Different shades of….. / Look at the bright side!

Hi stampers! Yay! I can’t believe it’s almost summer time.  How was your half of the year so far?:) Oh time flies ~ June is here!

Today’s project is simply fresh. When I see color green, for me it is refreshing, so natural- just like nature. It’s not my most favorite color, but I always adore it!

Here I played with different shades of green inks, stamped my feather image from our DIY stamp set, sentiment from New Day stamp set, and bright triangles from Happy Art stamp set.

I also splattered some green and pink watercolors to make it more playful! I love it!♥

Let me know what you think with this card!:)

Just a quick reminder: Orders between June 9 – 20, 2016 will be shipped on June 21, 2016. Thank you for your understanding!:)

Thanks for joining me today!

Happy stamping!:)

Special Day : Oh So Colorful! + Stamp Sale!

Welcome back stampers!:) It’s almost the end of May, can you believe that? Yay!:) I hope you’re enjoying the weather and some spring projects around the house. I had fun planting and oh how I love my new flowers!:)

Today’s project is so colorful and fun! My inspiration is making an artsy flowers using the big splatter , and scribbles from the Happy Art stamp set. With the circle centerpieces from the New Day stamp set. I heat embossed the scribbles and centerpieces in white embossing powder, not only it will make the color pop, but the texture is fantastic.

I stamped some fun elements around using the same stamp sets. Added my sentiment from our Happiness:Paper Snippets, and behind that, I tucked in some threads for more texture. Don’t forget to color in between the stamped flowers using watercolors if you like, just lovin’ the pop of yellow and pink everywhere!:)

Don’t forget to check the shop for some sale going on!:)

Have a fun weekend!

Thanks for joining me today!

You Make Me Happy….:) + News!

Hi stampers!:) Glad to be back here again sharing another project for you!:) I’m very happy that you guys are enjoying the Happy Art stamp set along with the designers projects and more!

For my project, I started with my background using a yellow watercolor. Once dry, I stamped the splatters, scribbles, and big smudge from the Happy Art stamp set, using a navy blue ink. For my sentiment, I used  the Happiness : Paper Snippets. And lastly I added more embellishments, like thread , enamel dots, as well as sequins, and buttons which is also available in the shop.

I also want to share a happy news that Deidre Payne will be joining our Design team! Hooray!!! Welcome Deidre!!!:)

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! The chance to join these creative artists and fabulous stamp designer at Precious Remembrance Shop is mindblowing. I’m Deidre and I live in blogland at Eyes Wide Open Arts. I reside in Hampton, VA and work as a pharmacy manager. I create at all hours of the day and night, and my doggies (Scribble and Wifi) sit at my feet and make me hop around them to get to all my supplies. Teaching, sharing, collaborating, and meeting new crafters are passions of mine. I started with paper crafts in 2011, dabbling in scrapbooking. The whirlwind of the crafting world snatched me up and I just went with it! I love graphic designs and bright colors, the unexpected, and lots of techniques. I hope to bring you some sparks of inspiration with these must have unique stamps!

She was our guest designer last month, and if you missed her amazing projects here they are!!!:)

I Love Messy and a Giveaway! by: Deidre Payne

Hopefully, you’ve have come to adore the newest release from Precious Remembrance Shop!

I’ve had a blast guest designing this month and showcasing some fun ways

to use this awesome stamp set!

Check out the Happy Art Stamp Set!

My crazy fun card!

I got to make some organized chaos for this card :) How?

  1. Take some spray inks or stains and let them run down the side of the card. I dried each color with a heat tool before adding the next. I used Spun Sugar, Stormy Sky, Shaded Lilac, and Evergreen Bough Distress Stains.
  2. Stamp the trio of hearts and triangles in rows using different color inks. Add a few of the single hearts.
  3. Use a deep black ink to stamp the small splatter stamp and sentiment. You can layer the splatters to make them appear larger!
  4. The last bits of magic are splashes of the stains and Wink of Stella over the all the black ink! Yessss to sparkle :)

I love this watery look and it’s perfect for the sentiment.

Since I’ve enjoyed this stamp set so much, I want to gift one in a GIVEAWAY!

Just leave a comment on my blog or Instagram page telling me what

you love about this stamp set by Friday 11:59 PM PST.

Winner will be selected at random and announced on Saturday morning!

HAVE FUN MAKING HAPPY ART!

Happy Art Flowers by: Deidre Payne!

Time to use your imagination a bit! I’m super excited to share my third post as Guest Designer for Precious Remembrance Shop’s new release of the Happy Art Stamp Set…and this card is full of flowers that I made using these super artsy stamps. Yes, flowers!!

The stamp set, in case you’ve missed it:

My card!

I was playing with these stamps and had a total “wowsers” moment.

If I use the large ink splat with the small splatter on the inside, it looks like a flower!

To make them:

  1. Ink the large splat really well with the lighter color, then tap the darker color around the edges only of the stamp and stamp onto your paper. Repeat with your color combos. I used Distress Inks in Spun Sugar/Picked Raspberry; Peacock Feathers/Evergreen Bough, and Twisted Citron/Lucky Clover.
  2. Lighten the center by lifting some of the color from the paper: use a water brush with just plain water, then dab with a paper towel. This is why I used Distress Inks, but optional :)
  3. Ink the small splatter stamp with a good, rich black ink (like Versamark) and stamp in the center of each flower.
  4. Stamp the solid and open triangles  from the set and sponge ink into the corners.
  5. Spice it up with some Liquid Pearls dotted in the center of each flower!

The sentiment is also from Precious Remembrance Shop’s, New Day Stamp Set.

I love abstract thinking, and I really hope you enjoyed stretching this stamp set with me!

xoxo Deidre
