Happy Mother’s Day by: Annette Allen

Good Morning sweet Precious Remembrance Shop friends. Annette Allen here with you again today with another fun guest design post.

I am super excited to be here with you again today and hope that I can inspire you.

On today’s card I used Precious Remembrance ShopLove Stamp Set and Mom & Dad. I thought it would the perfect time to share a Mother’s Day card.

Again I am sharing how perfectly you can combine the Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets.

My mom likes shinny stuff so I had to add some fun stickles to this card. Just to bring an extra special smile. With a few layers and a couple pop ups.

This card is ready to bring a smile.

This is my last post as guest designer. It has been a true pleasure and I hope that I have inspired you. I am forever a Precious Remembrance Shop fan and will always have something to share. So make sure and check out my blog: My Clever Creations. Thanks for having me.

{Saturday Creations} ~ it’s okay to be different

I just love this sentiment in the Precious Remembrance New Day Stamp Set!  I LOVE the fonts, the splats and how it’s underlined!  It is the inspiration for today’s card:

I used this fun patterned paper with the circles so I could use the circles from the stamp set that are the same shape and color family but just a little bit different ~ and it’s okay!

I added a tiny white line of molding paste and then hand cut some bow ties to mimic the patterned paper.

I think this would be a GREAT graduation card for a boy who maybe isn’t following a traditional path and has chosen to pursue something that he loves to do.  I think we all know someone like that.

Tip of the day – to add interest to a plain white scalloped border, I used the two different sized circle stamps from the set to fill in each scallop and then to join the circles together.  Then I stamped the sentiment on top of that.  I love the way it turned out!  Here it is again:

{New Day} using spring colors by: Judy Marino

Hello, friends! I am so excited to be here today at the Precious Remembrance Shop blog as a Guest Designer for this month’s new release! I am in love with the newest release, “New Day” , and I can’t wait to share two cards that I made using this fabulous set!
First up…a clean and simple card using soft, spring colors and Prima flowers paired with the wonderful “smile, sparkle, shine” sentiment. I love that this sentiment can be used for so many different occasions!
My second card is clean and layered, using some soft patterned papers and a dry-embossed background. The sentiment is popped up for dimension, and the button draws attention to it.
I love using soft pastel colors when I want the sentiment to take center stage. (Lots of white space helps, too!)
Thanks for peeking at my cards today. I hope you will visit the Precious Remembrance Shop and check out the newest set along with all the other wonderful stamp sets there! I have fallen in love with them! 🙂
Have a great day!

look at the bright side – {Saturday Creations}

Hello Blog Friends!  Today I want to show you a 4×6 mixed media canvas I made with our new Precious Remembrance Stamp Set called New Day.

When I first saw this set, I thought how “artsy” it was and the possibilities just flooded my brain!  I thought the paintbrush stroke could be used for water or sky so that’s where I started.  I stamped it as a brick pattern (alternating the stamp pattern as I went down the canvas) using permanent ink, starting with the lighter blue for the sky and the darker blue for the water.

I then added clear embossing paste through a stencil to make what looks like water splats on the entire canvas (which is sadly impossible to photograph but looks so cool in real life)!  Look at the dark blue section and maybe you can see the water spots there???  It just adds another layer of texture.

Then I added the sun’s rays with molding paste I made yellow with paint.  I stamped the circle stamp in orange on a piece of tissue paper with words and colored it in with a yellow marker.  After I cut it out, I adhered it as the center of the sun.

I cut out a fishing boat I photographed on a vacation and glued it to the canvas.

To finish my little piece of “art, ” I die cut some clouds and stamped the FAB sentiment from this set directly onto them.  THIS could be MY motto because I tend to always look at the bright side!

Tip of the Day – Don’t limit yourself to just cards with this set!  For example, you could make a sky and grass background, add a flower, and make a totally different mixed media piece.  Just look at the bright side, get messy, and Have Some FUN with this Fabulous stamp set!

Simplicity by: Annette Allen

Welcome Precious Remembrance Shop fans.. Annette Allen here with you today for a fun Guest Design post. I am super excited to be sharing with you today using the very fabulous New Day and Positive Thoughts.

I am all about color when it comes to designing. I believe that it brings smiles. It is a simple card but says a lot don’t you think? I love this sentiment from New Day and Positive Thoughts. Mixing the sentiments is one of my favorite things to do.

When I really want a sentiment to shine I will stamp it in color so it pops from the card but does not take from the other images just gets the point across. In this case I just wanted to send a smile. I also added some fun sequins to complete the blend of colors.

Thank you so much for letting me share today. I hope that I have inspired you to mix these fabulous sets and experiment with color. I believe there are no wrong color combos. The more color… the more smiles.

Happy Crafting!
