Design It Monday!

Hi there! Lisa here today with my final Design It Monday post featuring the Date Stamp Set. With the first day of spring right around the corner, I thought a light and airy card was in order!

I had a scrap of water colored paper left over from another project. It was the perfect size for this die cut butterfly. I added the month of April to it’s wing using Versa Mark ink, then heat embossed it with fine detail gold embossing powder.

My white card base was stamped repeatedly with flowers from the Blossom Stamp Set. This provided me the light and airy background I was looking for! The year was stamped and heat embossed next. My butterfly was added with foam tape to lift it from the flowers just a bit. A sprinkling of heart confetti sends a little love to the recipient.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

{Inspire Me Friday} Daily Goodness

Hello, everyone!  It’s Judy here with my next installment of {Inspire Me Friday} featuring the new “Date” stamp set!  Are you enjoying all of the wonderful inspiration by our Design Team and awesome Guest Designers this month?  I hope so!

For my project this time around, I decided to make a quick and easy one-layer card and I paired up several PRS stamp sets.  I couldn’t help but think that the days of the week in the “Date” stamp set would go perfectly with the sentiment from the “New Day” set.  Of course, the pretty flowers from the “Blossom” set” go well with any stamps!

The fun dots and brushstroke are also from the “New Day” set, stamped in Scattered Straw distress ink.  The days of the week were stamped in a Soft Granite ink so that the main sentiment in black ink would really stand out.  The flowers were watercolored using distress inks for a soft look.

For a final touch I added three sequins and ran my blue ink pad along the edges of the card to frame it.

Create It Wednesday ~ {Date Stamp Set}

It’s the first Create It Wednesday post for 2017 and I’m sharing a “Save the Date” card using the fab new {Date Stamp Set}. This set is perfect for everything calendar, planner, and journal related!

April 15

I wanted the date to stand out with lots of color against the black cardstock, so I stamped and popped it up on a tag. In this new set, the days of the weeks, months, and numbers are all individual stamps so you can really customize your project. It also plays nicely in the sandbox with other PRS stamp sets; here I also used the {Blossom Stamp Set}and the {Happy Art Stamp Set}. I think it’s pretty clear that something wonderful is happening April 15th  (it’s my mom’s birthday!)

I used gouache to paint the blossoms because of the opacity it provides, especially when painting onto dark cardstock. A ribbon and some rhinestones and we’re ready to party!

Design It Monday ~ Tiny Treats!

Hello Precious Remembrance Shop friends! Lisa here today with my first Design it Monday using the newly released Date Stamp Set. I’ve paired this versatile set up with a couple of others from the shop to create some fun tiny treats!

17 0205 004 copy

To begin my project, I created tags using the month and number images.  I stamped the heart rectangle from the This Moment Stamp Set then added the month from the Date Stamp Set. My day of the month was stamped on polka dot paper then punched with a 1/2″ circle punch. This was added to the tag with a foam pop dot. The teeny hearts from the Sweet Pea Stamp Set were added next.

The tags were adhered to a die cut heart. After adding the gray polka dot ribbon, I glued on the teddy bear from the retired Little One Stamp Set. I stamped just the head of the bear, colored with Copics then fussy cut.

These were popped onto tiny glassine bags measuring 4″ X 2 3/4″. When shopping for Valentine tiny treats to put in the bags, I was delighted to find Tiny Conversation Hearts!

Stay tuned for more projects from the team featuring our new set! LisaDT-659x1024

{Inspire Me Friday} A Christmas “Thank You So Much”

Hello, everyone!  Its Judy here with a Christmas thank you card that is quick and easy to make!  I paired up two sets for my card: Oh Christmas and Thanks.

oh-christmas-500x500thanks-stamp-set3-500x500

I started out by embossing the sentiment in white on black card stock and die cut it into a label using a Spellbinders die.  Next, I drew a circle on a white card stock panel and stamped the pine boughs from the Oh Christmas set to make a wreath using two different green distress inks (Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters).  Finally, I used gold thread to mount the label to the white panel and framed it in black before adhering onto the green card base.  The final touch of gold and red Stickles on the wreath added some needed sparkle!

Even though there are several layers, this card is still very flat — that is always important to me, especially for mailing purposes!

I hope you have enjoyed our Design Team’s week of Christmas thank you cards.  It always amazes me how well the different Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets work together, no matter the season!  I’m sure I will need a bunch of thank you notes after Christmas, and I know what stamp sets I can combine to make them!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Design It Monday ~ {Thank you!}

Hello stampers! The fun continues here this week as the design team shares Christmas thank you projects.

16-1210-002-copy

This card began with a sentiment image from the Holiday Wishes Stamp Set. I trimmed out the rectangle box then added a tag stamped with a thank you sentiment from the Thanks Stamp Set. I heat embossed the sentiment in Liquid Platinum to coordinate with the glittered stars on the background paper. Two fussy cut pine trees from the Sketchy Christmas Stamp Set were adhered to the back of the rectangle. A large vellum snowflake was added to the card along with the stamped images.

This card was easy to make and could be quickly mass produced. The time to fussy cut the trees was minimal. Stamp, stamp, snip snip, glue glue ~ viola!!

{Inspire Me Friday} Merry Christmas Coffee and the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Hello, friends!  It’s Judy here with a special installment of {Inspire Me Friday} featuring two of my favorite sets: Coffee Love and Sketchy Christmas.  I hope you have been inspired by all of the Design Team cards and featured stamp sets this week…I know I have!

As luck would have it, today is also Day One of the week-long Winter Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop, and Precious Remembrance Shop is one of the sponsors!

2016-winter-clbhWe are giving away a great prize as part of the hop…the “Totally” stamp set!

In honor of the 2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop starting today, I made a card featuring my favorite coffee cup stamp and some fun patterned papers.

12-9-16-prs-coffee-christmas-img_1772

I started out by stamping the coffee cup onto kraft card stock as well as a gingham patterned paper and plain white card stock.  I fussy cut and paper-pieced the coffee cup before adhering it to the card base.  The “Merry Christmas” sentiment is stamped in green distress ink above two strips of coordinating holiday patterned paper.

12-9-16-prs-coffee-christmas-close-up-img_1779

I embossed the cream card base with a linen embossing plate…I love the rustic feel it adds to the card!  See that popped up circle snowflake?  I punched the circle from another coordinating  patterned paper, centering the snowflake image!  I finished it off by adding a red gem to the center, edging the circle with diamond Stickles, and popping it up on foam dots.  I also filled in the snowflake with a clear, sparkly gel pen…you can see it in just the right light!

Do you have this awesome Coffee Love stamp set?  It is a perfect set to use if you are participating in the Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop this week!  I’m thinking this card will go to one of my kids’ teachers  for Christmas along with a Starbuck’s gift card inside!

Thanks for stopping by…and Happy Friday!

Design it Monday ~ {Revisiting old friends!}

Hi there! We have something fun planned for the next two weeks. The design team will be revisiting previously released stamp sets and pairing them with Christmas sets! I’m sharing the Journey Stamp Set with you today.

16-1203-001-copy

The camera in this set is perfect for paper piecing! The ‘lens’ of the camera was stamped again then punched out and added with foam tape. A coat of Wink of Stella was added to the outer circle. Pine branches from the Oh Christmas Stamp Set were stamped on coordinating patterned paper. The star splatters from the Journey Stamp Set where stamped over the pine with Versa Mark ink then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiment comes from the Sketchy Christmas Stamp Set.

While I had the patterned paper and stamps out, I decided to make another card!

16-1204-001-copy-2

I layered several die cut pieces together onto a white card base. The card was dry embossed with a pine branch embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment (Journey Stamp Set) with Versa Mark ink then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed out the square then added it to the card. A few pine branches (Oh Christmas Stamp Set) were stamped and fussy cut, then tucked in among the layers.

I hope you enjoyed these! It’s so easy to mix and match all of the PRS sets. Stop by tomorrow for a project by design team member Melissa!

{Inspire Me Friday} White Embossing Times Two!

Hello, everyone!  It’s Judy stopping by today with my final projects for the Oh, Christmas stamp release!  This time I made two separate projects…both using white embossing powder.

My first project is a card using some non-traditional colors, namely pink and light green.  I embossed the “Merry & Bright” sentiment using Versamark ink and white embossing powder, then watercolored the background using two distress inks (Shabby Shutters and Victorian Velvet).  Next, I used the same distress inks to watercolor the letters in the sentiment so their colors would be richer and darker.  Finally, I went over the letters with Wink of Stella to add some subtle sparkle.  The pink and green sequins are from our lovely Lisa’s Pretty Pink Posh “Sweet Pea” sequin mix!

Can you see the sparkle?

10-28-16-prs-oh-christmas-project-4-img-1104

For my next project, I decided to make a pillow box (to hold a gift card), and I knew this wonderful sentiment would fit perfectly!  I embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder, then stamped the smaller pine branches using Versamark ink and embossed with green tinsel embossing powder.  The three red gems as “berries” are the finishing touch!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects using the versatile Oh, Christmas stamp set.  Happy stamping and thanks for stopping by today!

Create It Wednesday ~ {Let It Snow}

I’m back for my last Create It Wednesday post where I’m showcasing the awesome {Oh Christmas} Stamp Set. I couldn’t let the release pass without throwing in some snowflakes!

let-it-snow

For the card: The burst of color on the card was created using Yupo paper, alcohol inks, blending solution, and a snowflake stencil. I die cut the snowflakes from silver and white cardstock and dotted the center of each one with a rhinestone, because a little sparkle definitely screams holiday to me. I then heat embossed the “let it snow, let it snow” sentiment from the stamp set in silver. If you look closely, you’ll see teeny tiny rhinestones as the dot for each “i”.

I even got  inspired by fellow DT member Lisa and created a tag…it was a totally happy accident 🙂
letitsnowtag

For the tag: I was testing coloring the sentiment using Zig Clean Color brush pens, but decided it was too aggressive for the card…so, I thought, “How about a tag like Lisa?” The sentiment stamp took the ink so well!! It’s proof these stamps are great quality.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my projects from this new release. Thanks for stopping by…now, go create!
