Design It Monday ~ (Thinking of You!}

Hello friends! Lisa here today with a couple of bright and happy cards to share. I like to keep a few cards on hand with what I call a generic sentiment. A card to lift a friend’s spirits, a last minute birthday card or just to let someone know they’ve been on my mind. That last thought is just the case with my first card, Thinking of You.

This one started with a white panel and the star splatters from the Journey Stamp Set. I used several colors of bright cheerful inks turning the stamp in different directions to achieve my overall pattern. Next came a die cut window to create the shaker element. Before putting the shaker together, I stamped the sentiment (Daily Thoughts Stamp Set). The shaker is filled with buttons, confetti and sequins.

Not wanting that little die cut square to go to waste, I created a second card.

Once again I started with a white panel and the same die cut opening. This time I filled the opening with the leftover stamped square that included a sentiment from the Blossom Stamp Set. I chose the card base color from the inlaid piece to continue the bright happy look.

  1. These are definitely FUN cards to have in your stash Lisa!! I mean who wouldn’t smile at your fun and bright star shaker card…I love it!! And your leftover square made a perfect card too on the bright yellow card base…you are definitely going to have 2 smiling recipients when these get sent out! Wonderful cards my friend!! :0)
