Project Thursday ~ Coffee Hugs Shaker Card

PreciousRemembrance-ProjectThursday-Hugs-HelenGullett

Hello everyone… Helen is here.¬†It is time for another Project Thursday ūüôā Today I have a coffee shaker card to share with you that I created using the Sketchy Alphabet Stamp Set and Coffee Love Stamp Set, Rose Quarts Buttons, and Sweetheart Sequins Mixed.

I create the shaker window by cutting 2 sizes of squares dies out of white cardstock and white fun foam for the backing. I added the plastic acetate on the square window with double-sided tape, and then I added the fun foam on it. After that I added some more double-sided tape on the fun foam.

I added some of the Sweetheart Sequins Mixed on the card, gathered them in the middle, and then I added the shaker window on the card.

I stamped the border from Coffee Love Stamp Set with Memento London Fog Dew Drop around the card. And I stamped the sentiment РHUGS under the shaker window using the Sketchy Alphabet Stamp Set with the same ink pad.

For the cup, I stamped the cup on a patterned paper and then stamped again on white cardstock using Nocture VersaFine Clair Ink Pad. I fussy cut the cup with scissors, and I cut out the cup sleeve and lid from the image that I stamped on the white cardstock. I added the sleeve and lid on the cup. And then I stamped the hearts using Pink Charming VersaFine Clair. After that, I added some shadow on the sleeve and lid using Spun Sugar Distress Crayon and watercolor brush. I added the cup on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue.

I finished the card by adding 3 of the Sweetheart Sequins Mixed with the dries-clear adhesive glue.

I hope you all enjoy this card today. Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Inspire Me Friday ~ Congrats, Grad!

Hello, everyone! It’s Judy¬†here with my next {Inspire Me Friday} project using the new “Sketchy Alphabet”¬†stamp set.

It is graduation season, and I am in need of several high school graduation cards this month. ¬†With three teenagers of my own in high school, I find that they are invited to a lot of graduation parties as their older friends graduate. ¬†Their high school color is green, so I used my “Sketchy Alphabet”¬†set and added some green to the sentiment using colored pencils.

The lovely green sequins are from our very own Lisa Elton’s “Sweet Pea” mix, and the graduation cap is a sticker. ¬†I love the texture it adds to my card!

Saturday Creations ~ {Merry Christmas}

Welcome to Saturday Creations where I have masked several of the stamps from our PR Oh Christmas Stamp set to create my sentiment:

000_4864

I decided to go with the non-traditional colors of pink and green just to mix it up a bit.  I used oil pastels to watercolor the background and stamped a wreath from the PR Joy Stamp set with Versamark and embossed it with leaf green embossing powder:

000_4865Some twine and pink mini pearls were the perfect compliment.

The word Merry was heat embossed and then colored in with a pink marker.000_4866Can you see how I masked the sentiments to make it work?

TIP – Use a marker to add ink to one word – in this case Christmas – to get a good crisp image.

I hope you like my card!

{create it wednesday} – a twofer and a goodbye

Happy Wednesday Precious Remembrance Shop fans!!¬†¬† Rosemary here on the blog today to share two cards that I made using the Sweet Pea stamp set.¬† Today is a bit of a sad day for me as this is my last post as a member of the Precious Remembrance Shop design team.¬†¬† It was a hard decision to make as Dyane is one of the sweetest people you could ever find and it has been so much fun being a part of the team, but as the poet Geoffrey Chaucer wrote “all good things must come to an end”.¬†¬† And so my¬†time with Precious Remembrance Shop has come to an end.¬† But, you will still find me creating with my PRS stamps (which I LOVE) and like the rest of you I will be eagerly awaiting the next release!!¬† Now… on to my first card!

two peas

I decided to do some watercoloring and so I stamped one of the little pea pod images on some watercolor paper with VersaMark watermark ink, applied white embossing powder and heat set.¬† (I actually did that twice you will see the other one on the second card.)¬† I then taped my watercolor cardstock to a little wooden cutting board I have and did my watercoloring.¬† Taping the watercolor cardstock down helps to cut down on the warping that occurs when you watercolor.¬†¬† After I had colored the pea pod I added a little wash of color using a lighter shade of green than the one used for the pea pod.¬† I die cut the image along with a tag from some patterned paper.¬† The sentiment was stamped and adhered all the layers to my card base.¬† Finished things off with a bow made from light green and light pink baker’s twine. sweet pea thanks

The second card uses the same layout the only difference is that I used a sentiment from the PRS set Thanks and created a little banner.¬† Because the patterned paper had a bolder look to it I used dark pink baker’s twine along with the light green to create my little bow.¬† I created the second card as a little ‘thank you’ to Dyane for seeking me out and asking me to join the PRS design team.¬† I will never forget that day and just how excited I was to be asked!¬† It has been a true honor being a part of this wonderful team!!¬†¬† Oh… and one more thing!¬† Did you see the yummy new sequins Dyane has in the shop???¬† I will be picking up some to add to my growing sequin stash… I hope you do to!!!

Thanks for stopping by today…
