{Inspire Me Friday} Totally Thankful for You

Hello, friends, and happy Friday!  It’s Judy here with my next installment of {Inspire Me Friday} using the fun new “Totally” set.  Have you gotten your hands on this fun arty set yet?  It goes so well with so many other PRS stamp sets…and is very versatile on it’s own, too!

Today I decided to make a one-layer card using the geometric line of shapes to form a frame around my card.

7-29-16 PRS Totally Project 2

Using dye inks from Simon Says Stamp, I stamped the frame in Khaki and the main sentiment using Coral Reef.  The smaller sentiment is from the “Fall Colors” set and is stamped using Mint Candy.  I used the coral and mint inks to watercolor the triangles of the frame and then splattered some droplets on the card base for extra interest.  Finally, I added some adorable sequins from our own design team member Lisa’s “Sweet Pea” sequin mix and a twine bow to finish it off.

Create It Wednesday ~ {You’re Appreciated.}

Happy hump day! Deidre here and I’m bringing today’s creation to you from the sunny beaches of Cancun 🙂

It’s my last day in this stunning area of Mexico, and I wanted to leave a little something special for the staff that has helped make my birthday wonderful. The newly released {Totally} stamp set was perfect for just that!

Totally appreciated

I started by scribbling some Zig Clean Color Brush pens on my watercolor paper, then I used a wet brush to move the color around. I stamped my sentiments and used the brushstrokes and stars in the stamp set to create a frame. A trick you can use to keep the thick stroke closest to your sentiment is to flip the brushstroke upside down before stamping above your sentiment. It really gives your border some symmetry.

I made a banner and used the same watercolor method to highlight “really.”  Have I mentioned that I love (like totally love) that I can use my own handwriting with this stamp set?? I wrote “appreciated” as a way to say thank you to the staff.

So many possibilities with this set! Be sure to check out the PRS Pinterest board for more inspiration and stay tuned for the next DT’s post. Have a wonderful day!

Design It Monday ~ {You’re all that…and more!}

Hi friends, I’m back with another Design It Monday post using the new Totally stamp set. I have a bright and playful card to share today!

16 0720 0016

I started with a die cut tag then added the stamped images. I used the selective inking method on some of the sentiments from the set to mix things up a bit! The line under the word all is stamped a little crooked…oops! I guess that just adds to the hand made charm, looks hand drawn!

16 0720 0015

I used one of the underscores from the Sweet Pea stamp set to emphasis the word that. Several stars were added in three ink colors. The star splatters are from the Journey stamp set. I used one of the little rectangle boxes from the This Moment stamp set to add a hand written message. Some fun patterned paper and twine finished things off for me.

I think this saying applies to all of the PRS stamp sets. They mix and match so easily. Yep, “They’re all that and a bag of chips”!! How’s that for a throwback saying!! Thanks for stopping by.

Saturday Creations ~ {totally Smitten}

How about a mixed media piece using our new Precious Remembrance Totally Stamp Set?

I liked stamping the brush strokes to kinda “frame” the canvas that I inserted into the wooden frame that was painted turquoise.  I even stamped the geometric patterns on the wooden frame and added some molding paste through a stencil!  And then came the dark blue splats!  How FUN is that???!!!

I LOVE combining Precious Remembrance stamp sets and for this creation I used stamps from three different PR stamp sets – PR Totally Stamp Set using three of the stamps, the PR Happy Art Stamp Set for the hearts, and the Sweet Pea Stamp Set (designed by Lisa Elton) for the word Smitten.

This was so much FUN and totally different than the idea I started out with!  Sometimes you just have to go with the creative flow!

Tuesday Ideas: Washi Tape

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa here today!  It feels like it’s been awhile since I’ve posted here, but that’s given me some time to build up some creativity!  This week, I’m sharing a clean & simple card using the newest stamp set, Totally!

I’ve been wanting to use a little copper on my designs lately and did so on today’s card!  I even found some washi tape with copper accents!

2016 July19

I stamped the bold sentiment first in copper ink and then added the subtitle in black ink.  The “us” was simply circled with a black, fine tip marker.  This is where I stopped and stared at the card.  An idea finally struck and I dug out some pretty washi tape with matching copper accents, adhering it to the bottom of the card base.  Then, things felt complete!  So simple and trendy!

I hope you’ll give this new set a try!  It’s got endless possibilities and you can find more inspiration on its very own Pinterest board!

Until next time, happy stamping!

{Inspire Me Friday} You Can Totally Do It Yourself

Hello, everyone!  It’s Judy here with my first project post for the newly released “Totally” stamp set.  I do hope you enjoyed the cards shared by the Design Team on the release day last week (and Lisa’s fun card on Monday).

There are so many possibilities with this set…and not just for card-making.  This set would be great for Project Life journaling cards, scrapbook layouts, artists trading cards, mixed media projects, and so much more!

I decided to try my hand at a different type of card, definitely outside of my comfort zone but in the end I had a BLAST making it!

7-15-16 PRS Totally Project #1

I started out by die cutting a white panel with a stitched rectangle die.  Next, I inked the graphic stripes with two inks (Hero Arts “Butter Bar” and “Orange Soda”) and repeatedly stamped them to cover the entire panel.  Using black dye ink, I stamped the sentiment by mixing two stamp sets – Totally and DIY.  I distressed the edge of the panel with Antique Linen distress ink, mounted the panel on black card stock, then onto a yellow card base.  For the final touches, I added a watercolored flower from the Blossom set and three black pearls.

So, what do you think?  I hope I have inspired you to try something new…you can totally do it!  😉

Thanks for stopping by today!

Create It Wednesday ~ {Totally fabulous!}

What an awesome way to start my first Create It Wednesday as the newest member of this lovely and creative Design Team—having some fun in the art room creating with the newly released {Totally} stamp set! You definitely want to get your hands on this one 🙂 Today, I’m sharing some Gelli printing using this stamp set…yes, paint and stamps do mix!

Totally gelliprint

Quickie How-To:

I squeezed a few tiny dabs of paint in random spots on my Gelli plate (I used Dina Wakley’s Heavy Body Acrylics), then lightly brayered the colors until I liked the mix. I then pressed the stamps into the paint directly on the Gelli plate. The trick to a nice clean print (which is so funny considering it is monoprinting after all lol) is to keep a baby wipe handy to remove all of the paint from the stamp before making the next impression…and perform a good cleaning after you’re done to keep your stamps in good condition! Next is “pulling the print”– I placed a piece of white cardstock on the plate and rubbed all over the back with my hand to get a good print and peeled it up from the corner. Viola! I heat embossed the sentiments with detail white EP on some craft cardstock, added some wooden stars (they look like the stars in the stamp set!), and handwrote “fabulous” and circled “really” with a Gelly Roll pen. I totally love that I can use my handwriting with this stamp set!

Thanks for popping in today and stay tuned for more crafty goodness from the DT to inspire you to create with this new set! Have a fabulous day!

Design It Monday ~ {No Really, Whatever!}

Blog hop giveaway winner announced! Please check it here.

Hello and happy summer! It’s been a while since I’ve had a Design It Monday post to share. But I’m back today with a new card featuring the new {Totally} stamp set. This is a fun set with a funky modern vibe to it! It’s filled with mix and match sentiments along with some fun geometric images.

16 0624 0004

To begin this card, I drew three evenly spaced light pencil lines diagonally on a white panel. Then I stamped one of the geometric images three times with three different inks (Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides & Stormy Seas). I did some selective inking for the double placement of the sentiment. Next I die cut two decorative papers then added them to the lower left corner of the panel. I love the interest this adds to the CAS design. Once popped onto a gray card base it was good to go!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out the upcoming posts from the team using our newest set. Have a wonderful day!
