Foiled Gift Tag by Erica Thompson!

Hello and Happy Saturday! Erica back with you today to share my last project as Guest Designer! I have had so much sharing with you all and I hope you have enjoyed all my projects! I have said this over and over but I really do love all of the stamps from PRS! I get so much use out of them and that is really important to me! Today I am using the Daily Thoughts and Positive Thoughts stamp sets!

I wanted to create a simple tag to add to gift and treat bags! I knew I wanted to use the cassette image from Daily Thoughts but instead of just stamping it out I thought it would be fun to add some gold foil!

Now in order to add foil using my Minc machine I needed to make sure the image was printed with my laser printer. I stamped the image out on a piece of white cardstock and took a photo of it. I then uploaded the photo to my computer and opened it up in Silhouette Studio.

Once it was in Silhouette Studio I resized the image and filled an 8.5×11 sheet with the image. I sent it to my laser printer and then cut our the images. Now they are ready to be sent through the Minc machine for some foil!

This is so easy to do and can be done with other stamped images! I just wish I had more colors of foil in my stash!

I went ahead and foiled all the images that I printed and cut and now I have some super cute tags to use! I can add different sayings onto the cassette as well with stamps or stickers! For this project I used the Positive Thoughts stamp set and stamped the word Hello onto the cassette!

I also added a pretty black doily and some cute polka dot tissue paper! I clipped the tag onto the bag with a gold paperclip that I added some ribbon to. So quick and simple!

I love this technique and hope you give it a try! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! Don’t forget to follow Precious Remembrance Shop on Facebook and Instagram so you can stay up to date on their next release! I know I can’t wait to see it!

Project Thursday ~ Thinking Of You Card Set

PRS-ProjectThursday-Mar8-HelenGullett

Hello everyone… Helen is here today. I have a set of Thinking of You cards to share with you that I created with two stamp sets and buttons. When I make a set of cards or mass-produce, I like to go with clean-and-simple style 🙂

PRS-ProjectThursday-Mar8-HelenGullett-001

First step I created the watercolored backgrounds. I scribble some of the Aquamarine Spectrum Aqua marker on a piece acetate and sprayed with some water. Then I used that acetate to stamp directly on the front of the white cards. I did it couple time to create the layers and dried it every time I added layer of color.

Next step is creating the flowers. I stamped the petals and stalks from Blossom Stamp Set on patterned papers with Versafine Onyx Black. Then I fussy cut each of them with micro-tip scissors. I added the flowers on the cards with dries-clear adhesive glue.

After all the flowers added on the cards, I stamped the sentiment from Daily Thoughts Stamp Set with the same ink pad using Mini MISTI. And then I embellished cards with some Simply Butter Buttons. And the cards are done… here are the close up of the cards:

I love having any type of cards ready in my card box whenever I need them. What type of cards do you like to have them ready in your stash whenever you need it? I hope you all can enjoy this post and inspired to create today.

Thank you so much for stopping today! Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday Ideas {never give up}

Hello and welcome! It’s Kelly here and I’ve got an inspirational card to share with you today. I combined a few sets to create a card for someone who may be going through a hard time. To begin, I embossed the feather image from the DIY Stamp set using gold powder onto vellum. I also embossed a few of the outline star images from the new Daily Thoughts around the feather for some added interest and detail. The smaller  sentiment, which is also from Daily Thoughts, is stamped onto the vellum using Jet Black StazOn ink. I like using this particular ink because it is a solvent ink and it won’t smear on the vellum.

The arrow or chevron image is gold embossed as well onto a strip of coral colored cardstock. I trimmed it down to fit nicely over the vellum piece. I did some loose, messy watercoloring onto a panel of cold pressed watercolor paper and then ran it through my crimping tool for some added texture. I did some creative gluing on the back of the vellum, applying glue on top of the gold stars, the feather, under the coral strip and under the “w” on the word “when”. Once I had the glue in place, I adhered it to the corrugated panel. I applied pressure here and there so that it all stayed in place.

The “never give up” sentiment is stamped in white pigment ink onto  a strip of black cardstock. I added this to the vellum piece using foam squares. This entire focal panel is adhered to a piece of Kraft cardstock that has another embossed detail. I wasn’t planning on using a third set for this card, but I just LOVE the small detail that these horizontal lines give the side of the card. This particular stamp is from the Coffee Love set. I added a few clear sequins, which also have glue under them to hold the vellum to the corrugated piece. The finishing touch is a bow of black and white Baker’s twine, which gives it another pop of black! I actually added the “never give up” sentiment over the top of the tail of the twine to hold it in place.  I love how soft and pretty this card turned out…just perfect to give someone for a bit of encouragement!

Inspire Me Friday – {Currently… Thinking of You}

Hello and happy Friday everyone!!!  Have you been enjoying all the fabulous projects that the design team have been creating over the last two months???  I know I have!!  Today I have a little black and white number that uses both the Daily Thoughts stamp set and another item from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces pack.  I just love that embellishment pack!!

BlackWhite PRS

I started my project by stamping the cassette tape on white cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and then trimmed it out.  I cut a strip of black cardstock and adhered it to a white cardstock card base.  Since I had decided to use the circle sentiment that says ‘thinking of you’ from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces pack I stamped the word ‘currently’ in VersaMark watermark ink and then heat embossed it in white embossing powder.  Once that was done I trimmed it out and layered up all my elements just as you see them.   Super clean, simple and fun!!

Thanks for stopping by today… I hope you have a wonderful one!!
