Tuesday Ideas {Autumn Wishes}

Hi there! It’s Kelly here today sharing a seasonal Autumn card! I’ve been dying to  use this particular sentiment with these amazing leaves for so long and now it is finally time! These images are from the Fall Colors stamp set and it is one of my favorites! I love how the leaves look like prints from real leaves and will give your project that perfect organic feel.

To begin, I stamped the different leaves in four different colors: olive, red, pumpkin, and curry. I stamped the leaves randomly, but making sure that they appeared to be falling. I also took one of the splatter images from the set and stamped it in grey ink here and there.

I stamped the “fall colors” sentiment in black and then added the grid image over the top stamped in grey.  I really wanted to add in some additional color to really enhance the sentiment statement, so I did some ink blending on a separate piece of white cardstock using Distress Oxide inks. Once it was blended, I spritzed it with Shimmer Spray as well as the card front and set those aside to dry.

The “autumn wishes” sentiment is heat embossed in gold powder onto a strip of red cardstock. I also heat embossed the “hi there” sentiment in gold directly onto the card front. I trimmed the blended piece and layered it onto a Kraft cardbase. I did a straight stitch of white thread along the left hand side of the white focal piece. Once that was all done, I adhered it to the Kraft base using foam squares. The “autumn wishes” strip is also adhered to the card using foam squares. This was such a quick and easy autumn card to put together, but the special little touches make it special! The leaves are really starting to put on a show here, so this card will be a happy surprise for someone to find in their mailbox!
