Inspire Me Friday ~ To Do Lists

Hello, everyone!  It’s Judy here, sharing two bullet journal pages I made using the new Sketchy Alphabet set along with some other favorite stamp sets from Precious Remembrance Shop!

As soon as the school year comes to an end, I usually begin writing my summer “to do” lists.  I often write a new list each week, so this year I decided to make them a little more fun.  I bought a blank journal at the local craft store and thought it would be fun to combine my love of stamping with my love of list-writing!

Here is the first page I did, using the Sketchy Alphabet set to make my heading along with the Date stamp set.  I added some fun flowers from the Blossom set around the page border and the cute smiley face from the Coffee Love set.

For my next page, I decided to highlight my love of coffee using the Sketchy Alphabet set along with the Coffee Love set, one of my all-time favorites!  I colored all of my stamped images with colored pencils.

I have no doubt that I will be using my PRS stamps on future “to do” lists in my journal…and the Sketchy Alphabet set is perfect for personalizing my pages.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Create It Wednesday ~ {HB2U Shaker Card}

I have had no shortage of exciting ideas for using the new {Sketchy Alphabet} Stamp set and today’s Create It Wednesday is my last chance to give you a little inspiration. If you love to text or can appreciate the millennial generation’s way of sending greetings, then you know a good HB2U (happy birthday to you…just in case you need a hip lingo refresher lol) makes a fab sentiment!

hb2u

How fun is a shaker card?! I die cut the balloons from the card front to fit my sentiment and used all kinds of fun confetti to sandwich between my acetate window and the base of the card front. I always use two layers of foam tap stacked on top of each other to leave enough room for my goodies to actually shake around. I stamped HB2U using the {Sketchy Alphabet} stamp set on some vellum. Hint- Staz-On ink is great for this and Copics work well on vellum to color in images, like I did here.

A cute blue bow and it’s all ready to share! I hope you’ve enjoyed my creations using this new stamp set. If you’ve missed any of them, you can see them at the links below. Stay tuned for the talented Judy Marino’s wrap up on Friday! Thanks and go create 🙂

Inspire Me Friday ~ Congrats, Grad!

Hello, everyone! It’s Judy here with my next {Inspire Me Friday} project using the new “Sketchy Alphabet” stamp set.

It is graduation season, and I am in need of several high school graduation cards this month.  With three teenagers of my own in high school, I find that they are invited to a lot of graduation parties as their older friends graduate.  Their high school color is green, so I used my “Sketchy Alphabet” set and added some green to the sentiment using colored pencils.

The lovely green sequins are from our very own Lisa Elton’s “Sweet Pea” mix, and the graduation cap is a sticker.  I love the texture it adds to my card!

I hope you are enjoying all of the Design Team projects using the “Sketchy Alphabet” set.  Be sure to share your own projects with us by tagging them #preciousremembrancestamps  or  #preciousremembranceshop…we’d love to see them!

Create It Wednesday ~ {Sketchy Love Spinner Card}

Today’s Create It Wednesday project is one that I’ve been dying to make…a spinner card! The letters from the {Sketchy Alphabet} Stamp Set were perfect for making my sentiment the star attraction of the card.

sketchy alpha spinner

This was easier than I expected it to be. I stamped “I [heart] U” twice and die cut them so that I would have a front and back to my spinner. The hearts all come from the {Positive Thoughts} stamp set; for the trio of hearts, I did some masking and coloring so they would be solid black. I sandwiched my string between the two pieces and glued it into place with a strong adhesive.

I created the frame and and card front using the same nesting dies and assembled the card by layering my pieces onto the card in this order: plenty of adhesive, string and spinner stretched across the window, tan & white striped cardstock, then red and pink border. It’s really important to get the order right…ask me how I know 🙂

If you want to see a quick clip of this card in action, click the link below for the YouTube video (it’s not a tutorial).

Hopefully, you’ll give the spinner card a try and find awesome sentiments using the {Sketchy Alphabet} stamp set letters to catch somebody special’s attention! Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome hump day!

Design It Monday ~ {Sweet P!}

Hi friends and welcome to another installment of Design it Monday! I have a personalized card for my little granddaughter featuring the Sketchy Alphabet set along with the Sweet Pea stamp set.

17 0611 001 copy

I began with some patterned paper, a paper doily and a die cute doily. These were added to a marshmallow card base topped with a champagne card stock panel. Next came the pretty little pea pod that was colored with Copics then highlighted with Wink of Stella. There are a few dew drops on the pea pod and surrounding area made from Glossy Accents. I stamped my letters and number then punched them out with a 3/4″ circle punch. They’re added to the card with foam squares. I did some selective inking on the Sweet Pea sentiment.

I added Wink of Stella on the number and letters too. After all, little girls do love sparkle! Who am I kidding, big girls love sparkle too!

I hope your week has gotten off to a good start. Thanks for visiting PRS today. Your comments always bring a smile to my face!

Inspire Me Friday ~ #bestdadever

Hello, everyone!  It’s Judy here with a fun Father’s Day card using the new Sketchy Alphabet stamp set!

I don’t know about you, but it seems to me we frequently use phrases that follow a hashtag, especially in social media.  When I saw the hashtag in the Sketchy Alphabet set, I knew I would use it for a card like this.  With Father’s Day right around the corner, this presented the perfect opportunity!

6-2-17 PRS Sketchy Alphabet Project 2 IMG_5502

I simply stamped the sentiment using black ink across a white panel, then mounted on a black border using an old border punch.  I paired a strip of patterned paper onto a coordinating aqua blue card base and put it all together.  I kept the sentiment black and white, but you could easily color in the letters for a splash of color.

Can you think of other “hashtag” phrases you could use on a card?  I think it is a great way to personalize your handmade cards.

I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Design It Monday ~ {Happy Birthday!}

Hello and Happy Memorial Day! I don’t have a memorial card to share, but how about a birthday card! I’ve mixed images from several stamp sets with the numbers from the Sketchy Alphabet set.

17 0526 001 copy

I created a mask then stamped the numbers inside the small jar from the Oh So Fun stamp set. The number 3 & 6 were placed close together and colored in to highlight the birthday being celebrated. My jar was fussy cut then placed over stamped images on a white panel. I used the grid-like tape from the retired Border Tape #1 set along with the circles from the Positive Thoughts set. I decided I wanted to add more of the aqua color inside the jar. The teeny heart from my Sweet Pea stamp set worked perfectly!

The sentiment and it’s frame (Oh So Fun stamp set) were added to a tag die cut then popped onto the card with foam tape. A couple of tiny rhinestones help to pull the gray colors together.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this card brought a smile to your face today!

Inspire Me Friday ~ Hello, Friend

Hello, everyone, and welcome to my first {Inspire Me Friday} post featuring the new release stamp set, Sketchy Alphabet!

I was inspired to play with various colors based on the patterned paper I used on my card base.  The nice thing about this alphabet set is the ability to color the letters any color you want!  I used colored pencils to match the various stripes on my card base.

5-19-17 PRS Sketchy Alphabet Project 1 IMG_4936

Using my Mini Misti, I lined up the letters to spell “friend,” and then added the “hello” on top from the Positive Thoughts set.  I added color to the letters using colored pencils. The layered flower mimics the colors in the paper and in my letters.

I hope you are enjoying the Sketchy Alphabet set and how versatile it is for cards and other projects!  If you have projects to share using Precious Remembrance Shop stamps on Instagaram or Facebook, be sure to add #preciousremembrancestamps so we can check them out!

Design It Monday ~ {Thank You!}

Hello, Lisa here today with a project featuring our new Sketchy Alphabet stamp set. I’ve paired it up with some of our previously released sets to create a school themed thank you card. Something suitable for a teacher or even the bus driver!

I left all of the letters intact on the acetate sheet they came on. Using Washi Tape to hold it in place, I inked up just the letters and stamped them on an aqua panel with my Misti. Next came the star splatters from the Journey stamp set. My sentiment is from the Thanks set.

To make the thank you even more special, I whipped up a little goodie bag with some sweet treats! A few letters from the Sketchy Alphabet set along with the school bus from the School Days set were added to die cut pieces. I dressed them up with patterned paper, a die cut doily and ribbon. The windshield on the bus is coated with glossy accents and the headlights are rhinestones! Just some added fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! We have tons of inspiration headed your way using the new Sketchy Alphabet set. Stay tuned…

Design It Monday!

Hi there! Lisa here today with my final Design It Monday post featuring the Date Stamp Set. With the first day of spring right around the corner, I thought a light and airy card was in order!

17 0310 002 copy

I had a scrap of water colored paper left over from another project. It was the perfect size for this die cut butterfly. I added the month of April to it’s wing using Versa Mark ink, then heat embossed it with fine detail gold embossing powder.

17 0310 001 copy

My white card base was stamped repeatedly with flowers from the Blossom Stamp Set. This provided me the light and airy background I was looking for! The year was stamped and heat embossed next. My butterfly was added with foam tape to lift it from the flowers just a bit. A sprinkling of heart confetti sends a little love to the recipient.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
