{Create it Wednesday}… hello

Hello PRS fans!!!  I don’t know about you, but I am totally lovin’ all the awesome projects that the design team has made with the new Oh So Fun set!  Each and every project has totally rocked!!!   Today I have a fun little tag-card project to share that I made using two pre-made tags and other bits and pieces.  Tag-cards are fun to make and a nice little twist on a regular A2 size card!

I have a pack of pre-made tags that I had never used and thought they would be perfect for creating a tag-card.  The pack contained 12 tags with four different styles.  I pulled out two tags that matched, scored one tag at the top slightly below the hole and adhered them together.  I then stamped both mason jars from the set on some patterned paper from American Crafts (Amy Tangerine Cute & Paste) and trimmed them out.  The tops were stamped on a different paper, trimmed out and popped up.   I stamped the label on the smaller jar and then added the sentiment (from the PRS set Positive Thoughts).  To perk things up a bit I added some polka dot paper and a paper doily that I cut in half.  Pulling colors from the polka dot paper I colored wood veneer stars using green, yellow, pink and blue inks.  (Tip… when coloring wood veneer with ink keep in mind that the ink might not dry quickly and instead of using your fingers to pick up the pieces use a set of tweezers.  This will help prevent getting ink on your fingers and then stray spots on your project.)  I adhered the paper strip, the doily and then jars and then the colored stars.  Finished off my tag-card with some neutral ribbon and a twine bow.

I hope you enjoy my little project and that I have inspired you to give tag-cards a try.
