Create It Wednesday~Happy Halloween

Welcome to another edition of Create It Wednesday.  I’ve had a little 3×4 inch black bag in my stash waiting to be used for several years.  The adorable PRS Beware stamp set inspired me to turn it into a goodie bag for a friend.

I stamped the Trick or Treat border 4 times in black ink and Happy Halloween 3 times in purple ink.  I trimmed each into strips and attached them to the bag front.  The cute Jack O Lantern image was stamped in orange ink onto the little scalloped circle die cut.  For a bit of sparkle I added orange glitter glue to the eyes and mouth.

A white crochet thread bow was tied onto the die cut before attaching it to the bag.  Black, purple and orange twines were tied in a bow around the handle to finish it off.  Now I just have to find my shreds and add the candy!

Are you ready for Halloween?  Why not grab one of these sets for yourself while they’re on sale for just $7.99.  I’ll see you next time.

Design It Monday ~ {Little Moments}

Hey there PRS friends! I have a a fall card for you today that would work for many occasions. A birthday, retirement, congratulation…..you pick!

Project_20181006_0001 copy

I’ve paired the Bits and Pieces: Fall Colors collection with a couple of images from the Fall Colors stamp set. This card started with the patterned paper banner. After playing around with the leaves to get my desired look, I adhered them to the back of the banner. This panel was added to a marshmallow panel that was dry embossed. I tucked the two sentiment pieces in then added the stamped square to the front of the banner. A  trio of coordinating buttons completed my card. I think this one has a gender neutral look. The documented piece can be dated to suit the event!

Project Thursday ~ DIY Mini Halloween Candy Bags

Hello everyone… Helen is here for a Project Thursday. Today, I have some easy-to-make DIY Mini Halloween Candy Bags to share with you all.

I am using the Beware Stamp Set on this project. It is a fun Halloween themed stamp set for sure!

There is a little girl image in this stamp set and I thought it will be a cute one to use as to embellish these bags.

I stamped the circle image on an orange cardstock with VersaFine Clair Nocturne – Black Ink Pad and then I used my 1″ circle punch to cut out the circles.

I made the paper medallions using halloween scrapbook papers that I cut into 1 1/4″ x 12″ paper strips. Then I scored each of them at every 1/4″, folded, and glued each circle on top of the medallion using strong adhesive glue.

I stamped the sentiment on a grey cardstock using the same ink pad, trimmed them, and then added on the medallions with strong adhesive glue.

To make the mini bags, it is easy. I used 8 1/5″ x 11″ Black Cardstock that I cut it out into 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, so you’ll get 2 bags from this size of cardstock.

I put the cardstock on score board with 5 1/2″ at the top, then I scored it at 1 1/2″ and 4″. And then I twisted it and scored at 1/4″ for the bottom flap.

Using my micro-tip scissors, I cut off the bottom of the 2 sides and leave the middle one as the bottom flap.

After that I folded the two side flaps and glued them together with strong adhesive glue. And then I closed the bottom flap and glued it with the same glue.

I added each medallions on top of the mini bag using the strong adhesive glue. If you do not have any strong adhesive glue, glue gun works well for this project, too.

This mini bag holds a pack of mini M & M’s, Marties Candy, and Dots Candy. Any small individual wrapped candies will fit in them, I would say 3 candies in each bag.

I hope this project can give you some more ideas for your Halloween party.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday Ideas {Sweet Treats}

Hi! It’s Kelly here today sharing some fun Halloween treat boxes and tags! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays so I love giving lots of fun treats and gifts to friends and family. I used the Beware Stamp Set to create these fun and festive tags!

Even though there isn’t a lot of room on the tags, I was thrilled to be able to incorporate so many of the images that are included in the Beware stamp set. I stamped the pumpkin and spider web images and punched them out using a circle punch. I layered them onto some stacked stars and a circle of star pattern paper.

Once that was done, I heat embossed the diagonal striped image onto the bottom of the tag base. I used that as a guide to stamp the additional images. I also used some silver gems to add some additional detail to the tags.

They look so cute tied up with gingham and stripes for a festive touch! These were so easy to mass produce. This design would also look great as the focal point on a card as well!
