There’s a lot of photos to see, browse around and let me know what you think! We definitely have more collection lined up, stay tune!:)

As a stay at home mom & a small business owner, my days are repetitive. Of course I do my priorities first as a Mom & Wife, to take care of my family. And then I do some work for my shop. Decorating planner is definitely my newest hobby & yes, I find time to do it.lol – When I get a chance!:)

Since I can’t decorate it on the spot / same week – I right down my notes on a separate notebook, it’s a quick tip for those of us who can’t make projects right away! And then, when I get a chance I decorate it later on.:)

I got this planner recently from Michael’s – they have a lot and this is the vertical planner. The boxes are pretty standard – approximately 1.5″ x 2″.

We were on vacation on this week, so I have to say I have more notes than usual. Since we did a lot of things, visiting family & more!

I plan chronologically, and in white space.

I mixed it up with some washi tapes. Specially if the colors will blend perfectly with the stickers!:) I know you got a lot of washi tapes out there-lol. It’s time to use it up & create fun planner pages!

I hope you got inspired for today’s project. We have more planner projects to show & more collections to add.

Thank you so much for joining me today! It’s now’s available in the shop. If you’re interested.

Happy Planning!

Scrapbooking Layout + Video Tutorial: Sisters Love! by Missy Whidden!

Hello again, friends!  Missy here, and I have a new layout to share using stamps from four different stamp sets.  I combined the Blossom Stamp Set, the Fall Colors Stamp Set, the Happy Art Stamp Set and the Date Stamp Set on this page.  I began with the flower stamps from the Blossom set, some black Archival Ink and a scrap sheet of white cardstock.  I created several flowers and then added color to them using some Prima Watercolor Pencils.  I fussy cut them all out and arranged them around my photo as separate embellishments.  I used a light pink cardstock for the background and played off several shades of pink throughout the page.  I used a few random patterned papers as layers behind my photo and tucked the flowers in around it.  On the background, I added a bit of white gesso first and then I used a few stamps in a random way along with some gelatos.

Check out how awesome these flowers turned out!  They’re from the Blossom Stamp Set.  Cutting them out and using them as embellishments really creates some nice dimension.  It was really easy to color them in with the colored pencils.  You could do this with any type of mixed media products and any color scheme.

Here you can see the stamping on the background.  I used a messy grid stamp from the Fall Colors Stamp set, and I just held it in my hand instead of sticking it to a stamping block.  I was going for a bit of messy texture, and this stamp worked great.  I traced a big circle behind everything and machine stitched around it.  I also added some black tangled thread behind the photo and layers.  I embellished with a few Me & My Big Ideas stickers, and my title is from the Crate Paper Cute Girl collection.

Here’s another look at the flowers.  I really love how they turned out.  There are stems with leaves in the Blossom Stamp set as well, so you could add those to the flowers and get a totally different look.

Down at the bottom I used the grid stamp again.  I also used some of the small open triangles from the Happy Art Stamp Set to create some subtle shapes on top of the big circle.  I used a pink Prima chalk ink for those.  I drew some lines and added my journaling down below everything.

I hope this inspires you to mix and match your stamps!  And don’t be afraid to use them in a different way.  It’s fun to get creative with them!  I hope you’ll check out my process video to see how I created this.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Scrapbooking Layout + Video Tutorial: Noooo! by Missy Whidden!

Hey there, friends!  Missy here, and I have a new layout to share today.  I decided to create a back-to-school layout since my sweet girls went back last week.  These photos are from a few years ago, and I finally scrapped them!  They weren’t too thrilled with me taking their photo…can you tell?  Haha!  I was inspired by that adorable school bus stamp from the School Days Stamp Set.  I made an embellishment from it and then worked my page around it.  I also used stamps from the Journey Stamp Set and Sketchy Alphabet Stamp Set.  I love creating backgrounds on white cardstock, so I did that  and then used the stamps as embellishments and part of my title.  For the background, I scraped some blue and white acrylic paint with a palette knife.  I wanted a bit of texture, so I scraped some modeling paste over a circle stencil.  Once that dried, I used some blue ink sprays over it.  I chose blue because that color contrasted nicely with the photos since they didn’t have a lot of blue in them.

I stamped the school bus on some white textured cardstock.  You can get different looks with textured vs. smooth cardstock.  I like both, and I wanted the bus to look a little bumpy and messy.  I used some watercolors to add color and then cut it out.  I added some foam under it as well as some tangled thread to create dimension.  Here you can see the cool texture from the paste.  I cut the big title on my Cameo using white cardstock.  I used the Watermelon font and stretched it across the page.  It says exactly what my kids were saying…haha!

I love how this area turned out.  I drew a few lines with a pencil and then used the Sketchy Alphabet Stamp Set to finish the title.  The strips to the left are from a Journey Stamp Set stamp.  I just cut into strips and glued them down to make them look typed.  You don’t always have to use stamps as they are.  Think outside the box and create your own look with them!  Don’t be afraid to stamp them on some scrap paper and cut them out.  I used a white piece of packaging from some stickers for that, and it turned out very smooth.  You can see the difference between how that looks and how the bus looks.  Two different kinds of paper gives you a different look.  I added a bit of washi tape down in this area and machine stitched over it.

    Nooooo2

I decided to be a bit sarcastic up at the top with the “smile” stamp from the Journey Set.  I’ve learned to just take the photo regardless if my kids are smiling, and I’m glad I did on this day!  Smiles or not, it’s a memory I don’t want to forget.  I stamped it a few times to create a dark to light effect.

I used a few Me & My Big Ideas 3×4 cards as layers here as well as Simple Stories patterned paper.  I added one more stamp right on top of the photos here.  It’s from the School Days Stamp Set, and I stamped it on white packaging.  I cut it out and used some pink ink spray and a gelato to color it.

I hope this gives you some fun ideas to try with your stamps!  Remember to really study them and think of interesting ways you can use them.  I have a process video here if you’d like to see how I put this layout together.

Scrapbooking Layout + Video Tutorial : Lovely by Missy Whidden!

Hey there, friends!  Missy here again, and I have a fun layout to share today using stamps from three different sets.  I used the New Day Stamp Set, the This Moment Stamp Set and the Date Stamp Set.  I used up some of my stash for this page, and I really love how it turned out.  I wanted to do some heat embossing on my background, so I pulled the three circles from the New Day Stamp Set and used gold embossing powder on them.  I created my background using a wide strip of Dear Lizzy Documentary patterned paper and layering it over some white cardstock.  I covered a lot of the paper with white acrylic paint first.  I did the embossing once I decided where my photo was going to go.  After I did the embossing, I came in with some paints and sprays to jazz up the background and create a watercolor effect.  The fun thing about embossing is that it resists any liquid, so the color went on the areas in between the circles.

Look at how gorgeous these circles turned out!  You could do this technique with any of the stamps and any color powder.  I decided to embellish my layout with bits and pieces from the Fancy Pants Happy Place collection and the Simple Stories Life in Color collection.  My title is a black foam glitter sticker from Pinkfresh Studio.  I love how everything looks together with the gold stamped circles.

Here you can see all the layers I created by tucking in bits and pieces under and around the photo.  I also added some foam under all of it to raise it up off the page.  This creates such great dimension.  in addition to the packaging technique, I also used my brush and the nozzle to splatter the paint around the page.

I used the This Moment Stamp Set here down at the bottom to create this fun cluster.  I first used a few stickers from Simple Stories and then stamped that label with the heart and the word “memories” under it.  I also used the Date Stamp Set here to add the date.  To finish this area off, I ran it through my sewing machine using metallic gold thread.

I did more stamping above the photo using the phrase “This Moment” from the This Moment Stamp Set.  Those small sentiments aren’t just for cards; I love using them on my layouts like this.  They make the perfect little details.  Again, I added stitching along the grid paper for extra texture and shine.

I hope this inspires you to pull out your stamps and create a fun background with them.  And don’t shy away from using the smaller stamps on your pages, either!  Those little details can sometimes make the biggest difference.  I have a process video for you if you’d like to check it out.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!

Our Cue Word is – Balloon.

Here’s the card that I came up with.:) I always enjoy images that can be use in different ways. They say, always think outside the box. Well, since I don’t have “balloon” stamp, I made my own using circles!Yay! These circle images are from our Positive Thoughts stamp set – which is use mostly as a background, and the A+ circle is from our School Days stamp set & I used 1″ circle punch so I can layer it over the other circles!

To make the “string” of the balloon, I stamped it using the borders from the School Days stamp set, as well as the “you are awesome” sentiment. And the images inside the circles are stamped using the Coffee Love stamp set & Positive Thoughts stamp set.

To add more interest, I stamped the arrow border on the side of the card using the Journey Stamp Set.

I added another sentiment below the card to complete and make this card perfect for a celebration! I used the letters from our Sketchy Alphabet stamp set.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I tried my best to make it clean & simple. But you know, it’s kinda’ hard to stop when you’re having so much fun stamping.:) lol

I hope you enjoyed my project!:)

Video Tutorial: All Smiles by Missy Whidden!

Hey there, friends!  Missy here, and I’m really excited to be joining the Design Team!  I’m sharing my first layout today, and I used the cute heart stamp from the Love Coupon Stamp Set.  I wanted to create lots of little colorful hearts for a background design.  I pulled out some of my Distress Inks and some textured white cardstock.  Sometimes I like going for a distressed and messy look, so using these inks and the textured cardstock is perfect.  I stamped the heart multiple times in various colors, and some of them I overlapped the colors.  I then fussy cut them all out.  I was inspired by my daughter’s shirt and all the fun colors.  I tried to match them all and create a colored heart explosion.:)

I love how all the hearts turned out.  I really love how you can see the texture from the cardstock.  I like when the stamped image isn’t perfect.  I layered all the hearts in groups of the same color to create a rainbow effect.  I can’t resist a rainbow color scheme, especially when it’s in my photo!

I did a little watercolor work on the background before I glued down the hearts.  I used mostly the same color inks as I used to stamp the hearts, and I also added in some other spray inks.  I didn’t want to cover up the hearts too much, so kept most of the embellishing light and below the hearts.  I layered in two big skinny die cut hearts behind the photo and added my title on the bottom of the hearts. I added in a cute Fancy Pants flair button, but the hearts are still visible.

Here you can see the work I did around the photo.  To the left, I added in matching strips of washi tape.  I just wanted splashes of color in a messy & artsy fashion, so I just layered them and tore them.  I used a few colors of thread to machine stitch for added texture and detail, and then added in a few Fancy Pants die cuts.  I found a cute Hip Kit Club puffy sticker and then added a few sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps.

I stitched through my title and created a little cluster of washi tape and die cuts down at the bottom.  I love the dimension of the hearts!  You could easily do this with any stamp and any color scheme.  I love fussy cutting because then you can move it around anywhere you want.

I hope this inspires you to create a fun background design with a single stamp.  And don’t be afraid to take a little extra time to do some fussy cutting.  You don’t have to just stamp on your background paper.  The possibilities are endless!  You can check out my process video if you’d like to see how I put this layout together if you’d like.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
