Design It Monday ~ {Thank you!}

Hello stampers! The fun continues here this week as the design team shares Christmas thank you projects.

This card began with a sentiment image from the Holiday Wishes Stamp Set. I trimmed out the rectangle box then added a tag stamped with a thank you sentiment from the Thanks Stamp Set. I heat embossed the sentiment in Liquid Platinum to coordinate with the glittered stars on the background paper. Two fussy cut pine trees from the Sketchy Christmas Stamp Set were adhered to the back of the rectangle. A large vellum snowflake was added to the card along with the stamped images.

This card was easy to make and could be quickly mass produced. The time to fussy cut the trees was minimal. Stamp, stamp, snip snip, glue glue ~ viola!!

It’s almost Christmas and today I am showing you how well all of the Precious Remembrance stamps sets work together to make one special card.  I showcased the sentiment from the PR Oh Christmas Stamp set and paired it with the PR Sketchy Christmas Stamp Set and for a twist, I used the jar from the PR Oh So Fun Stamp Set!  I hope you like the result:

Here’s a close up:

pr-christmas-hwCan you recognize the stamps from the different stamps sets?

Tip – Don’t be afraid to mix and match, even if this leads to an unexpected twist!  But in order to do this, you MUST have more than one of the FABULOUS PR stamp sets.  Head on over to the Precious Remembrance Shop and start shopping.  These stamp sets make Wonderful gifts!

{Inspire Me Friday} Merry Christmas Coffee and the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

Hello, friends!  It’s Judy here with a special installment of {Inspire Me Friday} featuring two of my favorite sets: Coffee Love and Sketchy Christmas.  I hope you have been inspired by all of the Design Team cards and featured stamp sets this week…I know I have!

As luck would have it, today is also Day One of the week-long Winter Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop, and Precious Remembrance Shop is one of the sponsors!

2016-winter-clbhWe are giving away a great prize as part of the hop…the “Totally” stamp set!

In honor of the 2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop starting today, I made a card featuring my favorite coffee cup stamp and some fun patterned papers.

I started out by stamping the coffee cup onto kraft card stock as well as a gingham patterned paper and plain white card stock.  I fussy cut and paper-pieced the coffee cup before adhering it to the card base.  The “Merry Christmas” sentiment is stamped in green distress ink above two strips of coordinating holiday patterned paper.

I embossed the cream card base with a linen embossing plate…I love the rustic feel it adds to the card!  See that popped up circle snowflake?  I punched the circle from another coordinating  patterned paper, centering the snowflake image!  I finished it off by adding a red gem to the center, edging the circle with diamond Stickles, and popping it up on foam dots.  I also filled in the snowflake with a clear, sparkly gel pen…you can see it in just the right light!

Do you have this awesome Coffee Love stamp set?  It is a perfect set to use if you are participating in the Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop this week!  I’m thinking this card will go to one of my kids’ teachers  for Christmas along with a Starbuck’s gift card inside!

Thanks for stopping by…and Happy Friday!

Design it Monday ~ {Revisiting old friends!}

Hi there! We have something fun planned for the next two weeks. The design team will be revisiting previously released stamp sets and pairing them with Christmas sets! I’m sharing the Journey Stamp Set with you today.

The camera in this set is perfect for paper piecing! The ‘lens’ of the camera was stamped again then punched out and added with foam tape. A coat of Wink of Stella was added to the outer circle. Pine branches from the Oh Christmas Stamp Set were stamped on coordinating patterned paper. The star splatters from the Journey Stamp Set where stamped over the pine with Versa Mark ink then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The sentiment comes from the Sketchy Christmas Stamp Set.

While I had the patterned paper and stamps out, I decided to make another card!

I layered several die cut pieces together onto a white card base. The card was dry embossed with a pine branch embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment (Journey Stamp Set) with Versa Mark ink then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed out the square then added it to the card. A few pine branches (Oh Christmas Stamp Set) were stamped and fussy cut, then tucked in among the layers.

I hope you enjoyed these! It’s so easy to mix and match all of the PRS sets. Stop by tomorrow for a project by design team member Melissa!

Design It Monday ~ {Which Came First?}

Hello stampers! Lisa here today with one more Design It Monday post featuring the Oh Christmas stamp set.

I’ve often been asked if I choose the stamps or the papers first when creating my cards. Kind of like the chicken and the egg question…which came first! In this case it was this particular sentiment from the Oh Christmas stamp set. I knew I wanted it to be the focal point, so I kept the other elements simple. I stamped the image on a ledger paper then die cut it along with some red glitter paper to back it with.

I chose a traditional plaid paper then adhered it to the white card base followed with the sentiment label. To dress it up just a tad, I added some fussy cut pine sprigs and die cut mittens stamped with that same pine. I also used a hole punch on some of the red glitter paper scraps for glittery dot accents.

project_20160911_0006-copyMy matching tag was die cut with the same label using the ledger and glitter papers. This sentiment comes from the Sketchy Christmas stamp set. More stamped pine accents were used here.

So just which did come first, the chicken or the egg!!

Design It Monday ~ {Let it snow!}

Hello, Lisa here today! I’ve had so much fun creating with the new Oh Christmas Stamp Set. As I mentioned in my last Design It Monday post, I will be sharing cards and matching tags for all of my posts! First up, the card.

I pulled colors from the patterned paper (Crate Paper) for my focal panel. The stars were stamped in three colors. The lighter pink came from stamping the bright pink without re-inking. Coordinating twine and a jingle bell were the only accents needed!

For the matching tag, I used a die cut star. The top and bottom were masked off to stamp the stars. I added the star splatters from the Journey Stamp Set and a sentiment from the Sketchy Christmas Stamp Set that’s popped up with a thin strip of foam tape. Once again there are accents of coordinating twine and a jingle bell.

I like my traditional reds, greens and golds for Christmas. But once in a while it’s nice to mix things up a bit. Oh, and by the way…the sentiment ‘let it snow’. Nope, NOT ready for that yet!!

{Inspire Me Friday} One Layer Christmas

Hello, everyone!  I’m so excited to be here today to share my first clean and simple project using the new release stamp set, Oh Christmas!

I really love one layer cards…they are no fuss to mail and don’t tend to get damaged from all the post office equipment!  So, for today’s project I kept it clean and simple, making a one-layer card that would be easy to mass produce if needed.

I started with a white card and planned the placement of my sentiment and tree stamps using my Mini Misti.  First, I stamped the sentiment.  (Can I just say that I LOVE this sentiment?  I adore the mix of type and script!)  Next, I stamped the tree using two different distress inks together.  Finally, I embossed the border using a Sizzix tulip frame embossing folder, then added some red metallic gems and clear drops of Glossy Accents for some color and shine.

You could combine this sentiment with so many of the Precious Remembrance Shop Christmas stamp set images…the wreath, the trees, the branch sprigs.  I’m sure you can imagine ways to use this beautiful sentiment on your cards!

Thanks for stopping by today…I hope you enjoyed my card!

Saturday Creations ~ {Wishing You a Pink Merry Christmas!}

For my last card with the PR Sketchy Christmas set, I decided to use some of my Favorite things:

Light molding paste with a damask stencil, a shade of pink, vellum, embossing, and a FAB stamp set!  I have really enjoyed creating with Sketchy Christmas!  Here’s a close-up of the white embossed tree and clear embossed black sentiment against the BG I created with plumeria spray:

Something else I do when I’ve created something I like is to re-create it in reverse colors:

The tree was stamped with Versamark and embossed in white.  Then the watercolor paper was sprayed with plumeria.  The ribbon just ties it all together!

Tip – the tail on the Merry Christmas sentiment makes a great line to “ground” the tree, don’t you think?!

I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas and come back to see what’s in store for 2016!  Thanks for stopping by!

{Inspire Me Friday} Nontraditional Christmas

Hello, everyone!  It’s Judy here, just stopping by today with my final card for the Sketchy Christmas release this month.  I have really enjoyed playing with the Sketchy Christmas stamp set this month…I hope you have gotten your hands on it and have been able to make some holiday cards with these amazing images!

For this installment of {Inspire Me Friday} I went with a non-traditional Christmas card using colors not typically associated with the holidays.  I added simple little matching gems to each tree top for some sparkle!

Keep in mind that you can use these trees for any card…just change the colors and the sentiment depending on the occasion!

I have really enjoyed playing with Sketchy Christmas this season…I hope you have enjoyed seeing all of our creations with this set!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
