Tuesday Ideas: A Holiday Thank You

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa here with my final post for Precious Remembrance Shop.  I am stepping down from the design team and continuing on in my creative journey.  I have truly enjoyed my time spent with Dyane and her amazingly talented team and will sincerely miss being a part of all the wonderful creativity here!

For my farewell post, I created a holiday themed thank you card.  At season’s end, we’ll all need a few of these!

2016-dec13

I used one of the pine images from the Oh Christmas set to decorate the fun coffee cup from the Coffee Love set.  I love the clean fonts of the sentiments in the Thanks stamp set and selectively inked one to label the cup.  The trio of stars are also from the Oh Christmas set and I stamped and then embellished them with a gold Wink of Stella brush marker to add a touch of festive sparkle.  The green chevron washi tape I found in my stash and used it to ground the coffee cup (please excuse the pun).  The cup is popped up with foam dots for dimension.  This design is a very simple one to create.  I love the sparkle of the stars (they remind me of Starbucks’ gold stars…)!

I hope you’re well on your way to finishing up your holiday cards.  Don’t forget to make a few thank you cards while you’re at it!

Wishing you all the best in the new year ahead!

Tuesday Ideas: School Themed Christmas

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with more inspiration for Tuesday Ideas!  This week, I’m sharing a school themed Christmas card which uses two stamp sets from the Precious Remembrance Shop store:  School Days and Oh Christmas.  This time of year, school children often take a little something to school for their teachers and this clean and simple card is just perfect for the occasion!

2016-dec6-space

I had so much fun making this card!  I found some fun, plaid washi tape recently and adhered it to the bottom of the card .  The “MERRY” and “Christmas” are both partial sentiments from the Oh Christmas set.  I inked up selective portions and stamped them.  I fussy cut the letters in “MERRY” and drew little red polka dots on them to add a little festive element.  I arranged them randomly to make them come alive and popped each one up with foam dots for dimension.  The school bus was stamped in black ink also and left uncolored to keep the overall design simple.  I can see this going to a bus driver!  They need a little of our gratitude too!

I hope you’re making progress in your holiday card making!  Isn’t it crazy just how quickly time goes by this time of year?  With clean and simple designs, you can get your cards made and in the mail on time!  I hope this inspires you somehow as you are putting things together this holiday season!

Until next time, happy stamping!

Tuesday Ideas: Holiday Simplicity

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with more clean and simple inspiration using the Oh Christmas stamp set!  For today, I created a very simple, one layer design.

2016-nov1

I stamped the sentiment first in black.  A trio of pine boughs was stamped on either side of the sentiment in green.  I added a touch of sparkle to the words using pearlescent watercolors.

Yet another design that is easily mass produced in time for the holidays!  How are your cards coming along?

Until next time, happy stamping!

{create it wednesday} More Merry Christmas…

Happy Wednesday Precious Remembrance Shop fans!!  Rosemary here with one last Christmas card using Sketchy Christmas.  I have had so much fun creating different cards using this fun set!!  This time I did manage to make a card that wasn’t the traditional Christmas colors of red and green, lol!!

For this card I used some papers from the BasicGrey Aspen Frost pad and created a snowy little scene.  The snowflake paper was die cut and then a off white cardstock panel was cut using the same rectangle die.  I then die cut that panel using some border dies to create my “snowy” hills.  I stamped the bottom hill with the sentiment and then layered them, popping up the bottom one for dimension.  The trees were stamped on the olive green paper using brown ink (which ended up looking olive!), trimmed out and adhered to the hills.  I added some Ice Stickles glitter glue to create a snowy look on the ground around a few of the trees as well as on the hills and then added the holographic snowflakes to the tops of each tree as a finishing touch.   I quite like how it turned out!!  I’m adding this to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge:  die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by today… wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

{create it wednesday} 3 trees…

Happy Wednesday PRS fans!!!  Rosemary here with another card using the Sketchy Christmas stamp set.  Did you pick up some yummy new PRS stamps this past weekend?   I hope you did!!  Dyane sure had some fantastic deals going on.  I have another Christmas card to share and I swore to myself that I wasn’t going to make another traditional red and green Christmas card, but guess what???  I did, lol!!   I recently purchased pads of Christmas paper from My Mind’s Eye and Pink Paislee.    Alot of papers in both pads are done in traditional reds and greens and since they were within close reach I just had to use them.

I die cut some woodgrain paper from the My Mind’s Eye Sleighbells 6×6 pad as my main panel and a piece of red patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Yuletide 6×6 pad as a mat.  The little trees were cut from the patterned that was found on the reverse side of the woodgrain piece and then adhered to the card.   I added the sentiment in red, a few red sequins and I was done.  Another easy to mass produce Christmas card.

Thanks for stopping by today…

{create it wednesday}… More Merry Christmas!

Happy Wednesday Precious Remembrance Shop fans!!  Rosemary here with another card to share using the Sketchy Christmas stamp set.  I am obviously in a traditional red and green Christmas card mood, lol!!  Some of that has to do with the fact that I’m trying to use what I find close by in my little crafty area and one of the things I found was a piece of polka dot patterned paper in an olive green color.    I grabbed a piece of red and white patterned paper, some inks in corresponding colors, some dies and I was ready to create.   The layout is based on the current Sweet Sunday Sketch so I will be posting my card there.

The sketch is pretty straight forward.   I layered up the patterned papers on my white cardstock card base and then after die cutting the white circle stamped the tree.  A little sequin snowflake was added to the top of the tree.   The sentiment strips were stamped in red ink, trimmed out and adhered to the tree.  A little bit of Diamond stickles was added to the base of the tree and dots added to the tree for a bit of sparkle.  Super simple and easy to reproduce in other color schemes.

Thanks for stopping by today…

Tuesday Ideas: A Last Minute Holiday Card

Anyone that still has holiday cards to make, please raise your hand!  Christmas is just over a week away and it’s crunch time on our craft tables.  If you figure in the time it takes for mail to reach its recipient, that figures out to be less than a week to finish up those cards and get them ready to go to the post office!

I’m here today to show you a really quick, clean and simple card idea that takes only minutes to make!

Using the Joy stamp set, I stamped the wreath image and the JOY sentiment side by side on a panel of white cardstock.  I dressed up the wreath with some simple red gemstones and added a touch of sparkle with a Wink of Stella brush marker.  The panel was then popped up, off center, using foam dots and I was done!  How’s that for a quick and easy, last minute holiday card?!

I hope you’re enjoying the holiday season!

Until next time, happy stamping!

Tuesday Ideas: Border Stamps

Hi everyone!  It’s Melissa back with another clean & simple idea using the newest stamp set, Joy!

Ever found yourself trying to find ways to make use of border stamps found in stamp sets?  I decided to try using them as the main attraction on a card!  I used three separate, but similar, border stamps to create this clean and simple design.  I stamped them parallel to each other on the main panel and then popped up the panel with foam dots.  Three gold star sequins were added for a little shine and interest.  How’s that for a simple holiday greeting?!

I hope you’re bravely facing the beginning of December!  It’s a bit hard to believe the new year will soon be here, isn’t it?  Enjoy the weeks ahead and remember to savor each day as 2014 comes to a close!

Until next time, happy crafting!

Tuesday Ideas: Creating a Simple Holiday Star

Hi everyone!  It’s Melissa here, back with another installment of Tuesday Ideas!

How many of you have ever looked at a stamp set and wished you could figure out ways to use it other than the obvious?  I had a light bulb moment recently with the new Joy clear set & wanted to share it with you today!  It occurred to me that I could single out a portion of the larger image in the set to create a unique and fun holiday card!

Who knew trees could be used to create a holiday star?!  I stamped and fussy cut five tree images and arranged them to create a star, popping them up for dimension.  I added gemstones to give it a little sparkle.  The sentiment is also a portion of the larger image in the stamp set, also cut out and popped up with foam dots.  Such a simple holiday card, but that’s a good thing with days seeming shorter and schedules feeling fuller!

I wonder if some of you have already figured out other unique ways to use this stamp set?!  I’d love to hear from you!

Until next time, keep taking these busy days one at a time!  The new year will be here before we know it!

Design It Monday {Love, Joy and Peace}

Hey!  It’s Laurie here with my first guest designer post.  I was thrilled when Dyane asked me to join Precious Remembrance for the month!  I have used their stamps before and I love them!  Today I am showcasing the adorable, Christmas Stamp Set.  The fonts and design elements are so much fun to work with and make for a fun CAS card…

I simply stamped the border images in red and green on the side of the card, adding the scalloped image in brown.

I stamped the sentiment in the same brown, onto a green hand cut banner.  I added in a wood button and twine to give it a more rustic feel.

One thing you can’t see in the picture, is the addition of sparkle gel pen on the green zig zags.  It looks so fun in real life!  🙂

So glad you could join me today!  Thanks for stopping in!
