Inspire Me Friday – {Something New & A Year in Review}

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  Rosemary here with my final Inspire Me Friday post for the year.   This post is a little bittersweet as this is also my final post as a member of the Precious Remembrance Design team.  I want to thank Dyane to asking me to rejoin the team this year.  It has been a lot of fun designing with Precious Remembrance Shop stamps over the last year, but sadly I must say goodbye.  My final project is one combining the Everyday stamp set with the Coffee Love stamp set.

For this card I decided to use a piece of embossed rose gold paper from a pad I recently picked.  The papers are from DCWV and the pad has glitter papers in it, these embossed ones, metallic and several others.  I just fell in love with the embossed paper and had to use it.  I simply cut two pieces and adhered them to a panel of white cardstock that I had die cut with a rectangle die.  To make my coffee cup I first stamped some white cardstock with the swipes background image from Everyday using Memento Desert Sand ink.   I then stamped the coffee cup from Coffee Love over the stamping with VersaMark watermark ink and embossed it using copper embossing powder.  Did that again for the center band of the cup as well as the lid.   I trimmed out all the pieces and before adhered them I stamped the heart circle image from Coffee Love on the band with the Desert Sand ink and then stamped the sentiment from Everyday in VersaFine CLAIR  Nocturne over the top.   The band and the lid were adhered with foam tape and then the cup was attached to the card front.   A clean and simple, but somewhat elegant birthday card!

Now that I have shared my final project with you I would like to share my favorite projects from the last year.   First up is a card I made using the Daily Thoughts stamp set along with items from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces pack.prs card

This next project uses several different PRS stamp sets.  The fun Sketchy Alphabet, Positive Thoughts and Blossom.  Love the clean and simple design!

Another favorite project from this past year is this card.  This card uses images from DIY and Little Things.

Do you see a pattern forming?  Most of my favorites center around stamping!  This next project is full of stamping with another favorite PRS set, Fall Colors.

My last project is probably my most favorite and I think showcases perfectly just how much fun you can have with PRS stamp sets!  This card was made with the Beware stamp set, New Day stamp set and one of my go to PRS stamp sets:  Positive Thoughts.

I hope I inspired you to pull out your Precious Remembrance Shop stamp sets and start mixing and matching to see what you can create!  Have a very happy new year!

Project Thursday ~ A Coffee Card and A Year In Review

Hello everyone, I hope you all have a fabulous holidays week! Can you believe that a year almost gone by? New year is coming in 4 more days! And it also means that is the end of my term with Precious Remembrance Shop. It has been an amazing year and for sure I am so grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing team, for Dyane, and for her generosity through out the year.

I have one more card to share with you all today. I created this card with the new Everyday Stamp Set and Coffee Love Stamp Set.

I stamped one of the artsy image from the Everyday Stamp Set with Versamark Ink Pad and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then, I added some red paint using Sakura Koi Water Colors on the background. The heat embossed image resist the watercolor paint.

I used smooshing technique and splatter technique to add more texture with the watercolor paint. I dried it, distress the edge of the paper, and added it on a white card with permanent adhesive.

I stamped the cup from the Coffee Love Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair – Nocturne Ink Pad on a white cardstock and then I fussy cut it with scissors.

I stamped the sentiment on the cup with VersaFine Clair – Glamorous and I added the cup on the card with 3D foam tape.

For the other sentiments, they are from Everyday Stamp Set that I stamped with VersaFine Clair – Glamorous, trimmed it into sentiment stripes, and then I added them on the cup with 3D foam tape.

And… before you all go… Here are my Top 5 favorite cards that I created with Precious Remembrance Shop in this year of 2018:

Project Thursday ~ You’re A Fantastic Friend

Hello everyone… Helen is here. For today Project Thursday, I have a fun black and white card for a fantastic friend to share with you all.

PRS_YoureFantasticFriend_HelenGullett

Stamps I use on my cards today are the new Little Things Stamp Set, Oh So Fun Stamp Set, and Blossom Stamp Set. I started with creating the black and white polkadots and tripes background.

PRS_YoureFantasticFriend_HelenGullett_01

I stamped the polkadots stripe stamp from Little Things Stamp Set using VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad with MISTI and Creative Corners. I stamped one stripe, and then move up the cardstock 1 inch and then stamp again. I repeated the step until the whole panel stamped.

I trimmed the background panel very slightly smaller, I added one of the Mini White Doilies on it, bit off the edge and wrapped it on the edge of the panel,  and added it on an A2 White Card with dries-clear adhesive.

PRS_YoureFantasticFriend_HelenGullett_02

I stamped the flowers from Blossom Stamp Set with VersaMark Ink Pad on a piece of Vellum Paper, then sprinkle them with White Embossing Powder that I mixed it with some Holographic Embossing Powder for extra sparkle. I heat set them with craft heater. Then, I fussy cut the flowers with micro-tip scissors. I used one of them on the jar.

PRS_YoureFantasticFriend_HelenGullett_03

Then I stamped the jar and sentiment from Oh So Fun Stamp Set and also one of the sentiment from Little Things Stamp Set using VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad on a different white cardstock using MISTI. After that, I fussy cut the jar with micro-tip scissors and trimmed the sentiments into sentiment strips with paper trimmer. I added someVersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad on one of the sentiment strips using Sponge Dauber.

I added the jar on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue, next I added the flower on it. Then, I added the sentiment strips on the card with dries-adhesive glue, and the other one with 3D foam tape for extra dimension.

My black and white card is done 🙂 I hope you all enjoy it today. THANK YOU for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Project Thursday ~ Choose Joy Today

PreciousRemembrance-ChooseJoyToday-HelenGullett

Hello Precious Remembrance friends… Helen is here today with a fun simple way of creating mixed media card with stamping, embossing, acrylic paint and white gesso. First, I crated the background by adding lightly some blue, violet, and yellow acrylic paint on a white cardstock. Using baby wipes, I  soften the colors. After that, I stamped the grid texture image from Fall Colors Stamp Set with Ranger Black Archival Ink Pad. I added lightly some White Gesso with my finger randomly on the paper. And then, I trimmed it bit smaller that the violet card base and added it on the card with adhesive glue.

PreciousRemembrance-ChooseJoyToday-HelenGullett-Prev

I stamped the flowers from Blossom Stamp Set on vellum paper with Versamark Ink Pad, and added some white glitter embossing powder on it, and heat set them with craft heater. I fussy cut them using micro-tip scissors.

For the sentiments, I stamped the words using Sketchy Alphabets Stamp Set on a white cardstock with Gypsy CTMH Dye Ink Pad and trimmed them into word strips.

I arranged the flowers on the card and glued them with dries-clear adhesive glue. I added the word strips on the card with 3D foam tape, and then I added the some of the Sweet Lavender Buttons on the card with adhesive glue.

I hope you all enjoy this post today and find inspirations from around you to create today. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Inspire Me Friday {hello, spring}

Happy Friday everyone!! Easter is just around the corner and my kiddo will be on spring break next week!  With all that in mind I have a fun spring like card to share today that uses three different Precious Remembrance Shop sets:  Sketchy Alphabet, Positive Thoughts and Blossom.

Hello Spring 2

I started my card by looking through my vast supply of patterned paper and pulled out three different collections that were very spring like.  I ended up using a small grouping of papers that came in a card kit I bought last year and unfortunately I don’t remember what company they came from.  I cut down the teal paper with the polka dots to fit my card front.  The I stamped the flowers from the Blossom set in a medium pink ink on the pink gingham paper and trimmed them out.  The word spring was stamped with the same ink using the Sketchy Alphabet and trimmed out.  I have had this pretty doily border in my stash for ages so I used some of that in the upper corner.  I adhered the flowers and then added the sweet little teal buttons (from the PRS shop) to the centers.  The hello (from Positive Thoughts) was stamped in a dark gray ink, then I adhered the letters to spell out spring and adhered the panel to a pink cardstock base.   I love the slightly homespun feel that this card has.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Project Thursday ~ Thinking Of You Card Set

PRS-ProjectThursday-Mar8-HelenGullett

Hello everyone… Helen is here today. I have a set of Thinking of You cards to share with you that I created with two stamp sets and buttons. When I make a set of cards or mass-produce, I like to go with clean-and-simple style 🙂

PRS-ProjectThursday-Mar8-HelenGullett-001

First step I created the watercolored backgrounds. I scribble some of the Aquamarine Spectrum Aqua marker on a piece acetate and sprayed with some water. Then I used that acetate to stamp directly on the front of the white cards. I did it couple time to create the layers and dried it every time I added layer of color.

PRS-ProjectThursday-Mar8-HelenGullett-002

Next step is creating the flowers. I stamped the petals and stalks from Blossom Stamp Set on patterned papers with Versafine Onyx Black. Then I fussy cut each of them with micro-tip scissors. I added the flowers on the cards with dries-clear adhesive glue.

PRS-ProjectThursday-Mar8-HelenGullett-003

After all the flowers added on the cards, I stamped the sentiment from Daily Thoughts Stamp Set with the same ink pad using Mini MISTI. And then I embellished cards with some Simply Butter Buttons. And the cards are done… here are the close up of the cards:

I love having any type of cards ready in my card box whenever I need them. What type of cards do you like to have them ready in your stash whenever you need it? I hope you all can enjoy this post and inspired to create today.

Thank you so much for stopping today! Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday Ideas: Gold Blossom

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with one last clean & simple card idea for the new Blossom set!

This week, I used gold tinsel embossing powder on one of the blossoms in the set to give it a little sparkle and shine.  I used one of the circles in the New Day stamp set as a flower center, popping it up with a foam dot.  The sentiment is from the Positive Thoughts set.  I used a stitched border die to dress things up a bit and added more dimension by popping up the entire main panel using foam dots.

This set has so many possibilities and I love that it works so well for clean and simple design!

Until next time, happy stamping!

{create it wednesday} … watercolor

Hello PRS fans!!  Rosemary here today with my final post highlighting the new Blossom stamp set.   Ever since I received this set from Dyane I have wanted to create a card that uses watercoloring because I think this set was made to be watercolored!!   Well… today is the day!  I recently purchased a set of Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints and used them for my card.   They sure are lovely to work with!

After watching a couple of videos showing how to use the paints I got to work.  I stamped the small jar image from Oh So Fun using VersaFine Vintage Sepia and then added the flower and stem using the same ink on Ranger watercolor paper.  I taped the panel to a small wood cutting board with painters tape and colored up the image.  Taping the panel down and leaving it that way to dry cuts down on warping that can occur as the panel dries.    Once the panel was dry I cut it down using a rectangle die with a little dotted border and added the sentiment using VersaFine Onyx Black ink.   I added little drops of Glossy Accents to create the look of condensation on the jar.  Here is a detail shot of the droplets:

Tuesday Ideas: Color with Spray!

Hello, everyone!  It’s time again for Tuesday Ideas using the newest Blossom stamp set!  I created another clean & simple card design to share with you.

I tend to forget I can use my shimmer sprays to color images, but remembered when planning today’s post!  I stamped one of the pretty blossoms in the set on white cardstock before spritzing it with purple and gold shimmer sprays.  After it dried, the image was fussy cut and a clear gemstone was added to the flower center.  I die cut the stitched circle and stamped the three words on it.  The flower was then attached to the circle using a foam dot.  The assembled piece was popped up on the card base using foam dots.  I’m thinking this card will go to one of my crafty friends!

I hope you’re having a great start to your summer!  I’m still adjusting to having four kids home all day, every day!

Until next time!  Happy stamping!

{create it wednesday}… believe… inspire…

Hello PRS fans!!   Rosemary here today with another {Create it Wednesday} post sharing a project that I made using the new Blossom stamp set.   As many of you know right now the Summer Coffee Lover’s blog hop is going on and Precious Remembrance Shop is one of the sponsors… YAY!! So… when I saw Dyane’s super cute card (click here to see her card) for the hop I was inspired to create my version.

I started by stamping the coffee cup from Coffee Love twice using VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink.  I then covered both cups with one of the flowers from Blossom using bright summery colors.  The cups were then trimmed out.  Continuing with the bright color scheme I stamped the center portion of the cup on some bright yellow patterned paper, trimmed them out, attached them to the cups and then stamped them with sentiments “create”, “inspire”, “happiness” and “believe”.  The lids were also stamped, again, twice, trimmed out and attached to the cups with foam dimensionals.  A panel of bright orange polka dot patterned paper was attached to the card stock base and then I added the cups and the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by… if you haven’t taken part in the Summer Coffee Lover’s blog hop, there is still time to get out your stamps and play along.  You could even win your own “Coffee Love” stamp set!

Hey There… rosigrl
