Blog

My name is Andrea, stay at home mama to a house of all boys in the sunny (and very humid right now) state of Florida.  With over ten years of crafting under my belt it is one passion that I cannot seem to stay away from for too long.  Things I cannot live without in my craft space: sewing machine, fabric and stamps.  Let’s just say there are touches of these elements in everything I create.

—————————————-

With so many border stamps to choose from, why not use them to create your own background design?

Using one of my favorite border stamps from Precious Remembrance, Mom & Dad polka dots, I created a repetitive polka dot stamped background on a die cut cardstock label.  Next, folded in half, I and added stamped images from both the Friend and Oh So Fun stamps sets in black ink.   I then die cut white sketch paper in a small label die cut (approximately five cut in all).

To create the book, layer the sheets of paper and stamped outer label and sew down the fold to attach it together.  Fold it and press down to create the book.

I completed the look using heart stamps from Positive Thoughts and Love stamped onto cardstock, cut out and adhered to the front of the book.

Swoon!!! Oh how cute!!! LOVE!!!

Tons of ideas coming, so stay tune for more upcoming updates.

Happy Mother’s Day by: Annette Allen

Good Morning sweet Precious Remembrance Shop friends. Annette Allen here with you again today with another fun guest design post.

I am super excited to be here with you again today and hope that I can inspire you.

On today’s card I used Precious Remembrance ShopLove Stamp Set and Mom & Dad. I thought it would the perfect time to share a Mother’s Day card.

Again I am sharing how perfectly you can combine the Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets.

My mom likes shinny stuff so I had to add some fun stickles to this card. Just to bring an extra special smile. With a few layers and a couple pop ups.

This card is ready to bring a smile.

This is my last post as guest designer. It has been a true pleasure and I hope that I have inspired you. I am forever a Precious Remembrance Shop fan and will always have something to share. So make sure and check out my blog: My Clever Creations. Thanks for having me.

Inspire Me Friday {A Keepsake for Dad}

Hello everyone!  Hope this Friday is treating you well!  Geri here, with my last project using the new Journey set!  We celebrated my husband’s birthday this week and I was in need of a card, obviously.  I planned on utilizing some mini prints on a card my kids and I could give him together, but even mini prints were just to big for my card.  So…plan B was to go a little bigger and just kind of make it a ‘card in a frame’…sort of a mini scrapbook page.  I really wanted to use the film strip images with my photos and found a fun way to do that…

I don’t know about you but, I can never get away with taking only a serious family photo…we always have to take 2 or 3 goofy ones…I don’t even try to argue about it anymore.  So I heat embossed a couple of  the film strip/negative images on vellum and cut them out.  Then I cut those goofy little faces out of my photo and adhered them to the back of the embossed strips to show through.  I like that the vellum made the photos subtle enough that I could include them without taking away from the larger family photo.  The Chestnut embossing powder gave my filmstrips a fairly realistic color, too!  You can see I used the arrows and a couple sentiments from the Journey set…

…as well as sentiments from the Friends  and Love set, and the paint splatters from the Positive Thoughts set.  I also made a tiny little envelope to hold a miniature sized birthday greeting that includes the kids’ signatures inside.

When all was said and done, I had a special little keepsake in a 5 x 7 frame for Daddy to keep on his desk to remind him of his special day all year long.  (And I don’t think he’ll mind at all not getting a ‘card’ this year!)

Thanks so much for joining me today!  Hope you’re inspired and can find some time to get crafty this weekend!

Tuesday Ideas {colorful layers}

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you! It’s Kim here to share with you a Tuesday Ideas creation. And today’s project is all about layers.

I just love adding layers to my cards. In fact, sometimes it’s difficult for me to stop adding layers. Although I understand that this style can be intimidating to some, I will share with you my method for piling on the layers without going overboard.

With spring in the air, our family has started going on bike rides again. It feels so good to be outside when the weather has started to warm up. With that idea in mind, I found inspiration for my card today.

I started with a three-part color theme in blue, red, and yellow. For me, choosing my color theme first helps me to stay focused when gathering coordinating ribbons, trims, and buttons. With color in mind, I can quickly scan my craft room for matching embellishments and avoid any supplies that are not in my color theme.

After putting all my layers together, I completed my card by adding the “enjoy” sentiment from the Calendar Stamp set, “fun times” from the Friend Stamp set, and the yellow polka-dot heart from the Love Stamp set. Each perfect for a spring time card!

So…even though there are many layers on my card, it all came together rather quickly because I had a color theme in mind. I hope you’ll try this method out next time you’re feeling a bit crafty.

Thanks for joining me today!

Create It Wednesday {celebrating you}

Celebrating the sentiment today.  Whether you add it to your project as a border or create the perfect sentiment, they definitely make a statement.  In today’s card and box set, mixing and matching sentiments is a favorite with Precious Remembrance stamp sets.

Used several sets including Friends, Birthday, Thanks and Love stamps to create something special.

The box is bordered using the “thank you” border stamp from the Thanks set.  A label created from stamping cardstock , cutting out the label, distressing the edges with ink and scoring along the middle to create the fold.  Marked the “x” using the number one from the Calendar set as well.

How will you use your sentiments today?  Thank you for stopping by for Create It Wednesday and hope you enjoy your day!

Create It Wednesday {layers of my heart}

What is the one thing you may see most tomorrow?  Hearts…and lots of them.  It is all about the love of hearts today, and Precious Remembrance has so many adorable ones to choose from.  Today I am sharing a card using a few of these heart stamps to create a little something for spring.

Bring together your ink, cardstock and stamps (used Thanks, Positive Thoughts, Love sets) and create.  Added texture to each heart petal by brushing a craft knife along the cut edges of the stamped edges.  Folded each in half and used a combination of foam adhesive with craft glue to create the flowers.

Enjoy your Valentine’s Day and maybe find a new way to use your heart stamps this week!

Love is in the air……

Hello stampers! I am currently enjoying working on some projects using the previous releases. So if you’re like me, bring out your older stamps and give it some inking love! And oh! Don’t forget to grab your old paper collections too! But before I go on my project, let me share the following…

Do you guys remember the Love Stamp Set? That’s one of the first stamp set that we released in the shop. So if you’re new to the blog and haven’t seen that much of it, check this out~!

How cute are those?^_^

Now let’s talk about versatility. One of the most popular stamp set that we have is the Calendar Stamp Set. Not only it’s great whole year round, but you can make anything under the sun with this stamp set. Mix and match it with any stamps that you already own. Just perfect for any occasion.

And so I created not only 1 project for you guys, but I have 3 sweet projects for you to enjoy using both stamp sets!^_^

Check out this first one, you’re probably wondering… what else can I do with the sentiment stamps? Well, aside from using it by itself, try mixing it up with a sentiment die cut, I’m sure you have something in your stash that’s just waiting for you to get notice!^_^ Just like this one…. I have this die cut for years, and look how perfect it is. I stamped the word “Memories and Heart” from the Love stamp set. Those 3 hearts at the bottom is from the Calendar Stamp Set. Gotta love hearts!^_^

On to my next project! Looovvveee this card!^_^ I did the same technique on mixing it up with a sentiment die cut. Behind the die cut, I stamped all of the elements using the Calendar Stamp Set. And I just used a colored gel pen to fill in the hearts. And added some fun embellishments!

Here’s my last project for today, a kraft treat bag. Stamped using the Love stamp set, and the solid heart is from the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.

I hope these projects gave you some inspiration on how you can play with our stamps.  Now start creating and grab those supplies that you haven’t seen for awhile.^_^

Happy Crafting!

Create It Wednesday {holiday greetings}

It is just about time to begin building the list of things to have done by the holidays.  This year the first task is underway in creating handmade holiday cards.  If you are planning on it as well the new stamp set is perfect!

Created a framed embellishment using the ornament stamp, border stamp and hearts from the Love Stamp Set.  Also added a tab along the side of the card by stamping the label back to back on a piece of paper, folding it in half along the scalloped edge and trimming around .  And all of those sentiments are just amazing!  Are you creating your holiday cards this year?
