Inspire Me Friday – {for you}

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  I’m here today with one final project using the fun Sketchy Alphabet stamp set.  For my project today I decided to create a gift bag using one of the white bags available in the Precious Remembrance Shop store.

for you bag 4

My little bag is pretty simple.  I started by creating a rosette from some patterned paper from My Mind’s Eye.  I used a small circle on the back to stabilize the rosette and then adhered the rosette to a pink doily that you can also find in the Precious Remembrance Shop store.   Using a neutral piece of paper from the same pad I stamped the words ‘for’ and ‘you’ in pink and then die cut it with a circle die.   The circle was adhered to the rosette and then I added a little bow twine with some paper twine.    To complete the bag I added a strip of coordinating patterned paper to the bag and a pink button (rose quartz from the Precious Remembrance Shop store) to the center of the twine.     I hope you will give this super fun and easy project a try using your Precious Remembrance Shop stamps!  Don’t forget… if you place a qualifying order of $30 or more you will automatically receive 10 stamp storage pouches!

Hope you have a wonderful day… thanks for stopping by!

Create It Wednesday~Congrats To You

Hello everyone!  I’m back with another project using the versatile Sketchy Alphabet stamp set.  I love how you can create whatever sentiment you want.  This time I simply stamped the letters onto a die cut circle using Distress Ink gathered twigs.  PRS DT April 2 sentimentAfter coloring them in with a marker, I sponged the circle with Distress Oxide fossilized amber, leaving the center white.  The edges were sponged with the gathered twigs to help add definition over the background.  Leaf images work well for both masculine and feminine cards, but this one is for a male relative.  Color combinations that might not work for clothing can make beautiful cards.  Here I used Distress Oxide fossilized amber, cracked pistachio & twisted citron.  PRS DT April 2

I assigned a color to each of the leaves in the Fall Colors stamp set & simple rotated them around the edge of a square card.  If you look close you will see I did first and second generation stamping each time.  PRS DT April 2 close up 1To be sure the circle tied in with the background, I sponged the card edges with fossilized amber and gathered twigs before adding the brown splatters.  Keeping with the masculine theme, I just tied on brown twine & added a wooden burst.  The circle was mounted with thin fun foam giving a bit of dimension.  PRS DT April 2 Close up 2Hope I’ve inspired you to use beautiful leaf images all year long and maybe try out some different color combinations.

The PRS Store now has inks, so be sure to check them out.  This month with a qualifying $30 purchase, you will automatically get 10 stamp storage pouches included in your package–how great is that?!  Happy crafting and I’ll see you soon.

Design It Monday ~ {Always}

Hey there PRS friends! Lisa back today with a final card featuring the Sketchy Alphabet stamp set. This one is pretty simple with a powerful sentiment.

Project_20180421_0003 copy

The popular Positive Thoughts stamp set provided the perfect lead in sentiment to my Sketchy Alphabet word. After stamping it on a kraft gingham panel, I randomly added the circles and splatters (Positive Thoughts). This was added to a marshmallow card base followed with the small strip of floral paper. My kraft panel with the word ‘ALWAYS’ stamped out was die cut then added to the card. The stamped stitched border from Positive Thoughts grounded my design without being too heavy. If you love a soft aqua embellishment as much as I do, you need to head over to the shop for some of the Hand Dyed Seaside Buttons ~ SWOON!!

This sentiment echos something I often tell our son. I’m here for you, no matter what, no matter where, no matter when ~ ALWAYS. Have a blessed day and thanks for visiting with us.

Project Thursday ~ Faith, Hope, Love ATC Cards

Hello everyone… Helen is here and it is time for another Project Thursday. This time I have 3 Mixed Media ATC cards to share with you all.

DD1C0815-685D-480A-BB90-EDAA4537AFA4

I started with creating the backgrounds with some acrylic paints and things I can find aroud the house, such as toile paper roll, plastic knife, buble wrap, and old credit card that I cut one of the edge with kids wave scissors.

On each card, I added the twine on the card and secure it with mini staplers.

For the all the sentiments, I stamp each word using the Sketchy Alphabets Stamp Set on a white cardstock using Black Archival Ink Pad. And then I colored the letters with 3 shades of colors that match with each background using Leisure Arts Premium Colored Pencils.

On this first card, I stamped and heat embossed the circles from New Day Stamp Set using Versamark Ink Pad and Fine White Embossing Powder. And then I stamped the brush stroke image on the 2 edges with Black Archival Ink Pad.

On the second card background, I stamped the circle splatter image from New Day Stamp Set with Versamark Ink Pad, added some Black Glitter embossing powder, and then I heat set it with craft heater.

And on this third card, on that background I stamped the hearts from the Love Coupon Stamp Set with Versamark Ink and I added the WOW! Glitter Embossing Powder. And I heat them up with craft heater. I also stamped the faux stitching all around the edges and the arrows with Black Archival Ink pad.

Tuesday Ideas {Celebrate…it’s your day!}

Hello friends, it’s Kelly here to share a fun birthday card I’ve been working on using the Oh So Fun stamp set as well as the ever-useful Sketchy Alphabet! I love how playful and fun they look on today’s card! I stamped the letters onto some pattern paper and then added some Crystal Glaze to give them the look of epoxy stickers you can buy. That is why I love stamps so much, because you can make as many as you want and you never run out! You always have the letter you need!

The jar image is stamped onto both the pink paper and then again onto the alphabet/number pattern paper and then fussy cut. I added it on top of the pink panel using foam squares. I combined a few of the included sentiments onto a coordinating strip of pattern paper. I added some Rose Quartz buttons on either side for some added detail.

I added another one of the included sentiments at the top of the card base as well as the cute little banner/triangle images. I did some straight machine stitching at the top as well using gray thread. I love how bright and cheery this birthday card came out! Thanks for stopping by today!

Inspire Me Friday… {bloom}

Happy Friday Precious Remembrance Shop friends!  Hope you had a good week and fun plans for the weekend!  I’m stopping in today with a spring-like card that I made using the Sketchy Alphabet stamp set along with two of my favorite PRS stamp sets:  DIY and Blossom.

Earlier in March it seemed like spring had arrived in the Pacific Northwest, but it is now April and our warm spring-like weather seems to have left… I hope it comes back soon, lol!  In the meantime I thought I would bring a bit of spring to the blog today with my project.   I started by looking through my stash of patterned paper and came up with the yellow striped paper.  I stamped one of the flowers from the Blossom set on the paper in yellow ink and then trimmed it out.   A piece of paper from the same pad was die cut with a rectangle die and then stamped with the arrow image from the DIY set in a light gray ink.  I then stamped the stem from the Blossom in an aqua ink over the top.  The sentiment from the DIY set was also stamped in the aqua ink and then I stamped the word bloom in yellow using the Sketchy Alphabet stamp set.   I finished off the card by adhering the flower with foam dimensionals and then added Nuvo Glitter drops in yellow to the center.

Have a wonderful day!

Create It Wednesday~Gift For You

So glad you’ve joined me for another Create It Wednesday post.  There are lots of gift giving occasions coming up including Mother’s Day & graduation.  But it’s also fun to surprise someone with a little something unexpected.  I’ve dressed up a Plain White Flat Paper Bag from the PRS Store.  PRS DT April 1 (1)To begin, I created a tag using the partial die cutting technique with a circle die to fit a Mini White Doilie.  After attaching the doily, I stamped the rest of my tag with the splatters from the Positive Thoughts stamp set using a light green marker.  A scrap of light green cardstock was die cut with a Pretty Pink Posh border die to cover where I cut the doily in half.  Yellow and green Hand Dyed Buttons were easily added with liquid glue.  These beautiful buttons are available in several colors in the PRS Store.  I stamped the letters I needed from the Sketchy Alphabet stamp set in black ink on the green cardstock and punched them out with a little circle punch.  The letters were colored with the green marker and then covered with glitter glue for a fun sparkle. PRS DT April 1 Close Up I had enough of the cardstock left to cut 3 thin strips for the bottom of the tag.  Yellow and white twine was tied in a bow & attached with liquid glue to finish it off.  Before adhering the tag, I stamped a few solid and open hearts from the Love Coupon and the Happy Art stamp sets in yellow ink.  Hope I’ve given you some inspiration for your next packaging project.  Have a great day!

Design It Monday ~ {Two Peas!}

Hello friends! Lisa here today with another installment of Design It Monday. Once again highlighting the Sketchy Alphabet stamp set, I’ve paired it with the Sweet Pea stamp set. Check it out!

Project_20180408_0001 copy

The color scheme for this card was based on the pretty little yellow doily. These (along with blue, pink & white) are available in the PRS shop. I framed the pea pod in a Polaroid die cut then added it to the card along with a selection of coordinating decorative paper. Using selective inking, I added the ‘two peas’ sentiment. Next came the Sketchy Alphabet letters. After stamping and coloring (Tombow Marker) the letters, I punched them out then added them to the card with foam tape.

Easy peasy ~haha, see what I did there!
