{Inspire Me Friday} Stretching Your Stamps for the Holidays

Hello, everyone!  I’m so happy to be back for my next  {Inspire Me Friday} post using the new release set, Sketchy Christmas.

Today I have two cards to share…and I combined stamp sets for my cards.  I think it is fun to stretch my PRS stamps so I can use them all year ’round.  For my cards today, I decided to make trees from the small triangles in the “Oh So Fun” stamp set.  I know, right?!  How fun are they, so little and cute!

I simply stamped the triangles in a row using grass chalk ink, then added some subtle blue highlights with a Copic marker in order to “ground” the trees.  The sentiment from the “Sketchy Christmas” set is stamped in barn door distress ink.  I die cut the image and, while it was still in the die, I traced the border with a Sakura Gelly Roll glitter pen.

I love the sparkle of the border along with the clear gems atop the trees!

The main die cut image is popped up with foam tape on a dry embossed card base…the big circles made me think of snow!

While I was at it, I made another Christmas card using just the “Oh So Fun” set!  I did not use any Christmas stamps on this card, can you believe it?

I followed the same steps as above, but this time I used a snowflake embossing folder for the card base and mounted the die cut image on another die cut piece of patterned paper.

I hope you will look imaginatively at your stamp sets and try to stretch them so you can use them all year round, no matter what the occasion!  Thank you so much for stopping by today!
