Create It Wednesday~Year in Review

Happy day after Christmas and welcome to my last PRS post.  I want to thank Dyane for the privilege of being part of the 2018 DT.  Here are 5 of my favorite projects from this year.

PRS DT Alpha One

Fun pastel rainbow sentiment using Sketchy Alphabet.

PRS DT School

Love the pink/orange color combo done with inks and shimmer sprays to showcase School Days.

PRS New Release Blog Hop no wm

Dry and heat embossed hearts, watercolor resist and sheer gold ribbon to celebrate an anniversary using Everyday Stamp Set.

PRS DT Oct last no wm

I’m a fan of cute Halloween cards and the Beware Stamp Set makes them easy to create.

PRS DT Dec Bag no wm

The Plain White Flat bags are really fun to decorate.  Here I used Everyday and Love Coupon stamp sets with one of my favorite color combos: silver, white, black and red.

And here’s one last card from me using Coffee Love and Everyday stamp sets.

PRS DT Final card

The little hearts were white embossed on the travel cup which I stamped in Versafine Clair Onyx ink and fussy cut.  I used gray and red Zig watercolor pens for some ombre coloring.  The sentiment was stamped on a light gray panel splattered with red.   I mounted the cup with foam tape and stamped the little lines on the card front before adding the panel.  Fun to use white sequins for steam.  Wishing everyone a peaceful, crafty 2019.

Create It Wednesday~Time for Tags

You’ve probably noticed there is a lot of tag making in blogland right now.  I joined in the craze using 3 Precious Remembrance Stamp sets:  Everyday, Happy Mail and Oh Christmas.
PRS DT Tag Much Better sharperThe sketchy circle from Everyday was white embossed on the large die cut tag to make snowballs.  Team member Lisa came up with that idea and I love it!   Distress Oxide Faded Jeans was used for the emboss resist technique and tiny white dots were added with a pen.   I stamped a branch from Oh Christmas at the top and bottom of a smaller tag using Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio.  The words from Happy Mail were stamped with Faded Jeans and I attached the small tag to the large one using foam tape.  Luckily, this piece of ribbon was just the right color and the dots tied in perfectly.  I thought a bit of sparkle was needed, so finished off with a glittery white dot.  Now I just have to buy the perfect gift!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the US and I’ll see you next time.

Create it Wednesday~Thank You for the Gift

Hello and thank you for stopping by.  I have a fun little card using images from two PRS stamp sets:  Thanks and Oh Christmas.

PRS DT Aug Gift no wm
To begin, I stamped the image from Thanks in black, cut it out and matted it with black cardstock.  For my “gift” I stamped the stars from Oh Christmas in Versamark and white embossed them.  Then I blended Distress Oxide candied apple on the outside edges and abandoned coral toward the middle.  I wrapped ribbon around the square, matted it with black cardstock and mounted it to a 3 1/2 inch square card.  I added a die cut bow wrapped with the same ribbon and mounted the focal image with foam tape.  The sky’s the limit for colors and background images.  Just leave off the bow for quick, easy to mail cards.

Hope I’ve given you some inspiration today.  Be sure to check out all the great stamps and other products in the PRS Store.  See you next time.

Create it Wednesday~A Little Something

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my project using PRS Little Things and Coffee Love stamp sets.  I began by stamping the fun circles from Little Things multiple times using VersaMagic Persimmon and Pink Grapefruit.  Glad I still have all my punches as it was a quick way to cut them all out.  I folded the top of the Plain White Flat Paper Bag and attached the circles across the bottom.

PRS DT July Pkg

Next I made a matching tag big enough to decorate the rest of the bag.  The smaller tag was dry embossed with a polka dot folder and I swiped the edges of the larger one with the Persimmon ink pad.  Then I attached the tags together and added the circles across the bottom.

The sentiment from Coffee Love was stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate on a white scrap.  I used a piece of Washi as a mask so I could add the Pink Grapefruit ink to the top and bottom edges before adding it to the tag with foam tape.  Finished off with a white grosgrain bow and now my summery gift bag is ready to give a friend.  Hope I’ve inspired you to check out all the great products in the PRS shop.  See you next time.

Create It Wednesday~Gift For You

So glad you’ve joined me for another Create It Wednesday post.  There are lots of gift giving occasions coming up including Mother’s Day & graduation.  But it’s also fun to surprise someone with a little something unexpected.  I’ve dressed up a Plain White Flat Paper Bag from the PRS Store.  PRS DT April 1 (1)To begin, I created a tag using the partial die cutting technique with a circle die to fit a Mini White Doilie.  After attaching the doily, I stamped the rest of my tag with the splatters from the Positive Thoughts stamp set using a light green marker.  A scrap of light green cardstock was die cut with a Pretty Pink Posh border die to cover where I cut the doily in half.  Yellow and green Hand Dyed Buttons were easily added with liquid glue.  These beautiful buttons are available in several colors in the PRS Store.  I stamped the letters I needed from the Sketchy Alphabet stamp set in black ink on the green cardstock and punched them out with a little circle punch.  The letters were colored with the green marker and then covered with glitter glue for a fun sparkle. PRS DT April 1 Close Up I had enough of the cardstock left to cut 3 thin strips for the bottom of the tag.  Yellow and white twine was tied in a bow & attached with liquid glue to finish it off.  Before adhering the tag, I stamped a few solid and open hearts from the Love Coupon and the Happy Art stamp sets in yellow ink.  Hope I’ve given you some inspiration for your next packaging project.  Have a great day!

Create It Wednesday~Spring Cheer

So glad you’re joining me for another Create It Wednesday.  Spring is definitely here in my neck of the woods, so I pulled out a pretty floral embossing folder, pastel Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and the wonderful PRS Sketchy Alphabet stamp set.

PRS DT Alpha One

I positioned the letters in my stamp positioner, but you could easily use an acrylic block.  I held the lid high enough to make a little dab where I wanted each color.  Then I used a waterbrush to pick up each color from an acrylic block & make the stripes.  The letters were stamped in silver, as I love how it looks with pastels.  I cut the piece into a rectangle and mounted it at an angle with foam tape to the debossed side of the white panel.  Little stickers come in handy for small sentiments like the word cheer I used here.  I decided a bit of sparkle was needed, so used glitter glue in the center of each flower.

PRS DT Alpha Close Up

Luckily, this time I didn’t do my usual messing it up before it dried–haha!  The card front was covered with a piece of soft, gray cardstock and it’s ready to mail.  I hope you’ve been inspired to make & send something cheerful for one of your friends.  Be sure to check out all the wonderful products in the PRS Shop and I’ll see you next time.

Create it Wednesday~Daily Thoughts Gift Bag

Welcome to another edition of Create it Wednesday.  My project today is a gift bag to brighten someone’s day.  The PRS store has both white & kraft bags available.  I started by making a double tag.  Several of the encouraging sentiments in the Daily Thoughts stamp set were lined up on an acrylic block & stamped repeatedly in brown ink on a white die cut rectangle.  At the bottom I overstamped two leaves from the DIY stamp set in Brilliance Pearlescent Olive ink & added a little wooden star.

PRS Daily Thoughts Bag close up

The tag was attached at an angle to a vellum die cut rectangle.  I used a brown twine bow & a little white clothespin to add the tag at the top of the bag.

PRS Daily Thoughts Bag

Little star clusters from Daily Thoughts were stamped randomly in kraft ink around the tag.  Now it’s ready to fill with treats, a paperback book or better yet–a stamp set from the PRS Store!  Hope I’ve given you some ideas for personalizing a gift bag with stamping.

Create It Wednesday~Let the Music Play

Welcome to another Create It Wednesday.

Today I have a black and white card for you made with the new Daily Thoughts stamp set.  Yes, we still have an old boom box & cassette tapes that hubby uses in the garage!

PRS Daily Thoughts B&W

I started by stamping the cassette tape image randomly across a black panel in Delicata White Shimmer ink.  The trio of stars was stamped in a visual triangle to add interest.  There are so many encouraging sentiments in this stamp set.  I chose one that reminds us it’s good to pause in our busy lives and enjoy the moment.  I love how it goes perfectly with the cassette image.  Tiny black splatters give the sentiment strip a bit less contrast with the black.

  PRS Daily Thoughts B&W sentiment

See the 2 little stars to the right of the big one?  There’s enough space to ink just those 2 and that’s what I did for the left side of the card.

PRS Daily Thoughts B&W side

It ties everything together and makes the black panel pop.  Be sure to check out all the great stamps and other products in the Precious Remembrance Shop store.

Happy Stamping!

Create It Wednesday~A Graphic Hello

Greta here and I’m excited to share my first Create It Wednesday project with you.  I chose a wintry color combo of teal and gray for a one layer note card.

The Totally stamp set has some fun graphic images & I used two of them.  Each image was stamped at an angle across the top of the card front.  It was really easy to line up the images and could be done in a variety of color combos.

I added a bit of sparkle to the triangles with a glitter gel pen.  Love how the sketchy word from the This Moment stamp set goes with the graphic images.  Think this works for a guy or a gal, so that’s always a plus.

Hope I’ve given you some inspiration to get stamping!

Create It Wednesday ~ Wrapping Paper Ideas

Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re preparing to use your crafty ideas to jump into the holiday season. I adore customizing my Christmas present wrappings. It shouldn’t just about what’s on the inside of the paper, let’s see what we can do to the paper 🙂 I’m using the {Happy Mail} and {Oh Christmas} stamp sets for today’s collabo.OhChrHappyMail gift

I’m sure you never have leftover wrapping paper after the holidays right….ha! For this project, I use the bright white, ready to be decorated, reverse side of my leftovers! Because the surface is usually slick and shiny, I use solvent/archival quality inks like Staz-On or Archival Ink.

OhChrHappyMail giftwrap

Wrap the gift, but don’t tape anything down yet. This is super important! Just crease all of the edges so that you can see the area you want to stamp. Most presents aren’t sturdy enough to allow for a crisp image to be stamped directly onto a wrapped gift, so you’ll need to lay it on a flat desk or table to do your stamping. I used the pine sprigs and date from the {Oh Christmas} Stamp set and the tag, “open me”, and “special delivery” from the newest stamp set {Happy Mail}. And because I looooove embossing powder, the tag is done with both gold and green to match!

OhChrHappyMail gifttag

I hope you look at your leftover wrapping paper in a whole new light! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you “create it” in your own crafty way!
