Hey there, friends! Missy here, and I’m really excited to be joining the Design Team! I’m sharing my first layout today, and I used the cute heart stamp from the Love Coupon Stamp Set. I wanted to create lots of little colorful hearts for a background design. I pulled out some of my Distress Inks and some textured white cardstock. Sometimes I like going for a distressed and messy look, so using these inks and the textured cardstock is perfect. I stamped the heart multiple times in various colors, and some of them I overlapped the colors. I then fussy cut them all out. I was inspired by my daughter’s shirt and all the fun colors. I tried to match them all and create a colored heart explosion.:)
I love how all the hearts turned out. I really love how you can see the texture from the cardstock. I like when the stamped image isn’t perfect. I layered all the hearts in groups of the same color to create a rainbow effect. I can’t resist a rainbow color scheme, especially when it’s in my photo!
I did a little watercolor work on the background before I glued down the hearts. I used mostly the same color inks as I used to stamp the hearts, and I also added in some other spray inks. I didn’t want to cover up the hearts too much, so kept most of the embellishing light and below the hearts. I layered in two big skinny die cut hearts behind the photo and added my title on the bottom of the hearts. I added in a cute Fancy Pants flair button, but the hearts are still visible.
Here you can see the work I did around the photo. To the left, I added in matching strips of washi tape. I just wanted splashes of color in a messy & artsy fashion, so I just layered them and tore them. I used a few colors of thread to machine stitch for added texture and detail, and then added in a few Fancy Pants die cuts. I found a cute Hip Kit Club puffy sticker and then added a few sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps.
I stitched through my title and created a little cluster of washi tape and die cuts down at the bottom. I love the dimension of the hearts! You could easily do this with any stamp and any color scheme. I love fussy cutting because then you can move it around anywhere you want.
I hope this inspires you to create a fun background design with a single stamp. And don’t be afraid to take a little extra time to do some fussy cutting. You don’t have to just stamp on your background paper. The possibilities are endless! You can check out my process video if you’d like to see how I put this layout together if you’d like.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
I was sneaky in finding out what my son’s favorite photo is of his baby girl. I knew it would become a refrigerator magnet for him for Father’s Day.
After elongating a tag die cut, I added the Sketchy Alphabet letters to the top spelling out MY GIRL. A strip of die cut hearts stamped with a sentiment from the Love Coupon Stamp Set anchors the photo. That precious photo was dolled up with a wee strip of patterned paper, buttons, sequins and a ribbon tab.
When everything was complete the top seemed a little bare needing a pop of black. Another sentiment from the Love Coupon Stamp Set was the perfect fit!
His baby girl is now 2 1/2! She drew some squiggly lines on the back for daddy and I popped on two magnets. She was very excited to give it to him on Father’s Day! In case you didn’t know, this little one was the inspiration for my Sweet Pea Stamp Set! Everyone says “she sure is grandma’s girl”…they’re right she’s my girl!
Welcome stampers! It’s great to be back again sharing another project idea for you – Valentine’s Day edition!:) You can pretty much make these banners in any theme, but since Valentines is just around the corner, it’s a perfect time to get inspired & create!:)
These are mini banners, I have quite a lot of scrap paper from my 6×6 paper pads, each banner measures approximately 2 “x 3”- cute!♥
Now if you have some scraps – simply create some of these. I created a fish tail on each banner to add a little something since I didn’t add any embellishments except stamps.
I used 3 colors of inks – red, pink, & black. That will give us not only a Valentine inspired colors but it makes our banner look coordinated.
Most of the stamps that I used are not Valentine theme stamp set – always think outside the box – versatile stamps is so much fun to work with, it goes a long way as far as creating different projects.
Lastly , I punched some holes to add my string. Now, you can easily add it to your Valentines decor, or how about to your Valentines gift bag? That’s pretty much what I would do!:)
Hi there! Lisa here today with one more card featuring the Totally Stamp Set. I’ve combined it with some other PRS images to create a masculine card.
This card measures 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″. I stamped the ticket from the Love Coupon Stamp Set onto a Post-it note to create a mask. Then I stamped it three times onto a white panel. Next came one of the border images from the Totally Stamp Set. I used a Post-it note to mask off the edges of the tickets. Those tiny arrows in the opposing corners are also from Love Coupon Set.
‘Monday’ and ‘Memories’ (This Moment Stamp Set) where stamped with Versa Mark ink then heat embossed with Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I colored the tickets with Tombow Brush Markers and added a few silver stars. Even guys like a little bling!
I went totally masked crazy on this one, hope you like it!!
Hi friends! We hope you’re enjoying all of the inspiration using the new Happy Art Stamp Set. I have a fun idea to share today using the scribbles from the set to mimic gold metallic threads.I began with a white panel, Versa Mark ink, the scribbles stamp and gold embossing powder. Next came the stamped arrows. My sentiment was added to a patterned paper that had been stamped with the dashed rectangle from the Love Coupon Stamp Set. I trimmed it as close as possible! This was popped up with foam tape over the scribbles.
Don’t they look like the loops of gold metallic threads that so many card makers are adding to their cards! This is a quick and easy way to achieve that same look. Some coordinating patterned paper with a bit of bling and you’re good to go!
Here’s a close up of the words. It was easy just to ink up the word Love the first two times and then ink up the entire sentiment for the last Love You.
Here’s my card:
I used three Precious Remembrance stamp sets to make this card. The paint streaks were stamped in graduated pink inks with a stamp from the New Day Stamp Set. The heart was stamped on the card and then I stamped another heart, embossed it with clear embossing powder, and popped it up. The heart is from the Love Coupon Stamp Set. I went over the paint streaks with tea dye distress stain. The white script is peeking through because this paper is white on white embossed paper and none of the ink adheres to the words. Cool, huh? And of course some sequins from Lisa’s Sweet Pea sequin collection!
Welcome back stampers!:) I’m here to quickly show you another card inspiration not only perfect for Valentines Day , but I think it works for everyday card as well.♥
I combined 3 stamp sets – Journey , Oh So Fun , & Love Coupon. Lovin’ the messy thread on the background along with the mini white doily – the newest color we added recently in the shop (there are more colors available).
Here’s a sneak peek of our newest product coming very soon!:) Amazing quality sequins in yummy colors perfect for any arts and crafts projects!♥
