Design It Monday ~ {Lack of Color!}

Hello and welcome! I have a card lacking in color for you today. Wait, what? No, I haven’t lost my mind, I’m just sharing a black and white card!

18 0107 006 copy

I started with a black panel then heat embossed the sentiment using Versa Mark ink and white embossing powder. All of the words come from the Daily Thoughts stamp set. Combing the words from the set to create a customized sentiment is super easy with the Misti. Don’t you love the mix of fonts!

I added the Xs border (Thanks stamp set) and a strip of die cut hearts to balance out the design. I popped this onto my card that had been covered with a panel of black and white patterned paper.  It still seemed to be needing just a little something else. The tiny winking face from the Coffee Love stamp set filled that void perfectly!

Just because a black and white card lacks color, doesn’t mean it has to lack personality! Thanks so much for popping into the PRS blog. We always love hearing from you.

Tuesday Ideas {You’re my Sunshine}

Hello and welcome! It’s Kelly here and  I am so excited to be sharing my first Tuesday Ideas with you! As a child of the 80’s…I’m “totally” in love with the Totally  stamp set! I love how versatile it is, especially when paired with another stamp set like I have used on my card today. I chose to use the darling Thanks stamp set.

I thought I would create something modern using the bold, graphic prints in the pattern papers I chose to use. I really like the juxtaposition that the script of the “totally” sentiment pairs with the papers. All of the sentiments that I used on today’s card are embossed in gold. I also chose a few burnished gold sequins to bring in an added detail of dimension.

I hope I’ve inspired you to pull out some of your pattern papers and pair them with your favorite PRS stamps. I love that you can completely change the feel of a stamp set by the colors, patterns and details that you add. Thanks for joining me today!

Design It Monday ~ {Thank You!}

Hello, Lisa here today with a project featuring our new Sketchy Alphabet stamp set. I’ve paired it up with some of our previously released sets to create a school themed thank you card. Something suitable for a teacher or even the bus driver!

I left all of the letters intact on the acetate sheet they came on. Using Washi Tape to hold it in place, I inked up just the letters and stamped them on an aqua panel with my Misti. Next came the star splatters from the Journey stamp set. My sentiment is from the Thanks set.

To make the thank you even more special, I whipped up a little goodie bag with some sweet treats! A few letters from the Sketchy Alphabet set along with the school bus from the School Days set were added to die cut pieces. I dressed them up with patterned paper, a die cut doily and ribbon. The windshield on the bus is coated with glossy accents and the headlights are rhinestones! Just some added fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! We have tons of inspiration headed your way using the new Sketchy Alphabet set. Stay tuned…

Saturday Creations ~ {Hi}

Happy Saturday!  I hope you have time this weekend for a little crafting!  Maybe this new PR stamp set, Sketchy Alphabet, will get your mojo working!

Today I have a FUN card for you:

000_4956I LOVE how you can use this set to make sentiments and how you can color the letters in.  For the tiny circles I used the period from this Sketchy Alphabet stamp set and for the larger circles I used the PR Positive Thoughts stamp set.  The squiggle underline for the word HI is from the PR Sweet Pea stamp set.

This is a card you need to hand someone in person because of that Gorgeous flower or if it’s for a special someone you can put it in a padded envelope and pay the extra shipping.  I know they will be excited to receive a card from you!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you like my card!

DIY Valentine’s Day Decoration / Banner + Video!

Welcome stampers! It’s great to be back again sharing another project idea for you – Valentine’s Day edition!:) You can pretty much make these banners in any theme, but since Valentines is just around the corner, it’s a perfect time to get inspired & create!:)

These are mini banners, I have quite a lot of scrap paper from my 6×6 paper pads, each banner measures approximately 2 “x 3”- cute!

(STAMP SETS: Love Coupon , Happy Art , Sweet Pea , This Moment , Thanks, School Days)

Now if you have some scraps – simply create some of these. I created a fish tail on each banner to add a little something since I didn’t add any embellishments except stamps.

I used 3 colors of inks – red, pink, & black. That will give us not only a Valentine inspired colors but it makes our banner look coordinated.

Most of the stamps that I used are not Valentine theme stamp set – always think outside the box –   versatile stamps is so much fun to work with, it goes a long way as far as creating different projects.

Lastly , I punched some holes to add my string. Now, you can easily add it to your Valentines decor, or how about to your Valentines gift bag? That’s pretty much what I would do!:)

So glad you stop by today!

Thanks again for joining & happy stamping!:)

{Inspire Me Friday} A Christmas “Thank You So Much”

Hello, everyone!  Its Judy here with a Christmas thank you card that is quick and easy to make!  I paired up two sets for my card: Oh Christmas and Thanks.

I started out by embossing the sentiment in white on black card stock and die cut it into a label using a Spellbinders die.  Next, I drew a circle on a white card stock panel and stamped the pine boughs from the Oh Christmas set to make a wreath using two different green distress inks (Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters).  Finally, I used gold thread to mount the label to the white panel and framed it in black before adhering onto the green card base.  The final touch of gold and red Stickles on the wreath added some needed sparkle!

Even though there are several layers, this card is still very flat — that is always important to me, especially for mailing purposes!

I hope you have enjoyed our Design Team’s week of Christmas thank you cards.  It always amazes me how well the different Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets work together, no matter the season!  I’m sure I will need a bunch of thank you notes after Christmas, and I know what stamp sets I can combine to make them!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Tuesday Ideas: A Holiday Thank You

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa here with my final post for Precious Remembrance Shop.  I am stepping down from the design team and continuing on in my creative journey.  I have truly enjoyed my time spent with Dyane and her amazingly talented team and will sincerely miss being a part of all the wonderful creativity here!

For my farewell post, I created a holiday themed thank you card.  At season’s end, we’ll all need a few of these!

I used one of the pine images from the Oh Christmas set to decorate the fun coffee cup from the Coffee Love set.  I love the clean fonts of the sentiments in the Thanks stamp set and selectively inked one to label the cup.  The trio of stars are also from the Oh Christmas set and I stamped and then embellished them with a gold Wink of Stella brush marker to add a touch of festive sparkle.  The green chevron washi tape I found in my stash and used it to ground the coffee cup (please excuse the pun).  The cup is popped up with foam dots for dimension.  This design is a very simple one to create.  I love the sparkle of the stars (they remind me of Starbucks’ gold stars…)!

I hope you’re well on your way to finishing up your holiday cards.  Don’t forget to make a few thank you cards while you’re at it!

Wishing you all the best in the new year ahead!

Design It Monday ~ {Thank you!}

Hello stampers! The fun continues here this week as the design team shares Christmas thank you projects.

This card began with a sentiment image from the Holiday Wishes Stamp Set. I trimmed out the rectangle box then added a tag stamped with a thank you sentiment from the Thanks Stamp Set. I heat embossed the sentiment in Liquid Platinum to coordinate with the glittered stars on the background paper. Two fussy cut pine trees from the Sketchy Christmas Stamp Set were adhered to the back of the rectangle. A large vellum snowflake was added to the card along with the stamped images.

This card was easy to make and could be quickly mass produced. The time to fussy cut the trees was minimal. Stamp, stamp, snip snip, glue glue ~ viola!!

{create it wednesday} – a twofer and a goodbye

Happy Wednesday Precious Remembrance Shop fans!!   Rosemary here on the blog today to share two cards that I made using the Sweet Pea stamp set.  Today is a bit of a sad day for me as this is my last post as a member of the Precious Remembrance Shop design team.   It was a hard decision to make as Dyane is one of the sweetest people you could ever find and it has been so much fun being a part of the team, but as the poet Geoffrey Chaucer wrote “all good things must come to an end”.   And so my time with Precious Remembrance Shop has come to an end.  But, you will still find me creating with my PRS stamps (which I LOVE) and like the rest of you I will be eagerly awaiting the next release!!  Now… on to my first card!

two peas

I decided to do some watercoloring and so I stamped one of the little pea pod images on some watercolor paper with VersaMark watermark ink, applied white embossing powder and heat set.  (I actually did that twice you will see the other one on the second card.)  I then taped my watercolor cardstock to a little wooden cutting board I have and did my watercoloring.  Taping the watercolor cardstock down helps to cut down on the warping that occurs when you watercolor.   After I had colored the pea pod I added a little wash of color using a lighter shade of green than the one used for the pea pod.  I die cut the image along with a tag from some patterned paper.  The sentiment was stamped and adhered all the layers to my card base.  Finished things off with a bow made from light green and light pink baker’s twine. sweet pea thanks

The second card uses the same layout the only difference is that I used a sentiment from the PRS set Thanks and created a little banner.  Because the patterned paper had a bolder look to it I used dark pink baker’s twine along with the light green to create my little bow.  I created the second card as a little ‘thank you’ to Dyane for seeking me out and asking me to join the PRS design team.  I will never forget that day and just how excited I was to be asked!  It has been a true honor being a part of this wonderful team!!   Oh… and one more thing!  Did you see the yummy new sequins Dyane has in the shop???  I will be picking up some to add to my growing sequin stash… I hope you do to!!!

Thanks for stopping by today…

hey there… rosigrld

Saturday Creations ~ {thanks for the memories}

Are you singing yet?  I have always LOVED that song ~ such wonderful memories!

I was inspired to make the following card using FOUR Precious Remembrance stamp sets including our newest School Days stamp set:

  In this next close up photo, you can see all four sets including School Days for the word “thanks,” Journey Stamp Set for the photo frame (which I stamped on vellum and backed with white), the Thanks Stamp Set for the words “for” and “the” which I stamped and cut out, and the stamp set This Moment for the word “memories:”

I LOVE combining all of the FAB Precious Remembrance stamp sets to make something a little different.  I used a chevron patterned paper and a light pink paper with little cameras to finish out my theme.

I hope you like it!
