Inspire Me Friday – {Something New & A Year in Review}

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  Rosemary here with my final Inspire Me Friday post for the year.   This post is a little bittersweet as this is also my final post as a member of the Precious Remembrance Design team.  I want to thank Dyane to asking me to rejoin the team this year.  It has been a lot of fun designing with Precious Remembrance Shop stamps over the last year, but sadly I must say goodbye.  My final project is one combining the Everyday stamp set with the Coffee Love stamp set.

For this card I decided to use a piece of embossed rose gold paper from a pad I recently picked.  The papers are from DCWV and the pad has glitter papers in it, these embossed ones, metallic and several others.  I just fell in love with the embossed paper and had to use it.  I simply cut two pieces and adhered them to a panel of white cardstock that I had die cut with a rectangle die.  To make my coffee cup I first stamped some white cardstock with the swipes background image from Everyday using Memento Desert Sand ink.   I then stamped the coffee cup from Coffee Love over the stamping with VersaMark watermark ink and embossed it using copper embossing powder.  Did that again for the center band of the cup as well as the lid.   I trimmed out all the pieces and before adhered them I stamped the heart circle image from Coffee Love on the band with the Desert Sand ink and then stamped the sentiment from Everyday in VersaFine CLAIR  Nocturne over the top.   The band and the lid were adhered with foam tape and then the cup was attached to the card front.   A clean and simple, but somewhat elegant birthday card!

Now that I have shared my final project with you I would like to share my favorite projects from the last year.   First up is a card I made using the Daily Thoughts stamp set along with items from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces pack.prs card

This next project uses several different PRS stamp sets.  The fun Sketchy Alphabet, Positive Thoughts and Blossom.  Love the clean and simple design!

Another favorite project from this past year is this card.  This card uses images from DIY and Little Things.

Do you see a pattern forming?  Most of my favorites center around stamping!  This next project is full of stamping with another favorite PRS set, Fall Colors.

My last project is probably my most favorite and I think showcases perfectly just how much fun you can have with PRS stamp sets!  This card was made with the Beware stamp set, New Day stamp set and one of my go to PRS stamp sets:  Positive Thoughts.

Project Thursday ~ A Coffee Card and A Year In Review

Hello everyone, I hope you all have a fabulous holidays week! Can you believe that a year almost gone by? New year is coming in 4 more days! And it also means that is the end of my term with Precious Remembrance Shop. It has been an amazing year and for sure I am so grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing team, for Dyane, and for her generosity through out the year.

I have one more card to share with you all today. I created this card with the new Everyday Stamp Set and Coffee Love Stamp Set.

I stamped one of the artsy image from the Everyday Stamp Set with Versamark Ink Pad and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then, I added some red paint using Sakura Koi Water Colors on the background. The heat embossed image resist the watercolor paint.

I used smooshing technique and splatter technique to add more texture with the watercolor paint. I dried it, distress the edge of the paper, and added it on a white card with permanent adhesive.

I stamped the cup from the Coffee Love Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair – Nocturne Ink Pad on a white cardstock and then I fussy cut it with scissors.

I stamped the sentiment on the cup with VersaFine Clair – Glamorous and I added the cup on the card with 3D foam tape.

For the other sentiments, they are from Everyday Stamp Set that I stamped with VersaFine Clair – Glamorous, trimmed it into sentiment stripes, and then I added them on the cup with 3D foam tape.

Project Thursday ~ Mixed Media Artist Trading Cards

Hello everyone one… Helen is here. It’s Project Thursday time… And today’s project is a set of mixed media Artis Trading Cards that I created using stamp set, bits and pieces, paper snippets, buttons, and VersaFine Clair Ink Pads from Precious Remembrance Shop.

On these artist trading cards, I used the Little Thing Stamp Set and the Coffee Love Stamp Set.

I stamped the triangles from the Little Things Stamp Set on tissue paper using VersaFine Clair Nocturne (Black) Ink Pad. This is a pigment ink, so it will take time to dry. I set it aside to dry while I was working on the cards.

I used watercolor paper 140 lbs for the artist trading cards. To create the background, I use the ink smooshing technique with VersaFine Clair ink pads and Staz-On All-Purpose Stamp Cleaner Spray. Since these ink pads are oil-based inks, water won’t work with them. But the stamp cleaner works like magic!

The Ink Pads I used on these card backgrounds are:

First, I dab a little bit of the ink on a craft mat, then I spray it with the Staz-On All-Purpose Stamp Cleaner Spray. I smooshed the watercolor paper in the ink. I did one color a the time and then dried them with craft heater tool.

I added thin layer of my homemade texture paste using palette knife on each card. This way give some texture on them and muted the colors a little bit.

After the texture paste dried, I added the pieces of stamped tissue papers on them using gel medium.

Once these cards dried, I added each of them on purple cardstock mat, green cardstock mat, and orange cardstock mat. After that I hand-stitched couple of the edges with white embroidery thread. And I added them again the last 3.5″ x 2.5″ card mats with strong adhesive glue. Lots of layers… I know!!!

Next step, I stamped the cup from Coffee Love Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair – Paradise, VersaFine Clair – Green Oasis, and VersaFine Clair – Summertime. I fussy each of the cup with micro-tip scissors.

On this first artist trading card, I added the blue cup. I added the XOXO word from Bits & Pieces : Love Coupon. I secured it on the cup with mini stapler. I added the cup on the card with strong adhesive glue. I added the sentiment from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black) on a white cardstock, trimmed it into paper strip, and doodled the framed around it with Faber-Castel PITT Artist Pen. I embellished this card with some of the Sweet Lavender Buttons.

On the second and third artist trading cards, I did the same steps that I used to create the first card above.

I also used one of the sentiments from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black) and one of the card from the Paper Snippets : TODAY. I embellished it with some of the Baby Blue Buttons.

And on this third artist trading card, I used one of the cute little cassettes from Bits & Pieces : Daily Thoughts to embellish the cup and the sentiment is from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black). I trimmed the sentiment paper and added on the cassette with adhesive glue. I embellished it with some of the Light Mint Buttons.

For finishing touch, I added some of white gesso on the edges of all the artist trading cards with my finger for extra distress look on them.

Project Thursday ~ Rainbow CAS Card

Hello everyone… Helen is here today. I hope you all are having great week so far… Today, I have a fun rainbow CAS card to share with you that I created with Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets and VersaFine Clair ink pads. Clean-and-Simple card is one of my favorite style to make, and this is very easy and quick to make!

When I saw the fun circle images from the Little Things Stamp Set, I just have to use them. I picked the one circle that has Favorite printed on it. I started stamping it in the middle of a white cardstock with VersaFine Clair ink pads: Cheerful, Summertime, Glamorous, Charming Pink, Purple Delight, Paradise, Warm Breeze, and Green Oasis. I overlapped each circle to create that rainbow rings border.

After that I trimmed it into 3.75″ x 5″. Then I cut a black cardstock into 4″ x 5.25″ to make it as a mat. I added the black cardstock on a A2 white card base with adhesive glue, then I added the white panel on it with the same adhesive.

I added one of the heart circle from Bits & Pieces : Love Coupon in the middle of the red circlewith 3D foam tape for extra dimension to it.

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from Positive Thoughts Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black) on the right side, at the bottom of the circles. The card is done. Yes, as simple as those steps!

Project Thursday ~ Fun Projects With Bits and Pieces, Stamp Set, Buttons and Mini Doilies

Hello Precious Remembrance Fans… It is Thursday and time for Project Thursday. Today I have 2 projects to share with you that I created using the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces, Happy Art Stamp Set, Antique Gray Buttons, and Mini Doilies.

My first project is a mixed media tag. I started with creating the tag background. I used watercolor 140 lbs paper for the tag because I like it thickness and sturdiness, especially with I works with mediums and water. I added Distress Oxide Inks on my craft mat – one color at a time – then I sprayed with water and dip my tag. I dried the color each time I added color to build up the layers of colors.

After all colors dried, I added some water splatters on it and dabbed it off with paper towel. Then I added thin layer of white gesso around the edge using my finger. I dried it with craft heater and then I stamped the triangles and hearts from the Happy Art Stamp Set with Black Archival Ink Pad. I dried the ink again with craft heater.

Next, I added some gel medium to cover the tag with foam brush, added one of the Mini White Mini Doilies on top of it and then added some gel medium again all over it. This will glue and seal the doily on the tag. Then I added some more white gesso randomly on the tag.

Once the gesso is dry, I added one of the big cassette from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces Set with dries-clear adhesive glue. Next, I added the word strips and stars on the tag with dries-clear adhesive glue and I added some mini staplers on them for extra accent.

I added the buttons strip on the tag with 3D foam tape for extra dimension. And I embellished the tag with more star and buttons. That finished the tag 🙂

And for my second project it is a Thinking of You card. The front card is a clean-and-simple design. I stamped the scribble and splatter images from Happy Art Stamp Set in the middle of the white card. Then I added the Thinking of You piece on it with 3D foam tape and added the stars with dries-clear adhesive.

And for the inside, I created this pop-up using this tutorial. For the back of the cassette, I trimmed a white cardstock that the same size with the cassette. I used one of the Mini Yellow Doilies.

Inspire Me Friday – {Let the Music Play}

Happy Friday everyone!!! I have one last project to share using the new Daily Thoughts stamp set, as well as the new Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces.   I have had so much fun creating projects with the Bits & Pieces that I used a couple more for today’s card!

PRS Doily Card

One of my earlier cards had this same little tag combo that I just love and so I decided to use it again.  I paired it up with one of the little doilies that you can find in the PRS store.   The background was created by stamping the little stars image from the Daily Thoughts set in a light gray ink on light gray cardstock.  I trimmed that down, adhered it to my card base and then added the doily and tag.  I finished things off with the black twine bow.    After I finished my card I realized that it has little things from each of the projects that I have made over the last two months!!  I hope you enjoy it!!

Inspire Me Friday – {Currently… Thinking of You}

Hello and happy Friday everyone!!!  Have you been enjoying all the fabulous projects that the design team have been creating over the last two months???  I know I have!!  Today I have a little black and white number that uses both the Daily Thoughts stamp set and another item from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces pack.  I just love that embellishment pack!!

I started my project by stamping the cassette tape on white cardstock with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and then trimmed it out.  I cut a strip of black cardstock and adhered it to a white cardstock card base.  Since I had decided to use the circle sentiment that says ‘thinking of you’ from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces pack I stamped the word ‘currently’ in VersaMark watermark ink and then heat embossed it in white embossing powder.  Once that was done I trimmed it out and layered up all my elements just as you see them.   Super clean, simple and fun!!

Inspire Me Friday – {totally love you}

Hi friends!!  So excited to be back on the PRS blog sharing a project I made using the super fun Totally stamp set!  I also used the Love Coupon stamp set and some pieces from the Love Coupon Bits  &  Pieces collection.

I recently purchased a pad of patterned paper from the Prima Zella Teal collection.  I saw another crafter using items from this collection and I just fell in love with it.   As I thought about what I would make for my project I thought about this pad and decided to use some for my card.  I wanted a card that could be given to a man or a woman so I pulled out some paper from the collection that would work for both and die cut it with a stitched rectangle die.  Some additional paper that has a kraft look to it was die cut with another rectangle die.   Pulling colors from the collection I used some VersaMagic inks in Oasis Green to stamp the border and Wheat to stamp the large word totally.   The sentiment love you is from the Love Coupon set and actually says I Love you, but I masked off the I before inking up the sentiment and stamping it in VersaFine Onyx Black.  The little hearts from the Love Coupon Bits & Pieces collection were trimmed out (they were originally circles) and popped them up with foam dimensionals.  Before layering everything up on my card base I wrapped some black twine around the patterned paper piece and then tied it with a simple knot.    I hope I have given you a good idea for a card to make for a man or woman!!
