Tuesday Ideas {never give up}

Hello and welcome! It’s Kelly here and I’ve got an inspirational card to share with you today. I combined a few sets to create a card for someone who may be going through a hard time. To begin, I embossed the feather image from the DIY Stamp set using gold powder onto vellum. I also embossed a few of the outline star images from the new Daily Thoughts around the feather for some added interest and detail. The smaller  sentiment, which is also from Daily Thoughts, is stamped onto the vellum using Jet Black StazOn ink. I like using this particular ink because it is a solvent ink and it won’t smear on the vellum.

The arrow or chevron image is gold embossed as well onto a strip of coral colored cardstock. I trimmed it down to fit nicely over the vellum piece. I did some loose, messy watercoloring onto a panel of cold pressed watercolor paper and then ran it through my crimping tool for some added texture. I did some creative gluing on the back of the vellum, applying glue on top of the gold stars, the feather, under the coral strip and under the “w” on the word “when”. Once I had the glue in place, I adhered it to the corrugated panel. I applied pressure here and there so that it all stayed in place.

The “never give up” sentiment is stamped in white pigment ink onto  a strip of black cardstock. I added this to the vellum piece using foam squares. This entire focal panel is adhered to a piece of Kraft cardstock that has another embossed detail. I wasn’t planning on using a third set for this card, but I just LOVE the small detail that these horizontal lines give the side of the card. This particular stamp is from the Coffee Love set. I added a few clear sequins, which also have glue under them to hold the vellum to the corrugated piece. The finishing touch is a bow of black and white Baker’s twine, which gives it another pop of black! I actually added the “never give up” sentiment over the top of the tail of the twine to hold it in place.  I love how soft and pretty this card turned out…just perfect to give someone for a bit of encouragement!

Design It Monday ~ {Lack of Color!}

Hello and welcome! I have a card lacking in color for you today. Wait, what? No, I haven’t lost my mind, I’m just sharing a black and white card!

18 0107 006 copy

I started with a black panel then heat embossed the sentiment using Versa Mark ink and white embossing powder. All of the words come from the Daily Thoughts stamp set. Combing the words from the set to create a customized sentiment is super easy with the Misti. Don’t you love the mix of fonts!

18 0107 007 copy

I added the Xs border (Thanks stamp set) and a strip of die cut hearts to balance out the design. I popped this onto my card that had been covered with a panel of black and white patterned paper.  It still seemed to be needing just a little something else. The tiny winking face from the Coffee Love stamp set filled that void perfectly!

Just because a black and white card lacks color, doesn’t mean it has to lack personality! Thanks so much for popping into the PRS blog. We always love hearing from you.

Scrapbooking Layout + Video Tutorial: Too Cool by: Missy Whidden!

Hello again, friends!  Missy here, and I have a fun abstract layout to share today.  Do you have any stamps that you don’t think you’ll ever have a use for?  For me, it’s the coffee cup stamp from the Coffee Love Stamp Set.  I don’t drink coffee, so I probably would never use it on a project.  I decided to challenge myself to use it anyway!  I went artsy and abstract with it, and I love how it turned out.  I used watercolor paints again instead of ink pads.  I began by randomly stamping the coffee cup stamp over and over using different colors.  I overlapped them and just made a colorful background.  I used another sheet and stamped the coffee cup using black archival ink.  I used the watercolors and ink sprays to add lots of shading and colors.  Once everything was dry, I used several punches and punched lots of circles.  You would never know what these stamps were in the beginning, so it really doesn’t matter what stamps you use for something like this!

Here you can see how awesome these random circles turned out.  Look at the difference in stamping with an ink pad versus watercolor.  It’s fun to get that wet and artsy look with the paint!  You really can’t mess this up, either.  It’s very easy to do.  I added more watercolors and ink sprays to the background and also machine stitched with black thread through some of the circles.

By punching out the circles, I had instant embellishments.  And each one is unique since I used several stamps.  In addition to the Coffee Love Stamp Set, I also used a few stamps from the Blossom Stamp Set.  I added some gold Color Shine, too, which is really fun.  I used some older American Crafts alpha stickers for my title and added in some sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps.

Here on the right side, I created a little circle cluster.  That “LOVE” piece is a die cut from the Love Coupon Bits & Pieces pack.  They’re perfect for using as embellishments or titles.  I added in some pink tangled thread and a few small Shimelle stickers.

I used a few more die cuts here from the Journey Bits & Pieces pack.  These are great for adding the date and adding fun sentiments to your project.  I love the typewriter font!

This was a lot of fun to create.  Those circles were really easy to make with all the stamps.  I hope this inspires you to get abstract and random with your stamps and create something unique and colorful!  Be sure to check out my process video to see how I created this page.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Let It Snow! by: Amy Tsuruta

Hello, I’m back featuring my final project as a Guest Designer for the Precious Remembrance Shop!

Today I’m playing with: Oh Christmas, Fall Colors, Coffee Love.

Here’s a quick gift wrapping idea.  I’m a big fan of treat bags and the plain kraft ones are the best for stamping!  Team it up with a card and instant giftie!

I love to give + receive gift cards.  I’ll be the first one to say that I generally tuck them inside a card.  If you slip it inside stamped packaging, it takes it up a notch.  This bag didn’t take long at all to embellish.  The stamps are from the Oh Christmas stamp set.  The speckles are from the Fall Colors set and have been heat embossed in white.

My card combines the Oh Christmas + Coffee Love stamp. A pop of green puts it right into the festive spirit of things.

Thanks so much for stoppin’ by today!!!!  A big shout out to Precious Remembrance for having me as a guest designer these last couple of month!  Make sure you check out the Precious Remembrance Shop blog!

Inspire Me Friday ~ Gift Card Pillow Box

Hello, everyone!  It’s Judy here with my first project using the new release stamp set, “Happy Mail.”

I love all the little elements in this set!  I must admit, I fell in love with the sweet envelope as soon as I saw it…and that tiny little heart on it? Too cute!

For my project today, I used a pillow box die and cream card stock, then stamped the images using coral and tan inks.  I decorated both sides of the pillow box using the “Happy Mail” set along with a sentiment and little smiley face from the “Coffee Love” set.

Here is one side of the pillow box:

Here is the other side of the pillow box:

These PRS stamps make it so easy to decorate pillow boxes, and if you give a lot of gift cards (or cash, candy, or small gifts), this is an easy way to jazz up your packaging!

I hope you enjoyed my project today.  My next “Inspire Me Friday” post will focus on Halloween inspiration with this set!

Our Cue Word is – Balloon.

Here’s the card that I came up with.:) I always enjoy images that can be use in different ways. They say, always think outside the box. Well, since I don’t have “balloon” stamp, I made my own using circles!Yay! These circle images are from our Positive Thoughts stamp set – which is use mostly as a background, and the A+ circle is from our School Days stamp set & I used 1″ circle punch so I can layer it over the other circles!

To make the “string” of the balloon, I stamped it using the borders from the School Days stamp set, as well as the “you are awesome” sentiment. And the images inside the circles are stamped using the Coffee Love stamp set & Positive Thoughts stamp set.

To add more interest, I stamped the arrow border on the side of the card using the Journey Stamp Set.

I added another sentiment below the card to complete and make this card perfect for a celebration! I used the letters from our Sketchy Alphabet stamp set.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I tried my best to make it clean & simple. But you know, it’s kinda’ hard to stop when you’re having so much fun stamping.:) lol

I hope you enjoyed my project!:)

Inspire Me Friday ~ To Do Lists

Hello, everyone!  It’s Judy here, sharing two bullet journal pages I made using the new Sketchy Alphabet set along with some other favorite stamp sets from Precious Remembrance Shop!

As soon as the school year comes to an end, I usually begin writing my summer “to do” lists.  I often write a new list each week, so this year I decided to make them a little more fun.  I bought a blank journal at the local craft store and thought it would be fun to combine my love of stamping with my love of list-writing!

Here is the first page I did, using the Sketchy Alphabet set to make my heading along with the Date stamp set.  I added some fun flowers from the Blossom set around the page border and the cute smiley face from the Coffee Love set.

For my next page, I decided to highlight my love of coffee using the Sketchy Alphabet set along with the Coffee Love set, one of my all-time favorites!  I colored all of my stamped images with colored pencils.

I have no doubt that I will be using my PRS stamps on future “to do” lists in my journal…and the Sketchy Alphabet set is perfect for personalizing my pages.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Design It Monday ~ Simple Shamrocks!

Good day friends! I’m back with another installment of Design It Monday. Today I’m sharing some simple shamrocks with you on a St. Patrick’s Day card.

thumbnail_17 0226 003 copy

I’ve used the little heart from the Coffee Love Stamp Set to create my shamrocks. I stamped the heart three times then fussy cut them. There are several sets in the PRS shop with heart images. Imagine the variety of shamrocks you could make!

17 0226 002 copy

The month, day and date from the Date Stamp Set were stamped repeatedly on white cardstock then die cut. The small jar from the Oh So Fun Stamp Set was stamped onto white cardstock and vellum then fussy cut. I added some of my shamrocks “inside” the jar then layered the vellum panel on top of them. Some gold twine and sprinkling of metallic gold sequins added just the right amount of sparkle to the green and white color combo.

Saturday Creations ~ {Precious Remembrance Date Stamp Dinner Invitation}

Today I am sharing an invitation I made for a dinner party that has already happened!  As soon as I received this FABULOUS PR Date Stamp Set, I HAD to use it!  I couldn’t wait for the product release!  Let me tell you, my friends thought the invitations were so CUTE!  I hope you do, too!

000_4878I stamped the date block in black and the details in Aqua for a contrasting color that would match the background paper.  The random stripes were made using a line stamp from the Precious Remembrance Stamp Set Coffee Love.  I’m also really happy the sentiment “save the date” is in this set because it opens up all kinds of possibilities to use this Date Stamp Set!

Here’s a close up of the silverware I stenciled with graphite paste.  It’s really coarse and textural and makes a cool dinner invitation:

000_4879This Date Stamp Set is a MUST HAVE!

I hope you like my creation!
