{Inspire Me Friday} Krafty Christmas

Hello, everyone!  I’m excited to be here for my {Inspire Me Friday} post using the new release set, Sketchy Christmas.  I am really enjoying this set…how about you?

I had a little fun with paper piecing today…what a great way to use these outline trees and use up some holiday patterned papers, too!

I stamped the trees onto various patterned papers from a coordinating set and fussy cut them, then stamped the trees and sentiment on kraft card stock and paper-pieced them.  All of the papers, including the card base, coordinate so I don’t have to worry about finding patterns that match!

I love the “chalky” lines of the trees and the sentiment, too…and this tree design is so easy to fussy cut!  The red metallic gems add some interest to my trees…but you could use any gems, stickers, brads, pearls, etc. to decorate these fun trees!

I’m sending this card (along with many others) to the Caring Hearts Card Drive to brighten the day of a nursing home resident this holiday season.  Maybe you could make some cards with this fun set and send some along, too?  They are accepting cards through November 27th, so you have plenty of time.

I hope you enjoyed my card…thank you so much for stopping by today!

  2. This is simply charming Judy!! Your paper pieced trees are as sweet as can be. I like the softer reds and greens with the kraft and your tiny touches of bling. Love this!!
