Inspire Me Friday – {Something New & A Year in Review}

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  Rosemary here with my final Inspire Me Friday post for the year.   This post is a little bittersweet as this is also my final post as a member of the Precious Remembrance Design team.  I want to thank Dyane to asking me to rejoin the team this year.  It has been a lot of fun designing with Precious Remembrance Shop stamps over the last year, but sadly I must say goodbye.  My final project is one combining the Everyday stamp set with the Coffee Love stamp set.

For this card I decided to use a piece of embossed rose gold paper from a pad I recently picked.  The papers are from DCWV and the pad has glitter papers in it, these embossed ones, metallic and several others.  I just fell in love with the embossed paper and had to use it.  I simply cut two pieces and adhered them to a panel of white cardstock that I had die cut with a rectangle die.  To make my coffee cup I first stamped some white cardstock with the swipes background image from Everyday using Memento Desert Sand ink.   I then stamped the coffee cup from Coffee Love over the stamping with VersaMark watermark ink and embossed it using copper embossing powder.  Did that again for the center band of the cup as well as the lid.   I trimmed out all the pieces and before adhered them I stamped the heart circle image from Coffee Love on the band with the Desert Sand ink and then stamped the sentiment from Everyday in VersaFine CLAIR  Nocturne over the top.   The band and the lid were adhered with foam tape and then the cup was attached to the card front.   A clean and simple, but somewhat elegant birthday card!

Now that I have shared my final project with you I would like to share my favorite projects from the last year.   First up is a card I made using the Daily Thoughts stamp set along with items from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces pack.prs card

This next project uses several different PRS stamp sets.  The fun Sketchy Alphabet, Positive Thoughts and Blossom.  Love the clean and simple design!

Another favorite project from this past year is this card.  This card uses images from DIY and Little Things.

Do you see a pattern forming?  Most of my favorites center around stamping!  This next project is full of stamping with another favorite PRS set, Fall Colors.

My last project is probably my most favorite and I think showcases perfectly just how much fun you can have with PRS stamp sets!  This card was made with the Beware stamp set, New Day stamp set and one of my go to PRS stamp sets:  Positive Thoughts.

I hope I inspired you to pull out your Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets and start mixing and matching to see what you can create!  Have a very happy new year!

Project Thursday ~ A Coffee Card and A Year In Review

Hello everyone, I hope you all have a fabulous holidays week! Can you believe that a year almost gone by? New year is coming in 4 more days! And it also means that is the end of my term with Precious Remembrance Shop. It has been an amazing year and for sure I am so grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing team, for Dyane, and for her generosity through out the year.

I have one more card to share with you all today. I created this card with the new Everyday Stamp Set and Coffee Love Stamp Set.

I stamped one of the artsy image from the Everyday Stamp Set with Versamark Ink Pad and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then, I added some red paint using Sakura Koi Water Colors on the background. The heat embossed image resist the watercolor paint.

I used smooshing technique and splatter technique to add more texture with the watercolor paint. I dried it, distress the edge of the paper, and added it on a white card with permanent adhesive.

I stamped the cup from the Coffee Love Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair – Nocturne Ink Pad on a white cardstock and then I fussy cut it with scissors.

I stamped the sentiment on the cup with VersaFine Clair – Glamorous and I added the cup on the card with 3D foam tape.

For the other sentiments, they are from Everyday Stamp Set that I stamped with VersaFine Clair – Glamorous, trimmed it into sentiment stripes, and then I added them on the cup with 3D foam tape.

And… before you all go… Here are my Top 5 favorite cards that I created with Precious Remembrance Shop in this year of 2018:

The little hearts were white embossed on the travel cup which I stamped in Versafine Clair Onyx ink and fussy cut.  I used gray and red Zig watercolor pens for some ombre coloring.  The sentiment was stamped on a light gray panel splattered with red.   I mounted the cup with foam tape and stamped the little lines on the card front before adding the panel.  Fun to use white sequins for steam.  Wishing everyone a peaceful, crafty 2019.

Inspire Me Friday – {Sending Hugs}

Hello and happy Friday everyone!  Rosemary here with an artsy little card that I made with the Everyday stamp set and two of my favorite Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets, DIY and Positive Thoughts.   Several years ago I made a card using the feather image from the DIY set to create a stylized heart.  I decided to do that again for my card today.

sending hugs

My first love when it comes to papercrafting is just plain stamping.  I love to combine images from different sets with fun colors and see where things take me.  That is one of the things I have liked so much about Precious Remembrance Stamps.  The ability to combine images and just have fun!  I found a fun color palette that included pink, red, blue and green and got to work.   I spent some time stamping the images in different colors to see what would work best.  I knew the stylized heart would be red and originally I had the heart background stamped in pink, but then as I got further into the process I realized that I didn’t want the hearts (from the Positive Thoughts set) down the side of the bottom panel to be blue and green so I changed the background for the heart to the blue and stamped the hearts in pink and green.  I finished up the bottom panel by adding the sentiment from Positive Thoughts in red and then stamping the dot image from Everyday in pink over the heart.  I added the arrow image from DIY over the hearts with the light blue and then added the splatter image (also from DIY) in green.  I mounted the heart panel over the bottom panel with foam tape.  The sentiment from the Everyday set was stamped in VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne, trimmed down and adhered.  Everything was then adhered to a light gray cardstock base.   I really love how this turned out and I hope I gave you some ideas as to how to combine images from different Precious Remembrance Shop sets.

Wishing you a wonderful Christmas!

Project Thursday ~ Artsy Birthday Bag and Tag

PRS-ProjectThursday-GiftBag-and-Tag

Hello everyone… The “Getting Artsy Week” is continue! Helen is here today and I have an artsy, fun birthday gift bag and tag to share with you all for this Project Thursday.

PRS-ProjectThursday-GiftBag

I use the Plain – White / Flat Paper Bag for the gift bag. I inserted a stamping pad that I made out of fun foam inside the bag for easy stamping. And then, I stamped it with the artsy images from the Everyday Stamp SetHappy Art Stamp Set, and New Day Stamp Set.

I stamped each image in different colors using the VersaFine Clair – CheerfulVersaFine Clair – SummertimeVersaFine Clair – Green Oasis, and VersaFine Clair – Warm Breeze.

PRS-ProjectThursday-Tag

Next is creating the gift tag. First, I created the 2 ombre color backgrounds with monoprint technique using acrylic paints and gelli plate. I pulled the print using heavyweight cardstock.

I stamped one of the jars from the Oh So Fun Stamp Set on the green/blue ombre print with VersaFine Clair – Nocturne and then I fussy cut it with micro-tip scissors.

I stamped the sentiment from the Everyday Stamp Set on the orange/yellow print using the  VersaFine Clair – Nocturne. I cut it into sentiment banner and punch a tag hole on it.

I wrapped twine around the jar and then I added the tag and one of the Light Mint Buttons. I use one of the mini wooden clothes pin to add the tag on the gift bag.

I hope this project give you idea how to celebrate someone’s special day in artsy kindda way. Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

Create It Wednesday~Artsy & Fun Birthday Card

Hope you’re enjoying our artsy celebration week on the blog.  I decided to make a funky birthday card using these three PRS Stamp Sets:  EverydayOh So Fun and Fall Colors.  You may not see a flower image in these sets, but that didn’t stop me from making one for my card!  PRS DT 3 sets for flower

I began with the Everyday stamp set where I saw the circle as a bloom, one of the lines as a stem and the triangle as leaves.  The bloom was a little too small, so I used one of the solid triangles in the Oh So Fun set to give it more substance.  Must admit, it was fun to step outside my comfort zone to be a little artsy!  I used Distress Oxides abandoned coral, cracked pistachio and wilted violet along with a white pen for dots in the flower center.

PRS Flower Third Try Brighter Only

I layered 6 scalloped frame die cuts using gray cardstock for the top layer.  The sentiment from Oh So Fun was stamped in a dark gray ink.  I love the splatter images in the Fall Colors Stamp Set and used one for my card.  So glad you stopped by and hope you’ll check out the DT projects each day this week.  See you next time.

Tuesday Ideas {Merry Christmas}

20181217_112651

Hi! It’s Kelly here today! This week we’re “getting artsy” and pulling out all of those fun stamp sets with artsy type images! I’m still in full on Christmas mode, so I decided to use Sketchy Christmas and paired it with the Happy Art stamp set! I love how it turned out! I recently made another rainbow Christmas card and I knew that these fabulous sketchy trees would be perfect to create another rainbow scene!

20181217_112711

I stamped each of the different trees included in the set in rainbow colors. I love all of the variation that each tree gives to the design. I stamped the little squiggle line as the trunks of the brush type trees in black ink for some contrast.

2018-12-17-11-37-35

I also added the trio of triangles from the Happy Art set to add some extra movement into the design. Once that was done, I was still feeling artsy, so I used my color spritzing tool and added some color around each tree using the same color marker as tree. I added coordinating Nuvo drops to each tree as well. The finishing touch is the heat embossed “Merry Christmas” sentiment. I love how it looks on the black card base! I had a lot of fun with this design. I hope that each of you will try getting out your artsy stamps and see where it takes you!

Design It Monday ~ {Create Art}

Hi there, Lisa here today. Our fearless leader Dyane challenged us to use some of the artsy images from various stamp sets to have some inky fun! This card is a bit different from my usual style. But then again, the layers, colors and embellishments are my style, so maybe I didn’t stray too far after all! I’ll let you decide.

18 1215 003 copy

Layer number one is a vintage cream card base stamped with the string and splatter images from the Happy Art stamp set. The next layer holds images from the DIY stamp set. It was added to the base with fun foam. I used the same teal/green ink on this layer but stamped it off once for a lighter shade. My third layer comes in the form of a ribbon tab. It’s a simple embellishment that adds so much interest. Layer number four holds the paint swipes image from the Everyday stamp set and a sentiment from the Blossom stamp set. The fifth layer is a simple trio of sequins.

I had so much fun creating this little piece of art. It’s nice to step out of that comfort zone from time to time!

Stay tuned, there are more artsy creations coming from the team!
