Once again it’s time to ramp up holiday crafting, so I have a couple of Christmas cards for you today. I used three PRS sets including Everyday Stamp Set, Sketchy Christmas and Joy Stamp Set. The A2 size card was done by stamping the large background image from Everyday Stamp Set using Distress Ink faded jeans on a watercolor panel.
Then I spritzed with water & let the ink spread on it’s own. When it was dry I stamped a Sketchy Christmas tree in Distress Oxide lucky clover and Merry Christmas in Versafine Clair Nocturne. A stitched rectangle was dry embossed for a frame and I popped up the Happy New Year sentiment strip. To finish things off, I added silver confetti to match the silver mat. Sometimes it’s fun to make a smaller card, like my second one which is 3 1/2 x 4 3/4.
Again I stamped the background image from Everyday Stamp Set. This time I used pumice stone Distress Ink & blended with a wet brush. Kind of looks like mountains–perfect for a modern, rustic design. I stamped the triangle tree from Sketchy Christmas three times in lucky clover Distress Oxide and the word Joy from the Joy Stamp Set in Distress Oxide candied apple. I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle and added a couple extra layers of cardstock for dimension. I sponged the pumice stone ink on the card front before adding the panel. Hope I’ve given you some inspiration for your holiday cardmaking. See you next time.
