Hi there! Lisa here today with a bright and happy project to start your week. I’ve used the Daily Thoughts and New Day stamp sets on one of the white bags from the shop for today’s project.
This came together in a snap. First up was the stamping of the three red paint swipes followed with the yellow. Then I inked up the small and medium dotted circles followed with the tiny star clusters.
I chose black ink for the sentiment to be sure it stood out. The die cut bird was created with the large circle splatter (New Day stamp set).
To be sure the tails of the bow held there positions, I added ultrathin pieces of Scor -Tape here and there. The center of the bow was added to the bag with a glue dot.
Isn’t this fun! I’ll be tucking in a watercolor paint set to send my granddaughter some happy mail.
Hello and welcome! I have another bright and happy CAS card to share with you today. Once again I’m featuring the New Day stamp set using primary colors. Take a look…
The idea popped into my head out of nowhere to use the paint swipe image on a picket fence die cut. I put the fence in my Misti and stamped with red ink. Making marks on the grid paper for positioning, I then added the horizontal section of the fence to the Misti to add the red ink to it. I followed these same steps with the yellow and blue inks. The horizontal sections were added to the fence with foam tape.
After stamping the sentiment, I thought the card need something else. I found a tiny solid bird image in my stash and kissed it with the dotted circle from the set. By that I mean that I inked the solid image, pressed it onto the circle image then onto paper. I trimmed the tiny bird out and popped it onto the card with foam adhesive over a sold stamped bird. It sounds complicated, but it’s easy!
Maybe if Tom Sayer has used bright happy colors, instead of boring whitewash, he wouldn’t have tried to convince his friends to paint that long fence!
Good morning! Hope you had a fabulous week. Nicole here with a fun mixed media layout I created using some Colorations Color Sprays by Art Anthology and lots of stamps from Precious Remembrance Stamp Shop. To begin, I sprayed the Colorations Spray onto white cardstock using Salmon, Peacock Feathers and Sky spray. Once the spray ink was completely dry, I used my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine to punch out a variety of stars in different sizes to decorate the layout.
Once I was satisfied with the placement of the stars, I glued them down. Then I placed the photo down on the page and tucked a few die cuts and puffy stickers here and there. I used foam squares to pop up one of the enamel dots within the star to add dimension. I used the New Day Stamp, Sweet Pea and Little Things stamp sets on this layout.
I used foam squares to pop the “yay” die cut off the page.
I used a ruler and pen to add my journaling at the bottom. Then I stamped a few additional sentiments/hearts. I love the tiny hearts!
I really love how colorful this layout is. It’s so bright and cheery, perfect for summer!
Happy Wednesday everyone! Guest designer Heather is back with another fun scrapbooking layout for us. All the details and color combo are so much fun!♥ Make sure to watch her video tutorial below to see the entire process. Happy Stamping!:)
Primary colors and summer go hand in hand to me, how about you? I’ve paired them up with a couple of fun funky images from the New Day stamp set.
When I work with bright colors, I tend to do them on a smaller scale. To make these extra bright, I used my Misti and stamped multiple times. Next I die cut the top right corner for added interest. A second layer of red was added to that border for more pizzazz. Can you tell red is my favorite of the Primary colors ~ hee! I trimmed this panel down then popped it onto a tent fold card base measuring 3 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ (give or take!)
I hope you didn’t need your sunglasses for this one!
Happy Friday friends! Today, I’m sharing a layout I created using stamps from the Journey Stamp Set. I was in the mood to create a mixed media layout and these were perfect for embellishing this layout!
To begin, I used my Silhouette Portrait to create a stencil for the background using heavy cardstock, Paige Evan’s Heart Confetti Background digital cut file and some molding paste! Super fun!
Once the paste was completely dry, I splashed some watercolor paints all over the background. Then I stamped the “a picture makes every moment last forever” onto patterned paper and then cut it out using scissors to create my own die cut.
I used Paige Evan’s floral digial cut file to help pull the bottom together with a few more die cuts, buttons from the shop and some more sentimental stamps at the bottom.
I had such a fun time creating this layout using a selfie photo I took on the beach back in May. 🙂 It was our first warm weekend and I took advantage of it!
Once I was satisfied with the placement of the scribbles, I matted the photo with several pieces of snippets as shown. LOVE THESE!! They are super cute. I added a few more snippets at the bottom to make it more funky. Then I used the heart stamp and triangles to add a few more shapes. I colored them in using markers and jewels. I punched the butterflies from cardstock and used a variety of paint from Bad Girls Couture’s shop to paint them. Then I added some black splatters to break up the red a bit.
This layout is something different for me because I am so not a pink or red girl… BUT I LIKE IT on paper… 🙂
I hope I inspired you today to use lots of snippets and stamps/shapes on your next project. It’s super fun! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
