Saturday Creations ~ {The Bus Stops Here}

Today I have a quick and easy card for you using the school bus from the new Precious Remembrance School Days Stamp Set and some designer paper:

I’m sure if you look in your stash of paper pads, you will find plenty of school themed paper you can make a back to school card with.  The tag and all of the BG lettering were layered papers from the same pad and together they add so much detail.

The school bus from this set is a FAV of mine!

I LOVE how it looks stamped on yellow cardstock with black permanent ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  It adds that little something special don’t you think?  I also LOVE how the lines in the paper look like a road.

I hope you like my card and can see all of the possibilities for creating with the School Days stamp set!

Project Thursday ~ Thank You Teacher!

It’s Project Thursday time and the design team has been showcasing the newest stamp set – School Days.

I used the set to make up some thank you cards that can either be used for a teacher or by a teacher.  I die cut and stamped some apples, die cut the note paper on black and scuffed it with some chalk.  I added the corrugated stars and a little piece of alphabet paper.  Topped it all off with the “thanks” sentiment in the set .  I love the big bold font of this stamp!

Another super versatile set and the design team has been rockin’ out some wonderful creations with it!

Tuesday Ideas: Grounded

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with another installment of Tuesday Ideas!  A new school year has started and I’m loving the new School Days set so much!  I’m often in need of school themed cards throughout the school year and this set has so many possibilities!

Today, I’m sharing a clean & simple congratulations card.

I stamped the dashed outline image in black ink first, using it to ground the three circle images.  I’ve found simple border or background images work so well for grounding elements on a card design!  The three circle images were stamped in three different colors and cut out using a 1-inch circle punch.  Foam dots were used to attached them to the card base.

This could be used to congratulate a young student during the school year or as a graduation card!  I’m even thinking about making several of these and giving a set to a teacher as a gift this year.

I hope your summer is winding down smoothly and you’re beginning to ease into the idea of autumn!  I’m thinking a season change sounds rather nice right about now!

Until next time, happy stamping!

{Inspire Me Friday} Thanks, You are Awesome!

Hello, everyone!  I am so excited to be here today with my first post for {Inspire Me Friday} at the Precious Remembrance Shop!  I am absolutely in love with the new release stamp set, School Days, and I can’t wait to share the projects I made with this wonderful set.

While I adore the bus image in this set, I had a lot of fun playing the with the script “thanks” sentiment this time around!  I thought it would be neat to pair it with one of the smaller sentiments underneath.  I layered a few banners of school-themed patterned paper (from the DCWV “Grade School” stack) onto the card, finishing it off with a few clear gems and a stamped “stitch” from the Positive Thoughts set across the top of the card.

I like to give thank you notes to my kids’ teachers throughout the school year, so a card like this will definitely come in handy!  I’ll have to make a few more for my stash…and I’ll be sure to share them with you when I do.

Be sure to check out the School Days set at the Precious Remembrance Shop…it is one of my favorites!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

{create it wednesday} so proud of you…

Hey PRS fans!!!   Rosemary here and I am super excited to be back on the PRS blog sharing a little card I created using the newly released School Days Stamp set.  I totally love this new set… oh wait… I totally love all the PRS stamp sets, lol!!  But this one will be perfect for creating teacher thank you notes and little cards to tuck into your kiddo’s lunch box.  My first project is a card that is perfect to give when your child accomplishes a school related goal or when they need a little “pick me up”.   And with the neutral tones it works well for a boy or a girl.

I started by die cutting some patterned paper using a little notebook die.  I stamped the 123/abc image on the grid patterned paper using grey ink and then added the sentiment using black ink.  The A+ image was stamped and punched out with a corresponding circle punch.   After layering up the two notebook “pages” with a strip of patterned paper I added the little A+ image.  Super simple, but rather cute don’t you think???

Thank for stopping by today…

Design It Monday ~ {The Wheels on the Bus!}

Hi there! It’s that time of year again when the wheels of those big yellow school buses go round and round all through the town! ( Yep, you’ll have that song in your head today~ wink!) My little bus from the new {School Days} stamp set is paired up with some October Afternoon paper on my card today.

I stamped, colored and then fussy cut the bus. It was added to a charcoal gray card base that was covered with a vintage cream panel. The OA papers were both cut with a scalloped edge border then fit together. The sentiment was stamped several times with Smokey Shadow ink along the top edge of my striped paper. The school bus was added with foam tape.

I added Ranger Glossy Accents to the windows and sparkly rhinestones to the headlights. You might have seen those on a couple of the DT blogs for the hop. I liked the look and I liked that DT member Sue commented they looked like high beams!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. We love it when you visit and when you let us know what you think. Rosemary will be back on Wednesday with something simply fabulous! Have a delightful day.
