Inspire Me Friday ~ Congrats, Grad!

Hello, everyone! It’s Judy here with my next {Inspire Me Friday} project using the new “Sketchy Alphabet” stamp set.

It is graduation season, and I am in need of several high school graduation cards this month.  With three teenagers of my own in high school, I find that they are invited to a lot of graduation parties as their older friends graduate.  Their high school color is green, so I used my “Sketchy Alphabet” set and added some green to the sentiment using colored pencils.

The lovely green sequins are from our very own Lisa Elton’s “Sweet Pea” mix, and the graduation cap is a sticker.  I love the texture it adds to my card!

Create It Wednesday ~ Desktop Calendar

I’m wrapping up my Create It Wednesday posts using the new {Date Stamp Set} with some mixed media crafty goodness! I wanted to create a desktop monthly calendar for my craft room using this awesome newly released set. Here’s the finished product.
Mixed media postcard full2

I started by using some spray inks…lots of spray ink lol…and a mix of several graphic stamps from other PRS sets {Happy Art and Positive Thoughts}. I stamped them in archival ink and colored them in with some heavy body acrylic paint in similar colors.

Mixed media postcard

(Yes, I did have an art oopsie and had to recreate the background…more time to play right??) Next I marked the calendar grid on some acetate and stamped the days and dates with StazOn ink (made to use on non-porous materials). To mute the background, so the numbers would pop out, I cut a piece of vellum and ran it through my sticker machine and adhered it to the card. I repeated the sticker making with the acetate calendar I made…you don’t even see the adhesive!

I adhered a strip of plain white cardstock behind the days of the week then stuck it all on the “vellumed” background. I added a flag with the month and year and mounted my finished calendar with some removable adhesive to a media board for sturdiness.

I can’t wait to make one for every month of the year!! I hope you’ll give this a try. Thanks of joining me while I shared some ideas for using the new PRS {Date Stamp Set}.

{Inspire Me Friday} Daily Goodness

Hello, everyone!  It’s Judy here with my next installment of {Inspire Me Friday} featuring the new “Date” stamp set!  Are you enjoying all of the wonderful inspiration by our Design Team and awesome Guest Designers this month?  I hope so!

For my project this time around, I decided to make a quick and easy one-layer card and I paired up several PRS stamp sets.  I couldn’t help but think that the days of the week in the “Date” stamp set would go perfectly with the sentiment from the “New Day” set.  Of course, the pretty flowers from the “Blossom” set” go well with any stamps!

The fun dots and brushstroke are also from the “New Day” set, stamped in Scattered Straw distress ink.  The days of the week were stamped in a Soft Granite ink so that the main sentiment in black ink would really stand out.  The flowers were watercolored using distress inks for a soft look.

For a final touch I added three sequins and ran my blue ink pad along the edges of the card to frame it.

Create It Wednesday ~ April Flowers

Hey hey! It’s Deidre, back with another Create It Wednesday and today I’m sharing a birthday tag using the {Date Stamp Set}.

April flowers full

How cool is it to mingle the special day for the person getting a tag or card right into the artwork itself? I used these stamps to do just that, as the stems and leaves of the flowers. Can you see they read “Saturday, April 15”? The flower blossoms come from another one of my favorite PR sets, the {Blossom Stamp Set}. My background is a combo of Victorian Velvet, Evergreen Bough, Shaded Lilac, and Dusty Concord Distress Inks and the hearts are stenciled on with the crayon.

The graphic look the date stamps bring to this project really made me smile. I know she’ll love it (it’s for my mom)! Hopefully, you’ll give this a try. You can customize it for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day…the list is endless.

Join us again on Friday for more great inspiration using the {Date Stamp Set}. If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe to get email notification so you don’t miss a minute with us. Check the top right hand sidebar. Until next time 🙂

Saturday Creations ~ {You’re LOVELY}

I have another card today where I stamped the brush stroke from our new PR Totally Stamp Set horizontally on watercolor paper for the background.

Then I just added embellies:

000_4764Three different doily details, a Gorgeous flower and some washi tape and it’s almost done.

000_4766All it needed was the FAB sentiment You’re_______ from the PR Totally Stamp Set and since my handwriting is horrible,

I added the sentiment LOVELY from the PR Blossom Stamp Set.

I hope you like my card!

{Inspire Me Friday} You’re Sweet…That’s All!

Hello, everyone!  It’s Judy here, back with my next installment of {Inspire Me Friday} highlighting the fun “Totally” stamp set!

For my card, I combined the graphic images from the “Totally” set with some accents from two others sets, including “Happy Art” and “Sweet Pea.”

8-12-16 PRS Totally Project 3 Card

I took some of the guess work out of deciding what colors to combine by using a set of coordinating ink cubes by Hero Arts called “Summer Splash.”  The ink colors in the set include all of the inks you see on my card: Tide Pool, Butter Bar, Orange Soda, and Soft Granite.

I started out with a white stitched die cut rectangle, and I stamped the paint stripes, ink splatters (from “Happy Art”), and stars.  Next I added the main sentiment in Soft Granite ink.  I filled in the blank with the word “sweet” from the adorable “Sweet Pea” set and used the swirly underline from the same set to highlight the word “really.”  Some of Lisa’s “Sweet Pea Sequins” finished off the card.

I mounted the white rectangle onto gray card stock before adhering to my tide pool card base.  I am happy with the general sentiment on the card front…this way I can add a more specific sentiment on the inside of the card when I need it.  This could easily be a birthday card, a thank you note, or even a thinking of you card.

I do hope you have enjoyed my card…now it’s your turn to get your Precious Remembrance Shop stamps out and play!  Have fun!

{Inspire Me Friday} Totally Thankful for You

Hello, friends, and happy Friday!  It’s Judy here with my next installment of {Inspire Me Friday} using the fun new “Totally” set.  Have you gotten your hands on this fun arty set yet?  It goes so well with so many other PRS stamp sets…and is very versatile on it’s own, too!

Today I decided to make a one-layer card using the geometric line of shapes to form a frame around my card.

7-29-16 PRS Totally Project 2

Using dye inks from Simon Says Stamp, I stamped the frame in Khaki and the main sentiment using Coral Reef.  The smaller sentiment is from the “Fall Colors” set and is stamped using Mint Candy.  I used the coral and mint inks to watercolor the triangles of the frame and then splattered some droplets on the card base for extra interest.  Finally, I added some adorable sequins from our own design team member Lisa’s “Sweet Pea” sequin mix and a twine bow to finish it off.

I can’t wait to see your creations with this fun set…I am always adding pictures to my Precious Remembrance Shop Pinterest board for one-stop inspiration…be sure to check out the Precious Remembrance Shop Pinterest Board for lots of inspiring projects, too!

{create it wednesday}… Love this

Hey PRS fans!!  Rosemary here with my last {Create It Wednesday} post showcasing the newest Precious Remembrance Shop releases:  This Moment and Love Coupon.  My card today uses both sets along with another PRS set Positive Thoughts.    As many of you know the Spring Coffee Lover’s blog hop is going on right now and even though I’m not a coffee drinker I have really gotten into the spirit of things and made several coffee themed cards.  My card today is also coffee themed so I will be posting it to the Spring Coffee Lover’s blog hop.

Now Precious Remembrance Shop has a great coffee themed set called “Coffee Love“, but I wanted to show you how you could use other PRS sets to create a coffee themed card.  I mainly used images from the Love Coupon set to create my stamped background, adding in the circles image from Positive Thoughts as it reminds me of coffee rings.  I used light blue, grey and kraft inks to stamp all of my images on some Teresa Collins Studio Gold patterned paper.  The sentiment (created using the large word “love” from Love Coupon and a portion of a sentiment from This Moment) was stamped in black ink and then I added the die cut word coffee.  The edges of the patterned paper were distressed a bit and then matted with kraft cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by…
