Go Layout by Nicole Martel

Happy stamping everyone! I have another fun layout to share with you today using the Sketchy Alphabet and Journey Stamp Set. Initially, I only intended on using the filmstrip¬† stamp and the “enjoy the journey”, however, my projects always turn out completely different from what I have planned. But in a good way. ūüôā My sister Katie moved to Colorado back in November and I am really missing her… So until I see her in a few weeks, I will have to settle with making pretty layouts for her.

I mounted the camera sticker that’s available in the shop at the bottom of the layout using a foam square. Love how these camera stickers are white because they can be colored using markers to make them work for just about any project.

I stamped the background using blue, green and pink ink along with the filmstrip stamp. Then I decided at the last minute… to add “go” to all the boxes using the Sketchy Alphabet Stamps. I colored them in using a blue marker.

I cut the “heart this” banner from the Today¬†paper snippets and adhered it to the top of the photo. Then I stamped the “Enjoy the journey” sentiment below it using black ink.

To embellish the layout, I added a few embellishments from Pinkfresh Studio and Maya Road. Love the kraft butterflies!

I used molding pink paint to paint part of the layout pink then created the flowers using a stencil and molding paste.

Scrapbooking Layout: Life is Good by Nicole Martel!

Hi all! I’m back again with another layout I created for Precious Remembrance Shop. This was one of those layouts that I couldn’t stop adding stuff… I kept felling like it was missing something. In the end, I’m happy with it!

For this layout, I used the “Little Things” stamps and the “Today” Paper Snippets. I pretty much stuck with the color scheme from the snippets! Aren’t they adorable? I especially love the little frame and the triangle stamps!

For the background, I stamped several of the cluster of triangles in three different colors on white cardstock. I tried to keep the colors similar to the snippetts!

I stamped the “too cute” circle onto white cardstock then traced it with a black pen since the “too cute” was hard to see with the light blue. Then I used scissors to cut the image out and adhered it to the layout using a foam square.

I totally love these paper snippets! Seriously, they are so much fun to play with.

I added a few jewels here and there…just for fun.

I pulled the “Merry Christmas” die cut from my stash because I felt that the layout needed more black to tone down all the pink and green. ūüôā I think it worked!

At the last minute, I decided to add the circles that I traced using Creative Memories’ Circle Cutting System to help frame the cluster of photos and embellishments a little better. Then I added the jewels around the circle to add dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you find this post inspiring!

Project Thursday ~ A Coffee Card and A Year In Review

Hello everyone, I hope you all have a fabulous holidays week! Can you believe that a year almost gone by? New year is coming in 4 more days! And it also means that is the end of my term with Precious Remembrance Shop. It has been an amazing year and for sure I am so grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing team, for Dyane, and for her generosity through out the year.

I have one more card to share with you all today. I created this card with the new Everyday Stamp Set and Coffee Love Stamp Set.

I stamped one of the artsy image from the Everyday Stamp Set with Versamark Ink Pad and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then, I added some red paint using Sakura Koi Water Colors on the background. The heat embossed image resist the watercolor paint.

I used smooshing technique and splatter technique to add more texture with the watercolor paint. I dried it, distress the edge of the paper, and added it on a white card with permanent adhesive.

I stamped the cup from the Coffee Love Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair РNocturne Ink Pad on a white cardstock and then I fussy cut it with scissors.

I stamped the sentiment on the cup with VersaFine Clair РGlamorous and I added the cup on the card with 3D foam tape.

For the other sentiments, they are from Everyday Stamp Set that I stamped with VersaFine Clair РGlamorous, trimmed it into sentiment stripes, and then I added them on the cup with 3D foam tape.

And… before you all go… Here are my Top 5 favorite cards that I created with Precious Remembrance Shop in this year of 2018:

Project Thursday ~ Mixed Media Artist Trading Cards

Hello everyone one… Helen is here. It’s Project Thursday time… And today’s project is a set of mixed media Artis Trading Cards that I created using stamp set, bits and pieces, paper snippets, buttons, and VersaFine Clair Ink Pads from Precious Remembrance Shop.

PreciousRemembrance-ArtistTradingCards-HelenGullett

On these artist trading cards, I used the Little Thing Stamp Set and the Coffee Love Stamp Set.

I stamped the triangles from the Little Things Stamp Set on tissue paper using VersaFine Clair Nocturne (Black) Ink Pad. This is a pigment ink, so it will take time to dry. I set it aside to dry while I was working on the cards.

PreciousRemembrance-ATC04c-HelenGullett

I used watercolor paper 140 lbs for the artist trading cards. To create the background, I use the ink smooshing technique with VersaFine Clair ink pads and Staz-On All-Purpose Stamp Cleaner Spray. Since these ink pads are oil-based inks, water won’t work with them. But the stamp cleaner works like magic!

PreciousRemembrance-ATC04-HelenGullett

The Ink Pads I used on these card backgrounds are:

First, I dab a little bit of the ink on a craft mat, then I spray it with the Staz-On All-Purpose Stamp Cleaner Spray. I smooshed the watercolor paper in the ink. I did one color a the time and then dried them with craft heater tool.

I added thin layer of my homemade texture paste using palette knife on each card. This way give some texture on them and muted the colors a little bit.

After the texture paste dried, I added the pieces of stamped tissue papers on them using gel medium.

Once these cards dried, I added each of them on purple cardstock mat, green cardstock mat, and orange cardstock mat. After that I hand-stitched couple of the edges with white embroidery thread. And I added them again the last 3.5″ x 2.5″ card mats with strong adhesive glue. Lots of layers… I know!!!

Next step, I stamped the cup from Coffee Love Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair РParadise, VersaFine Clair РGreen Oasis, and VersaFine Clair РSummertime. I fussy each of the cup with micro-tip scissors.

PreciousRemembrance-ATC01-HelenGullett

On this first artist trading card, I added the blue cup. I added the XOXO word from Bits & Pieces : Love Coupon. I secured it on the cup with mini stapler. I added the cup on the card with strong adhesive glue. I added the sentiment from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair РNocturne (black) on a white cardstock, trimmed it into paper strip, and doodled the framed around it with Faber-Castel PITT Artist Pen. I embellished this card with some of the Sweet Lavender Buttons.

PreciousRemembrance-ATC02-HelenGullett

On the second and third artist trading cards, I did the same steps that I used to create the first card above.

I also used one of the sentiments from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair РNocturne (black) and one of the card from the Paper Snippets : TODAY. I embellished it with some of the Baby Blue Buttons.

PreciousRemembrance-ATC03-HelenGullett

And on this third artist trading card, I used one of the cute little cassettes from Bits & Pieces : Daily Thoughts to embellish the cup and the sentiment is from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair РNocturne (black). I trimmed the sentiment paper and added on the cassette with adhesive glue. I embellished it with some of the Light Mint Buttons.

For finishing touch, I added some of white gesso on the edges of all the artist trading cards with my finger for extra distress look on them.

Thank you so much for stopping by today… Have a wonderful day!

Design It Monday ~ {Snippets!}

Hello friends! Lisa here today with another installment of Design It Monday. Have you seen the new Paper Snippets: Today¬†Dyane has in the shop? Fun little pages of words and frames you can use on cards or in your scrapbooking. I’ve combined a couple of them with the {Blossom} stamp set on my card today.

I trimmed out one of the frames then stamped a trio of blossom and a few leaves in it. After giving them a light wash of color with Tombo Brush Markers, I added the Snippet to a die cut postage label. This was added to my card base along with some decorative paper and ribbon. I trimmed out a couple of words from the Paper Snippets to form a sentiment of sorts.

These little Snippets were fun to play with and the possibilities are endless. You can use them as they are or cut them up to mix and match as I did. Thanks so much for spending a bit of time with us today, we appreciate your visits!

Scrapbooking Layout!

Hi stampers!:) Does some of you scrapbook? I love scrapbooking so much, and I make layouts / pocket page scrapbook whenever I get a chance. If not, I do try to organize my photos by month, that way it’s easier for me to look back and select what I want to scrapbook at that time.‚ô•

I want to share this layout with all of you, it’s simply about scrapbooking!:)

Does the paper cut-outs looks familiar?:)

They are all from our brand new paper snippets- today. And if you have seen our last release, I made a video on how to make those ticket strips that I cut apart for this layout, using the Love Coupon stamp set and labels from This Moment stamp set.

I had so much fun mix and matching them, as well as layering those embellishments together. The border stamps that I used here are from Beware and Journey stamp sets. ¬†And those really cute polka dots alphabets are from target dollar spot! Oh how much I love those chipboard letters, whenever I see a new design that’s right up my alley, I grab 2 packs of them.lol

Thanks again for joining me today, until our next project!

Happy crafting!

Everyday Card: Awesome! / I Love You

Hi stampers! I have another card for you guys which is pretty similar from my last card but not quite.lol I used pretty much the same process, but changing up some accents a little bit.:)

Check my previous card here: Everyday Card – Life is good / XOXO / Today

I used the coffee cup from the Coffee Love stamp set, ticket and sentiment are from the Love Coupon stamp set. The snippet which has the word awesome is the paper snippet-today, that snippet has an open spot where you can definitely write and stamp on it, but I chose to focus on the word awesome and keep it simple.:)

Can I just say how much I enjoyed watercoloring using inkpads? I switched  or combined (memento inks and adirondack).  Experimenting and just having fun is the best!:)

I think this card screams spring! Woohoo!:) Let me know what you think!‚ô•

I hope you enjoyed today’s project!

Happy Crafting!

Everyday Card: Life is Good / XOXO / Today

Hi stampers!:) You probably know by now that I really love making everyday cards.♥  I found them very versatile and really fun to put some notes on.:)

And so I’m here today to show you how you can combined our brand new paper snippets – today as well as our stamps on a card! Woohoo! best of both worlds.lol Lovin’ all of the layers on this card, I had the best time making this one!:)

Started with a watercolor paper, and then splatter some blue ink mixed with water to create that texture behind the layers. As always, I used my scraps to add some paper layers here and there. I also added the fun polka dots fabric tape and sewing thread for more texture. I stamped the jar image from the¬†Oh So Fun¬†stamp set, and then cut it out, ¬†I didn’t add any color, just keeping it simple.:) And then stamped my ticket strip and sentiment from the¬†Love Coupon¬†stamp set, cut it out and colored too. I stapled the paper snippets, and just totally lovin’ the combined sentiments and how each one stands out.‚ô• Added some cute puffy heart stickers too! Love those!:)

Let me know what you think about this card. I hope you enjoyed!:)

Thanks again for joining me today!
