Create It Wednesday ~ Wrapping Paper Ideas

Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re preparing to use your crafty ideas to jump into the holiday season. I adore customizing¬†my Christmas present wrappings. It shouldn’t just about what’s on the inside of the paper, let’s see what we can do to the paper ūüôā I’m using the {Happy Mail} and {Oh Christmas} stamp sets for today’s collabo.OhChrHappyMail gift

I’m sure you never have leftover wrapping paper after the holidays right….ha! For this project, I use the bright¬†white, ready to be decorated, reverse side of my leftovers! Because the surface is usually slick and shiny, I use solvent/archival quality inks like Staz-On or Archival Ink.

OhChrHappyMail giftwrap

Wrap the gift, but don’t tape anything down yet. This is super important! Just crease all of the edges so that you can see the area you want to stamp. Most presents aren’t sturdy enough to allow for a crisp image to be stamped directly onto a wrapped gift, so you’ll need to lay it on a flat desk or table to do your stamping. I used the pine sprigs and date from the {Oh Christmas} Stamp set and the tag, “open me”, and “special delivery” from the newest stamp set {Happy Mail}. And because I looooove embossing powder, the tag is done with both gold and green to match!

I hope you look at your leftover wrapping paper in a whole new light! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you “create it” in your own crafty way!

Design It Monday ~ {Just for You!}

Hi friends! I have a project just for you today to inspire your Christmas gift wrapping this year. PRS has several Christmas stamp sets that will let you put personal touches on your gifts.

Project_20171112_0001 copy

This little brown box had some kind of part we ordered through the mail. I love the cute size and decided to dress it up for Christmas. It¬†started with the wreath from the Joy Stamp Set.¬†After stamping it on a die cut circle, I added the small pine sprig from the Oh Christmas Stamp Set. One row along the outside of the wreath, one along the inside. I stamped them off first to give them a softer appearance. Next came the ‘Special Delivery’ sentiment (Happy Mail Stamp Set).

Project_20171112_0002 copy

The focal of the wreath consists of three fussy cut stars (Oh Christmas Stamp Set) and a little stamp (Happy Mail Stamp Set). I used a tiny hole punch on the stamp to give it a realistic look!

Project_20171112_0005 copy

The gingham and twine bow was jazzed up with a few fussy cut pine sprigs (Oh Christmas Stamp Set). Those teeny berries on the wreath were calling for some of my favorite aqua rhinestones. The paper doily adds a feminine touch. but you could leave this off if you need a masculine look.

Now what to put in this little box…hmmm…

Let It Snow! by: Amy Tsuruta

Hello, I’m back featuring my final project as a Guest Designer for the¬†Precious Remembrance Shop!

Today I’m playing with: Oh Christmas, Fall Colors, CoÔ¨Äee Love.

Here’s a quick gift wrapping idea.¬† I’m a big fan of treat bags and the plain kraft ones are the best for stamping!¬† Team it up with a card and instant giftie!

I love to give¬†+ receive gift cards.¬† I’ll be the Ô¨Ārst one to say that I generally tuck them inside a card.¬† If you slip it inside stamped packaging, it takes it up a notch.¬† This bag didn’t take long at all to embellish.¬† The stamps are from the¬†Oh Christmas¬†stamp set.¬† The speckles are from the Fall Colors set and have been heat embossed in white.

My card combines the Oh Christmas + Coffee Love stamp. A pop of green puts it right into the festive spirit of things.

Thanks so much for stoppin’ by today!!!!¬† A big shout out to Precious Remembrance for having me as a guest designer these last couple of month!¬† Make sure you check out the Precious Remembrance Shop blog!

Saturday Creations ~ {THX}

I don’t know about you guys but there doesn’t even seem to be enough time to breathe this holiday season so I wanted to create a Christmas Thank You card that was quick and easy to mass produce.¬† I used the PR Oh Christmas Stamp Set and a piece of paper that was laying on my desk leftover from a 6×6 paper pad.

oh-christmas-500x500Since this card is going to a younger adult, I decided to use text speak so they would get the message.

Here’s my card:

pr-thx1I used the pine boughs from the stamp set – cool, huh?!

I added some white sequins for bling, polka dot paper, and non-traditional colors.¬† Here’s a closer view:

Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas and don’t forget to send THX cards!

{Inspire Me Friday} A Christmas “Thank You So Much”

Hello, everyone!  Its Judy here with a Christmas thank you card that is quick and easy to make!  I paired up two sets for my card: Oh Christmas and Thanks.

oh-christmas-500x500thanks-stamp-set3-500x500

I started out by embossing the sentiment in white on black card stock and die cut it into a label using a Spellbinders die.  Next, I drew a circle on a white card stock panel and stamped the pine boughs from the Oh Christmas set to make a wreath using two different green distress inks (Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters).  Finally, I used gold thread to mount the label to the white panel and framed it in black before adhering onto the green card base.  The final touch of gold and red Stickles on the wreath added some needed sparkle!

Even though there are several layers, this card is still very flat — that is always important to me, especially for mailing purposes!

I hope you have enjoyed our Design Team’s week of Christmas thank you cards. ¬†It always amazes me how well the different¬†Precious Remembrance Shop¬†stamp sets work together, no matter the season! ¬†I’m sure I will need a bunch of thank you notes after Christmas, and I know what stamp sets I can combine to make them!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Create It Wednesday ~ {Happy Art and Oh Christmas} Thanks

Let’s wrap up this year with an expression of gratitude! Today, I’m using lots of stamp surgery (if you’ve seen my posts, you know I’m a fan) to create a subway art Christmas Thank You card.¬†happy-stamping-oh-christmasfull

I’m always excited to give and receive thoughtful gifts, so what a way to say thanks with this card. When creating this look, I arrange my base set of stamps on a large stamp press/block, rotating them different directions, until I get a¬†design¬†I like. I ink up all the stamps at once and press really well into the center of my paper. Sidebar- I have to say that these stamps ink up and stamp fabulously every time! Then I go back and fill in the blank area, working from the center outward. All you do is change the orientation of the stamp from the previous time you used it.

happy-stamping-oh-christmas

I wanted to include traditional Christmas colors of red, green, and gold and the main sentiment from the {Happy Art Stamp Set} was just the right opportunity by using some embossing powder. The rest of the stamping was done with Pumice Stone Distress Ink. I added some shadows in those big, amazing, open sentiments from {Oh Christmas} and around the embossing using a W3 Copic marker (it’s a perfect match for the ink!). I added a strip of gold glitter tape and called it a night.

Thanks for joining me and I hope this gives you a way to mix your holiday and everyday stamps sets! Have a very Merry Christmas and see ya in the New Year!

Tuesday Ideas: A Holiday Thank You

Hello, everyone!¬† It’s Melissa here with my final post for Precious Remembrance Shop.¬† I am stepping down from the design team and continuing on in my creative journey.¬† I have truly enjoyed my time spent with Dyane and her amazingly talented team and will sincerely miss being a part of all the wonderful creativity here!

For my farewell post, I created a holiday themed thank you card.¬† At season’s end, we’ll all need a few of these!

2016-dec13

I used one of the pine images from the Oh Christmas set to decorate the fun coffee cup from the Coffee Love set.¬† I love the clean fonts of the sentiments in the Thanks stamp set and selectively inked one to label the cup.¬† The trio of stars are also from the Oh Christmas set and I stamped and then embellished them with a gold Wink of Stella brush marker to add a touch of festive sparkle.¬† The green chevron washi tape I found in my stash and used it to ground the coffee cup (please excuse the pun).¬† The cup is popped up with foam dots for dimension.¬† This design is a very simple one to create.¬† I love the sparkle of the stars (they remind me of Starbucks’ gold stars…)!

I hope you’re well on your way to finishing up your holiday cards.¬† Don’t forget to make a few thank you cards while you’re at it!

Wishing you all the best in the new year ahead!

Create It Wednesday ~ {New Day & Oh Christmas Tag Team}

Versatility is the name of the game for today’s Create It Wednesday card! I love when I can combine stamp sets to create great projects, and the result was exactly that when I used the {New Day} and {Oh Christmas} stamp sets.¬†new-day-oh-christmas

newdohc2

I started by creating the focal point for my card, the sideways tag with an inlaid die cut snowflake. The brushstroke stamp from {New Day} was perfect to bring in different hues of blue ink (Chipped Sapphire, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Weathered Wood Distress Inks). I even used the medium sized dot from the set to stamp the hole reinforcer on the tag! For the sentiment, I used some masking to stamp “let it snow” from {Oh Christmas} just once.

new-day-oh-christmas-cu

A few sparkly accents with some Wink of Stella and sequins on the tips of the snowflake and dotting the “i” in the sentiment and we have a wintery collabo ūüôā Thanks for stopping by to see my project and join us Friday when Judy continues our cool¬†combinations of stamp sets for Christmas cards!
