Elena here, with what I think is an adorable winter card to share with you today. When I saw the sentiment, from the “christmas stamp set,” I immediately started layering on cozy & wintery elements:
– the snowman, in his warm hat and mittens… I bent his arms back to look like he’s clumsily holding onto the sentiment sign. love that.
– the nordic-style-sweater background. sigh…in red and white, no less.
– the kraft elements… nothing says warm to me like kraft… it lends a homespun quality to projects that I absolutely adore. I even opted to color the snowman’s carrot nose with a kraft-colored marker… an orange would have totally ruined my look.
– ric rac… the pinking edged border reminds me of fabric… and, next to the sweater background, can’t help but reinforce the cozy feel.
Thanks for peeking my wintery snowman card!
Have a great weekend, all!
Today I’m popping in to share a nice shabby chic card with you – my cardmaking style is rather bipolar, going from clean and simple (as seen HERE) to shabby and distressed, like now!
The Christmas stamp set is perfect for shabby chic cardmakers, since it’s such an artsy and distressed looking set.
Used a sweet sentiment from the set, than stamped one of the teeny hearts from the “handmade with love” sentiment to really help the banner pop.
As challenging as this may look for you CAS cardmakers, it really wasn’t complicated at all! Here are some key supplies I use with shabby chic cards that may help you;
- Die cuts – a quick and easy focal point! Or, if you’re a good stamper, a stamped focal point!
- Doilies – I can’t resist these! They make shabby chic cardmaking a snap!
- Glitter and/or pearls/gems – pretty little finishing touches
- Ribbon! Silk and seam binding are by far my faves, but grosgrain works well too.
Thanks so much for stopping in! I hope those couple pointers helped you out!
It is just about time to begin building the list of things to have done by the holidays. This year the first task is underway in creating handmade holiday cards. If you are planning on it as well the new stamp set is perfect!
Created a framed embellishment using the ornament stamp, border stamp and hearts from the Love Stamp Set. Also added a tab along the side of the card by stamping the label back to back on a piece of paper, folding it in half along the scalloped edge and trimming around . And all of those sentiments are just amazing! Are you creating your holiday cards this year?
Happy Monday Stampers! Aside from cards, one of the elements that we use for gifts are tags. So.. I made one, to show you how easy it is to use the Christmas Stamp Set for your tags, just in time for holiday!^_^
All sentiments and border are stamped using the Christmas Stamp Set. And check out the Handmade with LOVE sentiment, isn’t it the cutest thing ever?^_^ Love it! You can use it in any occasion. Remember: Handmade are always special. And this is just a perfect touch for your goodies!
And once your done stamping, just hang it on your favorite gift bags or boxes, here I made my own!^_^ Easy! And then I added some fun ribbon, and my own Christmas tag!
I hope enjoyed today’s inspiration.
Have a wonderful day!^_^
We have quite the Christmas-themed day planned. If it doesn’t rain (fingers crossed, because the prognosis doesn’t look good), the kids are getting gussied up for Christmas card pictures with our favorite photographer
, (complete with mugs full of whipped cream and small trees for sale – so cute, right?) and I am off to teach my first Christmas card class of the season.
Christmas gets c-o-l-d over here (I’m near Montreal, Canada)… and lasts for months… and months… but winter is still my favorite. Why on earth? (that’s what you’re thinking, right?) Because it’s full of lit fireplaces, and cozy sweaters, hot chocolates, and Christmas. That’s why. And nothing says cozy and warm like layers and knit patterns.
I stamped some silver (well, grey) bells, and layered them onto my focal point mat with a poinsettia and a floppy red bow. I adhered them onto a die-cut shape already stamped with boughs. Then, the knit pattern. I stamped it in a festive red, and added the sentiment from Precious Remembrance:
I love this sentiment – the mix of fonts and handwritten appeal work so well here. My favorite part is the little heart on the “J”. It doesn’t get any cozier than that.
I hope you like what I’ve created! Have a great weekend!
Hi everyone! I hope your Octobers are going well. It’s still a bit warm where I live, so it doesn’t feel like fall has crept up on us just yet, but I’m definitely getting myself in the mood for the holiday season by crafting!
I’ve been having a ton of fun with the Christmas Stamp Set since it features so many adorable holiday sentiments. For the card above, I created a “snow drift” by cutting out a strip of curved paper and using it as a stencil. I then got a white ink pad and gently rubbed it against the stencil. I added some glitter for a little extra sparkle. I used Papertrey Ink’s Winter Penguin Stamp Set and coordinating dies to create the adorable penguin. As a finishing touch, I added some red and white gingham ribbon to the top.
As for the sentiment, it was a little difficult to choose which of the sentiments I wanted to go with. You really can’t go wrong with any of them! I embossed the “December 25th” sentiment in white Zing embossing powder. I hope you like the finished product!
Today I’m here to share a quick card made using the new Christmas stamp set and some random things I had scattered about my desk…
Cute, right? I used the tiny little hearts from the ‘handmade with love’ sentiment to add a little detail and glitter to the banners here…
A little coloring in the heart for the love sentiment down here really ties things off…
Thanks so much for stopping in with me today! I hope you’ve enjoyed my quick, scrappy card! 🙂
Have you enjoyed the new release as much as I have? It is stirring up the excitement that this season brings each and every year. From the holiday cards to handmade gifts, the new Christmas Stamp Set has it all!
Created a hanging ornament from the ornament stamp onto cardstock, covered in glittered and created a wire hook using a simple piece of wire lying around in the craft box. This card not only features stamps from the Christmas set, but also Positive Thoughts. Love how each one coordinates so well with each other, the handwritten sentiments and lovely border stamps. So is it time to start your cards and projects?
Hello stampers! I hope all of you had a great weekend!^_^ I’m so excited to share with you another project using the new released Christmas Stamp Set. You will be seeing more from this set, so stay tune!
Let me tell yah!^_^ You don’t really need so much materials to make this card. This set can make your card look complete. Here’s how I made it.
- Standard size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2), and kraft paper.
- Grab one of the borders from the stamp set, use a Versamark as an ink and stamp it directly onto the paper. Can you see how it’s an instant background? Love it!^_^
- Grab and stamp the rest of the elements from the stamp set, like Christmas balls and sentiments. Have fun playing and use different kinds of inks.
- Use the zigzag border from the stamp set as a string for the Christmas ball.
- Use a metallic pen to color the stars , make it colorful if you like.
How easy is that? ^_^ There’s more to come!
I hope you love it!
Have a beautiful day!
