Tuesday Ideas: Gold Blossom

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with one last clean & simple card idea for the new Blossom set!

This week, I used gold tinsel embossing powder on one of the blossoms in the set to give it a little sparkle and shine.  I used one of the circles in the New Day stamp set as a flower center, popping it up with a foam dot.  The sentiment is from the Positive Thoughts set.  I used a stitched border die to dress things up a bit and added more dimension by popping up the entire main panel using foam dots.

This set has so many possibilities and I love that it works so well for clean and simple design!

Until next time, happy stamping!

{create it wednesday} … watercolor

Hello PRS fans!!  Rosemary here today with my final post highlighting the new Blossom stamp set.   Ever since I received this set from Dyane I have wanted to create a card that uses watercoloring because I think this set was made to be watercolored!!   Well… today is the day!  I recently purchased a set of Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints and used them for my card.   They sure are lovely to work with!

After watching a couple of videos showing how to use the paints I got to work.  I stamped the small jar image from Oh So Fun using VersaFine Vintage Sepia and then added the flower and stem using the same ink on Ranger watercolor paper.  I taped the panel to a small wood cutting board with painters tape and colored up the image.  Taping the panel down and leaving it that way to dry cuts down on warping that can occur as the panel dries.    Once the panel was dry I cut it down using a rectangle die with a little dotted border and added the sentiment using VersaFine Onyx Black ink.   I added little drops of Glossy Accents to create the look of condensation on the jar.  Here is a detail shot of the droplets:

Design It Monday ~ {Masking}

Good day friends! Lisa here today sharing another Design It Monday post. This is my final post featuring the new {Blossom} stamp set. For this card I paired it with both the {Journey} and {Positive Thoughts} stamp sets using the masking technique.

After stamping the filmstrips with kraft ink, I trimmed them out. Next I masked off the open areas to stamp the smallest flower image in each one. I added a few leaves then set these aside to work on the card base. Once the placement of my filmstrip was decided, I stamped the arrow border from the {Journey} stamp set, splatters from the {Positive Thoughts} stamp set and the sentiment from the {Blossom} stamp set. The striped paper was added then this panel was adhered to my kraft card base.

That finishes up my Design It Monday posts for this release! Until next time friends…

Saturday Creations ~ {happy day}

Hope you are having a Great weekend!  It’s the perfect time to shop at Precious Remembrance and pick up this Fabulous Blossom Stamp set!  You can use it for so many types of cards!  I made a Birthday card for a dear friend who LOVES orange:

The orange is a spray that I used to create the background by spraying it through a circle stencil.  Then I stamped the two different sized blossoms with black permanent ink and heat embossed each one with clear embossing powder.  Not only does it make the lines shine but it creates a hard defined line that won’t wash out or bleed with the sprays.  Then I just sprayed the blossoms and cut them out.  The sentiment was shortened so it would fit perfectly inside the scribbly sentiment box stamp from the PR  Oh So Fun stamp set.  (I masked the word oh and the exclamation mark so it would fit).

My card is flat for mailing, even though I popped the bottom flower to add a little dimension.

I really wish these photos did justice to the shimmer in the spray mist.  This card is so sparkley in person!

I hope you like my card!  Thanks for stopping by!

Project Thursday ~ Inspire Lovely

I’m back again with another Project Thursday post using the Blossom Stamp Set

I tried a different technique using one of the flowers, ink, water, and watercolor paper.  I inked up the stamp, spritzed it with water and then stamped.   I really like how this turned out.  It’s in a light pink, so it is a little tough to see in the photo – much prettier in real life!

To finish it off, I added some Kraft twine and a tiny little flower to accent the sentiment flag.

Tuesday Ideas: Color with Spray!

Hello, everyone!  It’s time again for Tuesday Ideas using the newest Blossom stamp set!  I created another clean & simple card design to share with you.

I tend to forget I can use my shimmer sprays to color images, but remembered when planning today’s post!  I stamped one of the pretty blossoms in the set on white cardstock before spritzing it with purple and gold shimmer sprays.  After it dried, the image was fussy cut and a clear gemstone was added to the flower center.  I die cut the stitched circle and stamped the three words on it.  The flower was then attached to the circle using a foam dot.  The assembled piece was popped up on the card base using foam dots.  I’m thinking this card will go to one of my crafty friends!

I hope you’re having a great start to your summer!  I’m still adjusting to having four kids home all day, every day!

Until next time!  Happy stamping!

Clean and Simple….

Hi stampers!:) I hope you’re having an amazing Friday! Today I have the most simple card I’ve ever made, as far as I can remember.lol I love my textures, layers and all, but clean and simple cards are SO refreshing!:) It might be hard to achieve sometimes, as easy at it looks. But once you got it, I believe it shines on it’s own!

I simply stamped my sentiment from our New Day stamp set on a designer paper. Added some white enamel dots. To finished off my card, I rounded the corners for a softer look and distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress ink.

I hope you enjoyed my simple card today!

Thanks for joining me!:)

{create it wednesday}… believe… inspire…

Hello PRS fans!!   Rosemary here today with another {Create it Wednesday} post sharing a project that I made using the new Blossom stamp set.   As many of you know right now the Summer Coffee Lover’s blog hop is going on and Precious Remembrance Shop is one of the sponsors… YAY!! So… when I saw Dyane’s super cute card (click here to see her card) for the hop I was inspired to create my version.

I started by stamping the coffee cup from Coffee Love twice using VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink.  I then covered both cups with one of the flowers from Blossom using bright summery colors.  The cups were then trimmed out.  Continuing with the bright color scheme I stamped the center portion of the cup on some bright yellow patterned paper, trimmed them out, attached them to the cups and then stamped them with sentiments “create”, “inspire”, “happiness” and “believe”.  The lids were also stamped, again, twice, trimmed out and attached to the cups with foam dimensionals.  A panel of bright orange polka dot patterned paper was attached to the card stock base and then I added the cups and the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by… if you haven’t taken part in the Summer Coffee Lover’s blog hop, there is still time to get out your stamps and play along.  You could even win your own “Coffee Love” stamp set!
