Hello stampers and welcome back for another version of Design It Monday! Isn’t the New Stamp Release {Fall Colors} beautiful~ swoon!! I’m featuring this new set today in a back to school project of sorts!

When I think of Autumn I think of back to school. New shoes, big yellow school buses, sharpened pencils, Crayola crayons and even a new teacher. I’m celebrating the latter of this group…the new teacher. I know a very special and well loved first grade teacher who will have 24 bright shiny faces in her class room today. My daughter-in-law! I made this little gift for her to celebrate another school year.

After randomly stamping my leaves on rustic cream cardstock, I die cut the panel with a notebook die. Next I added a little bracket border along the edge in a warm olive green. The sentiment banner is a combination of the sketchy box (Ripe Avocado ink), the sentiment (Pure Poppy ink) and then the grid stamp (Classic Kraft ink). I curved the banner using my fingers, attached it to the notebook page the adorned it with a teeny paper clip.

To the right side of the banner I added a couple of die cut felt flowers, leaves and a sweet red button. When this was complete I used an antique safety pin to attached it to my linen drawstring bag. A few new pencils for the teacher and the little token of affection was complete!

We’re so happy you stopped by to visit today. Stay tuned for more crafty works of art from the DT in the days to come! Until next time…
