Merry Christmas Tag by: Jen Mitchell!

I love to use non-traditional colors on my Christmas projects sometimes so today I’ve made a gift tag using some shades of pink.  I started with a base of kraft and white then stamped a sketchy tree a couple of times in a vibrant pink.  Then I glammed it up a bit with some shimmery golden ink for one more tree plus the sentiment.  A little gold cord tied around my seam binding ribbon ties all those gold touches together nicely.

Merry Christmas by Jen Mitchell!

I am really loving the sketchy trees in this set.  They are perfect for doing some stamping off which is exactly what I did with my card.  I chose a traditional green color and stamped the tree once to get the deeper color image then immediately stamped the tree again to give the softer tree in the background.  This sentiment, which reminds me of a label maker, is perfect for hanging off the edge of my layers.  I added sequins and some snowfall in the background because what Christmas tree design is complete without some snow?

Please welcome Jen Mitchell!

Hi! I’m Jen Mitchell from Bridgewater, Massachusetts.  By day I’m a banker busy crunching numbers and staring at my computer so it’s a big stress reliever for me to come home from work and escape into my craft room to create a card or two.  I’ve been stamping for at least ten years, but who’s counting?  My style tends towards clean and simple but I like to add in some sketchy elements once in a while so I love the images from Precious Remembrance!

Here are some of my favorite projects by Jen using our stamps.:)

Amazing right?:) Yay! I’m so excited to see her projects using Sketchy Christmas stamp set.
