. I created the following gift crate with a matching card:

I made this for a friend who LOVES to chat over a good cup of coffee!

Here is a close up of the garland I strung on the crate.

 Here is a close up of the card:

Not only did I hang some garland on the top, but I added twine to the bottom of the card as well to balance it out.

Here is a close up of one of the FAB sentiments in the stamp set. I added a tiny heart to mimic the heart on the coffee band (which I crimped so it would look like the real thing).

I wanted to point out two things in this photo. First, I made the coffee lid by stamping with Versamark and clear embossing on black so it would look like plastic.

 Second, I made the garland by punching out the images with two different sized circle punches and then sandwiching them on the twine (after running them through a Xyron machine to make them super sticky).

The circles went with the polka dot motif ( on the coffee mugs) and it was much easier than cutting them out!

I hope you like my “Out of the Box” creation with this Fantastic Stamp Set called Coffee Love!

Project Thursday – Hey, How Are You??

It’s my turn to share a project from the new stamp set released earlier this month.  This CAS layout uses a couple of the stamps from the set, a manila shipping tag, twine, and a few sequins.

This set follows suit with all of the other stamps sets from Precious Remembrance in that it is so full of versatility….

Packed full of cute images, a couple of borders, and great sentiments!  I love how the sets can be mixed and matched up with each other and the design team is so great at showcasing this!

Tuesday Ideas – Coffee Shared

Hi stampers. It’s my turn to share a card using the new super sweet Coffee Love. There is just something about getting together with a great friend and having a cup…or two…of coffee.  It’s time to just relax, and enjoy each others company.

Here is my card:

To create my stack of coffee cups I did a little masking. I stamped the coffee cup on a piece of printer paper and cut it out. I started by stamping the bottom green cup.  I then took my cup that I stamped on the printer paper and cut out, and added a very small amount of sticky to the back. You want just enough to hold it in place while you stamp…but you want to be able to remove it when done. I placed this over my bottom cup and stamped the next blue cup. I repeated this process until I had the number of cups I wanted.

Here is a closer view.

Super simple and yet so sweet.  I hope I’ve given you a little inspiration to give this fun technique a try. As always, were glad you stopped by. Have a wonderful day!

Inspire Me Friday {Time Well Spent}

Hey, everyone!  Happy Friday to you all!  I just love this new little ‘Coffee Love’ set!  The whole coffee shop scene really seems to have such a significant place in our culture now.  And you know, it’s really amazing how it’s opened up such fun and inviting opportunities for people to get together and just spend time talking with one another…

Even just half an hour chatting over a favorite coffee shop treat can really lift your spirits. This new set celebrates just that.  By stamping just a portion of the cup images in it, my card provides just a little glimpse into that happy little chit-chatting scene, and leads the mind to wonder just what that conversation might be about…or what favorite shop these two friends have chosen;)…

We might not know all the juicy details, but I thought the ‘steamy’ hearts were a fun way to highlight the happiness coming out of this little meeting.  The card required just a little masking, and the patterned sleeves provided some warm and sweet pops of color!  It was really super simple to make once I decided exactly where I wanted things to go!

Alrighty…that’s it for me!  Hope you enjoy your weekend, and are able to make some time for some crafty fun!

Create it Wednesday – A Little Something

Hi everyone!!  Rosemary here for my very first Create It Wednesday post!  I’m so excited to share my little project with you that I made using the newly released Coffee Love set.   When I saw the set and the sentiment “just a little something  for you” I immediately thought it would be perfect paired up with a little decorated treat package.    Here is the little treat package I made using the set and some pretty Webster’s Pages papers.

I made the little pillow box using my We R Memory Keepers Pillow Box Punch Board.  After putting the pillow box together I tied some yummy white crinkle ribbon around it and added the sentiment banner,  as two banners die cut from additional patterned paper.  I used the little heart from the set to stamps the hearts in coordinating colors.  Finished things off with some little flowers that matched the colors in the patterned paper.

I hope you enjoyed my little project!

Design It Monday ~ {Girl Time}

Giveaway winner announced! Click HERE.

Hello friends did you enjoy your weekend? I hope so. How nice of you to start you week off by joining us here at the Precious Remembrance Shop blog! I have a pretty little number today that is all out sweet and girly! It’s so nice to put in some real girl time on a card. Reaching for all of those pink, soft, feminine and frilly items is just what I did when designing this card.

Polka dot paper with different shades of pink set the tone for my card. The scallop border was made using the little cup from the new {Coffee Love} set and the heart border from the {Little One} set. A pretty white paper doily along with a die cut doily serve as the backdrop for a felt library pocket. The embellishments on the library pocket bring forward the different shades of pink from the polka dot paper.

The tag that goes in the pocket holds the sentiment for the card. I split it in half so that part shows while the tag is in the pocket and the other part is hidden. I just adore this paper with the tiny raspberries on it!

See I told you I got girly with this one! I love the way it turned out and I hope I’ve inspired you to get girly with your crafting! Thank you for joining us today, we appreciate your visits and comments. Have a wonderful day!
