Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re preparing to use your crafty ideas to jump into the holiday season. I adore customizing my Christmas present wrappings. It shouldn’t just about what’s on the inside of the paper, let’s see what we can do to the paper 🙂 I’m using the {Happy Mail} and {Oh Christmas} stamp sets for today’s collabo.
I’m sure you never have leftover wrapping paper after the holidays right….ha! For this project, I use the bright white, ready to be decorated, reverse side of my leftovers! Because the surface is usually slick and shiny, I use solvent/archival quality inks like Staz-On or Archival Ink.
Wrap the gift, but don’t tape anything down yet. This is super important! Just crease all of the edges so that you can see the area you want to stamp. Most presents aren’t sturdy enough to allow for a crisp image to be stamped directly onto a wrapped gift, so you’ll need to lay it on a flat desk or table to do your stamping. I used the pine sprigs and date from the {Oh Christmas} Stamp set and the tag, “open me”, and “special delivery” from the newest stamp set {Happy Mail}. And because I looooove embossing powder, the tag is done with both gold and green to match!
I hope you look at your leftover wrapping paper in a whole new light! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you “create it” in your own crafty way!
