Inspire Me Friday – {Let the Music Play}

Happy Friday everyone!!! I have one last project to share using the new Daily Thoughts stamp set, as well as the new Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces.   I have had so much fun creating projects with the Bits & Pieces that I used a couple more for today’s card!

PRS Doily Card

One of my earlier cards had this same little tag combo that I just love and so I decided to use it again.  I paired it up with one of the little doilies that you can find in the PRS store.   The background was created by stamping the little stars image from the Daily Thoughts set in a light gray ink on light gray cardstock.  I trimmed that down, adhered it to my card base and then added the doily and tag.  I finished things off with the black twine bow.    After I finished my card I realized that it has little things from each of the projects that I have made over the last two months!!  I hope you enjoy it!!

Thanks for stopping by… hope you have a wonderful day!!

Design It Monday ~ {Trevor Documented!}

Hi friends, Lisa here today! I’m sharing a fun little project using six Kraft/Flat Bags from the shop. This is for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. They’re retired and enjoying many outdoor adventures with their 2 year old grandson Trevor. This little project is something for them to record some of those adventures, tuck in a photo or two and maybe a pressed leaf or flower that sweet little Trevor discovers! Grab your coffee or beverage of choice, this is a photo heavy post!

I began with a collection of coordinating patterned paper.

Then pulled several stamp sets and items from a couple of the Bits & Pieces collections.

I scored and folded the bags in half then punched holes to tie them together. The patterned paper wraps around to the back of the book bringing a sturdier feeling to the paper bags. Using the Sketchy Alphabet stamp set, I stamped and punched the letters for Trevor’s name. I’ve used stamps from Daily Thoughts, This Moment and Positive Thoughts on the cover.

This pair of inside pages features images from the Journey stamp set and the large camera (color altered with Copics) from Bits & Pieces: Journey.

Star clusters from Daily Thoughts and a couple of items from Bits & Pieces: Daily Thoughts  and Bits & Pieces: Journey jazzed up this page.

Project_20180309_0009 copy

This page is my favorite. I like how well the lime green and aqua in the patterned paper coordinated with the aqua from the Bits & Pieces: Journey items. I stamped a sentiment from the Daily Thoughts stamp set on a die cut banner.

But then again, I like this one too! That glow around the stars on the paper is so nifty! I used the Positive Thoughts stamp set here.

Project_20180309_0014 copy

The left page has a pocket under the patterned paper. It’s decorated with sentiments from Bits & Pieces: Daily Thoughts.  The right page contains a sentiment from the Daily Thoughts stamp set.

I slipped same file tabbed papers into the bag openings with more journaling spots. I used the Sketchy Alphabet and This Moment stamp sets on them.

And there you go. A fun little memory book for grandma and grandpa to fill with their cherished Trevor memories. Thanks so much for sticking with me!

Inspire Me Friday – {Currently… Thinking of You}

Hello and happy Friday everyone!!!  Have you been enjoying all the fabulous projects that the design team have been creating over the last two months???  I know I have!!  Today I have a little black and white number that uses both the Daily Thoughts stamp set and another item from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces pack.  I just love that embellishment pack!!

BlackWhite PRS

I started my project by stamping the cassette tape on white cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and then trimmed it out.  I cut a strip of black cardstock and adhered it to a white cardstock card base.  Since I had decided to use the circle sentiment that says ‘thinking of you’ from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces pack I stamped the word ‘currently’ in VersaMark watermark ink and then heat embossed it in white embossing powder.  Once that was done I trimmed it out and layered up all my elements just as you see them.   Super clean, simple and fun!!

Thanks for stopping by today… I hope you have a wonderful one!!

Inspire Me Friday – {A Gift Bag}

Hello PRS fans!!  I’m here today sharing a fun little gift bag that I put together using some pieces from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces pack, stamps from the Daily Thoughts stamp set and one of the white bags available in the Precious Remembrance Shop store.

I started my project by pulling out some of the pieces that I wanted to use.  The color scheme was based on the color of the stars that appear on the ends of two of the word strips.  I found some patterned paper that was a good match and created a rosette using a die I have in my collection.  To stabilize the rosette I added a circle to the back and then adhered the circular sentiment and the strip sentiments from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces collection.  I cut a strip of patterned paper from the same collection as the rosette and stamped it with one of the little square images from the Daily Thoughts set using inks that were a close match to the colors of the stars.  Then I used the star images from the Daily Thoughts set to randomly stamp all over the white bag using the same colors.   Once I had the bag covered to my liking I adhered the stamp strip.  I found baker’s twine in my stash that matched and tied that around the bag making the bow rather large so it would peek out from around the rosette once I adhered it to the bag.   A quick gift bag that you could fill with small goodies to gift to a good friend or family member!  I hope I inspired you to create a gift bag for a special occasion!

Have a wonderful day!!

Create It Wednesday~Valentine Wrap

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Greta here with a fun wrapped card to tell someone how much you care about them.

Here are the steps and some pictures to show you how to make this card.  Begin by cutting a piece of pink cardstock into a 4×8 inch panel.  The size is determined by the size of the circle die which in this case is 4 inches.  Measure 2 inches from each end and draw light pencil lines.

PRS Val 1

Next use the circle die for partial die cutting on each end.  The pencil line shows you where to position the top cutting plate so only the outer half of the circle will cut.

PRS Val 2

Score the pencil lines & then erase them.  Make a white 3 7/8 inch square white top-folding card to attach to the center of the wrap.  Stamp the front of the card using hearts from Love Coupon and Positive Thoughts stamp sets.

PRS Val 3

Dry emboss the inside of the card and cut a small rectangle from left over pink cardstock, rounding the corners.  White emboss the cassette tape from the Daily Thoughts stamp set onto pink and white printed paper and fussy cut. PRS Val 5

Attach the stamped image to the cardstock rectangle and to the center of the card.  Add a couple of the sentiment strips from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces.

PRS Val 4

To keep the card shut, cut a strip of vellum 3/4 inch by 8 1/2 inches.  Wrap it around the card so it’s loose enough to slide on and off and tape the ends together in the back.  Die cut a black cardstock circle just slightly larger than the circle sentiment from Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces, glue together & attach to the center of the vellum wrap.  You can write your message on the back of the pink cardstock.

PRS Val 6

Hope you’ve enjoyed this tutorial and are inspired to make a wrapped card.  Be sure to check out all the great products in the Precious Remembrance Shop.  You can keep up with us on  Facebook , Pinterest , Instagram , & Youtube.

{Inspire Me Friday} – Let the Music Play

Happy Friday everyone!!  Rosemary here with my first Inspire Me Friday post using the newly released Daily Thoughts stamp set as well as the new Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces.   As I pondered what to make for today’s post I realized that the little square images in the stamp would be fun to use to create a repeat background.  I combined my background with some Bits & Pieces and came up with my card.

prs card

Using my mini MISTI I lined up all the images and stamped the first row using a light gray ink (it matches the light gray cardstock I used for my card base).  I then lined up all the images in reverse order and stamped again.  Repeated this process six more times to get my background.  The piece was then die cut with a rectangle die.   The Bits & Pieces pack contains these cute little tags so I pulled out one and adhered one of the sentiments from the pack on top.  Some black twine was looped through the hole and the tag was adhered.  I finished with a scattering of stars from the Bits & Pieces pack.  I hope in inspired you to look at your stamps in a new way!

Have a great day!!

Design It Monday ~ {It’s in the Bag!}

Hello and welcome to another installment of Design It Monday! I have a fun project using one of the Plain White Flat Paper Bags available in the PRS store. These are a terrific size measuring 6 1/4″ x 9 1/4″.

Project_20180106_0013 copy

After deciding the positioning of the cassette tape from the new Bits & Pieces: Daily Thoughts, I began the stamping. The two dotted rectangles from the Love Coupon Stamp Set are stamped in Brown Memento Ink. Next came the sentiment and little star clusters from the new Daily Thoughts Stamps Set using Ocean Tides ink.

Project_20180106_0015 copy

I stamped a line border (Holiday Wishes Stamp Set) twice along the top of the bag. There are two small holes punched through both layers of the bag to thread the gold twine through. A felt star and chunky button dress up the closure.

Project_20180106_0018 copy

After stamping the sentiment onto the cassette die cut, it was mounted onto fun foam for depth. I also used a Copic marker to change the color of the tape in the cassette to brown. I attached a length of brown ribbon (using glue dots) to look as though the tape was unraveling. My teammate Kelly did this one of her cards. I was so happy to see someone else remembered this frustrating event with cassette tapes! It always took a little pinky finger or pencil to wind the tape back in. Sometimes it was successful, sometimes not! Oh, the good ol’ days!

Project_20180106_0012 copy

Isn’t this sentiment wonderful? The Daily Thoughts Stamp Set is full of so many like this. I can tuck a special card, inspirational reading or listening material into this bag as a gift to lift someone’s spirits. A little chocolate wouldn’t hurt either!!

    Inspire Me Friday – {totally love you}

    Hi friends!!  So excited to be back on the PRS blog sharing a project I made using the super fun Totally stamp set!  I also used the Love Coupon stamp set and some pieces from the Love Coupon Bits  &  Pieces collection.

    totally 2

    I recently purchased a pad of patterned paper from the Prima Zella Teal collection.  I saw another crafter using items from this collection and I just fell in love with it.   As I thought about what I would make for my project I thought about this pad and decided to use some for my card.  I wanted a card that could be given to a man or a woman so I pulled out some paper from the collection that would work for both and die cut it with a stitched rectangle die.  Some additional paper that has a kraft look to it was die cut with another rectangle die.   Pulling colors from the collection I used some VersaMagic inks in Oasis Green to stamp the border and Wheat to stamp the large word totally.   The sentiment love you is from the Love Coupon set and actually says I Love you, but I masked off the I before inking up the sentiment and stamping it in VersaFine Onyx Black.  The little hearts from the Love Coupon Bits & Pieces collection were trimmed out (they were originally circles) and popped them up with foam dimensionals.  Before layering everything up on my card base I wrapped some black twine around the patterned paper piece and then tied it with a simple knot.    I hope I have given you a good idea for a card to make for a man or woman!!
