Last Minute Valentine by: Heather Hoffman

Good morning! Heather here from Houses Built of Cards, excited to be back guest designing again and sharing another card this morning with you!
This week the focus has been on last minute Valentine’s – and the newly released stamp sets are perfect for that! This card would take less than 5 minutes to assemble – so if you are suddenly realizing that you are late, you can still totally pull it off!
For this card, I again used the newly released Love Coupon Stamp set:
This time, I stamped the “love” 3 times in Versamark, then masked off the “I love you” and used just the word “you”, then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Layered it on my pattern paper with some adhesive over the top, then folded the doily over the top to cover the adhesive, and adhered it to my card base. Added the hemp twine to hold the doily in place, and that’s all!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day – and Happy Valentine’s Day!

{create it wednesday}… more last minute valentine treat ideas!

Hello PRS fans!!  This week the design team is sharing quick and easy Valentine’s Day projects using the new Love Coupon stamp set and today is my day to share!  I have two boys and so my idea is definitely quick and easy, lol!!

While at the store one day I picked up two little boxes of chocolate Sweethearts candies.  The color scheme on the box is perfect for boys and made it easy to choose the right papers.  Full disclosure my little “wrap” does not meet completely in the back as I used a piece of 6×6 paper (Teresa Collins Hello My Name Is collection), but I know my boys won’t mind!  I stamped two rows ticket from the set on the brown and red grid paper using dark brown ink.  I was able to get three coupons per row.  On alternating rows I stamped the heart using red ink.  Once I stamped everything I trimmed out a set of two rows to create the wrap portion.  I did not do any scoring, but simply positioned the box so that full tickets were on the front and then used the sides of the box to create my scores.  I added some strong adhesive (I used Scor-Tape) to the back portion of the wrap, secured one side and then the other, pulling it tight for a close fit (hope that makes sense, lol!).  I stamped two more tickets on patterned paper and trimmed them out.   I stamped “good for one” in red and then hand wrote the remaining message (a visit to their favorite local FroYo shop!).   Some red and brown baker’s twine was tied around the boxes and the sentiment tickets attached.  I know that sounds like a lot of work, but it wasn’t.  Took me maybe 10 minutes to complete the project.

Hope you enjoyed my little project and Happy Valentine’s Day!

hey there… rosigrl

Tuesday Ideas: Last Minute Mini Valentines

Hello everyone!  It’s Melissa here today and I’m sharing some mini valentines to help you with those last minute preparations for Valentine’s Day!  We all know how the last few days leading up to a holiday can be!  I was trying to think of something to create that could easily be put in a lunchbox or slipped in with a gift and came up with these mini valentines!

I used the new Love Coupon stamp set to create this set of cards.  These are 3.5 x 5-inch cards and are perfect for gift giving or a simple token of love!  You could even use these throughout the year to surprise your loved ones with fun little messages!

For this one, I stamped a partial heart image along the bottom edge of the card in red and then added the simple LOVE sentiment off to the right.

This card uses the the ticket image which has been lightly sprayed with a yellow shimmer spray and decorated with a red pearl heart.  The finished ticket was then popped up with foam dots.

For this card, I stamped the coupon outline image first and the filled in the rectangle with a collage of one of the heart stamps in two slightly different colors.  I then stamped the bold sentiment in the middle of it all.

This last one may just be my favorite.  I just love the romantic font of the sentiment!  I replaced the “coupon” portion of the sentiment with “you” from one of the other sentiment stamps in the set.  I added a heart image right on top of the sentiment.

As you can see, there are so many different ways to use this set for sweet little valentines!  Stop back tomorrow as Rosemary will be sharing even more last minute Valentine’s Day ideas!

Design It Monday ~ {Last Minute Valentine Treats}!

Hi friends, Lisa here today! We’re bringing you something fun from the Precious Remembrance Shop this week. The DT girls will be sharing some quick last minute Valentine inspiration. Each day this week one of us will post a project.

As some of you know our daughter-in-law is a first grade teacher. I take advantage of DT assignment like this to put together something fun for her students. My contribution for this week’s feature is a quick little treat bag for each of them.

I shopped my stash and found some tiny brown paper bags, lots of paper doilies and a spool of red and white twine.

I used one sheet of cardstock and filled it with stamped images from the Love Coupon (ticket), Positive Thoughts (heart) & This Moment (love) stamp sets. After coloring the tickets in with a Tombow marker I trimmed them out.

To assemble the bags, I folded the doily in half, added adhesive, then adhered it to the bag by wrapping it around one side. Next I tied on a length of twine and topped it off with the ticket, a tiny paper clip and a trio of red buttons.

I filled the bags with Butterfinger hearts! I hope the kiddos enjoy them. They went together lickity split!

Thanks so much for visiting with us today. Melissa will be back tomorrow with more Valentine inspiration!

DIY: Ticket Strip + Video Tutorial

Happy Sunday Stampers! I’m back with my 2nd DIY video tutorial using the brand new stamp sets Love Coupon and This Moment. How fun it is to cut apart and use it as an embellishments for your cards or scrapbooking pages?

You can pretty much put anything at the center of the ticket, if you have extra puffy stickers, that would really be cute too. Or how about playing with your own handwriting and try to doodle something fun, that will be a special touch to your projects as well!:)

In cased you missed my last DIY project, you may check it here: DIY Love Coupon Book

Saturday Creations ~ {Bold, Bright, Shiny, & Sparkly}

Welcome To Saturday Creations where I have created a Valentine card with our new Love Coupon Stamp Set.  As you can see, I decided to focus on the word LOVE and made a modified chalkboard look card.  I stamped the word LOVE over and over with a juicy white ink, sprinkled clear embossing powder on the words, and heat set it for a shiny look.  I then took wet glue and “wrote” over the one LOVE I wanted to hightlight.  Then I covered it with hot pink glitter and let it dry.

I LOVE how the word LOVE just POPS!

I also added some glitter to the big white blossom as well to tie it all together.

Some lace (forgive me but to me it looks like tiny hearts!), some layering of shiny hot pink card stock (the top layer is popped), and the heart from this FAB stamp set, and my bold, bright, shiny, sparkly Valentine card is ready to mail!

Here is a close up of the heart I stamped in hot pink ink, clear embossed, cut out, and popped.

It’s all so shiny and glittery in person!

I LOVE this stamp set and all of the possibilities!  You NEED to go to the Precious Remembrance shop and buy this set for yourself NOW!  It is so much fun to play with!

Thanks for stopping by!

Project Thursday ~ XOXO

Here we are at Project Thursday again……

This month there are two new, great stamp sets added to the Precious Remembrance stamp line.

Love Coupon & This Moment

For my project this week I put together a card using the Love Coupon set.   I’ve had papers sitting around that are perfect for Valentine’s Day, just like this set.

I added some die cut hearts and some white thread – other than that the card is all paper and layout.

I used the ‘xoxo’ from the set and kept it simple.

Again, I can’t rave enough about how versatile all of the sets are from Precious Remembrance.

You really do get your money’s worth from each set!!

Tuesday Ideas: A Super Simple Valentine

Hello everyone!  It sure feels like it’s been a while since I last posted here, but with the holidays and the beginning of a new year, time flies!

I wanted to share a very clean & simple valentine card with you today to get you started thinking about your valentine projects (if you haven’t already)!  This card was created with my hubby in mind.  We all know our men prefer simplicity and not a lot of extra fluff with most things in life.  I think this card might just fit the bill!  What do you think?

So many times, you can create an effective design using the simplest of elements!  I applied a touch of Crystal Effects to the heart and that little bit of shine added just the right amount of interest, eliminating the need to add a lot of embellishments!  It’s the little things with clean & simple design!  I used the new Love Coupon set to create this card.

I hope your February is starting out smoothly!  January always seems to be a catch up kind of month for me, but with February’s arrival, I finally begin to feel like things are slowing down and easing back to something more like normal!  Be sure and check out the newest releases (Love Coupon & This Moment) in the shop if you haven’t already!  They are perfect for both Valentine’s Day and scrapbooking projects you may have going!

Until next time, happy stamping!
