Tuesday Ideas: Two Peas in a Pod

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with more Tuesday Ideas inspiration using the wonderful Sweet Pea stamp set!

I used a stitched circle die cut to frame a fussy cut pea pod and stamped the sentiment below it.  The pea pod was colored with Copic markers.  The two peas were stamped again, fussy cut & colored with Copics.  The two peas were layered on top of the pea pod with foam dots to add a little more dimension.  The little red heart was added in red ink.  I’m thinking this will be a great anniversary or engagement card!

Sequins, Sweet Pea Stamp Set, Thanks Stamp Set

{create it wednesday} – a twofer and a goodbye

Happy Wednesday Precious Remembrance Shop fans!!   Rosemary here on the blog today to share two cards that I made using the Sweet Pea stamp set.  Today is a bit of a sad day for me as this is my last post as a member of the Precious Remembrance Shop design team.   It was a hard decision to make as Dyane is one of the sweetest people you could ever find and it has been so much fun being a part of the team, but as the poet Geoffrey Chaucer wrote “all good things must come to an end”.   And so my time with Precious Remembrance Shop has come to an end.  But, you will still find me creating with my PRS stamps (which I LOVE) and like the rest of you I will be eagerly awaiting the next release!!  Now… on to my first card!

I decided to do some watercoloring and so I stamped one of the little pea pod images on some watercolor paper with VersaMark watermark ink, applied white embossing powder and heat set.  (I actually did that twice you will see the other one on the second card.)  I then taped my watercolor cardstock to a little wooden cutting board I have and did my watercoloring.  Taping the watercolor cardstock down helps to cut down on the warping that occurs when you watercolor.   After I had colored the pea pod I added a little wash of color using a lighter shade of green than the one used for the pea pod.  I die cut the image along with a tag from some patterned paper.  The sentiment was stamped and adhered all the layers to my card base.  Finished things off with a bow made from light green and light pink baker’s twine. sweet pea thanks

The second card uses the same layout the only difference is that I used a sentiment from the PRS set Thanks and created a little banner.  Because the patterned paper had a bolder look to it I used dark pink baker’s twine along with the light green to create my little bow.  I created the second card as a little ‘thank you’ to Dyane for seeking me out and asking me to join the PRS design team.  I will never forget that day and just how excited I was to be asked!  It has been a true honor being a part of this wonderful team!!   Oh… and one more thing!  Did you see the yummy new sequins Dyane has in the shop???  I will be picking up some to add to my growing sequin stash… I hope you do to!!!

Sweet Pea Stamp Set, Tuesday Ideas

Tuesday Ideas: A Sweet Pea Valentine

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with another round of Tuesday Ideas!  With Valentine’s Day coming up this weekend, I created a love themed card using the oh-so-sweet Sweet Pea stamp set!

I simply die cut a scalloped heart to create a little heart shaped card!  I stamped the beautiful sentiment in black, using it to draw the eye into the design.  The flower image and three mini hearts were stamped next.  I colored the sweet flower with Copic markers and then added a touch of glitter with a Wink of Stella brush marker.  The main white panel is popped up with foam dots for dimension.

I am just loving this sweet stamp set!  It’s perfect for those last minute valentines and for all kinds of love themed projects!

Create It Wednesday, Love Coupon Stamp Set, Sweet Pea Stamp Set

Happy Wednesday Precious Remembrance Shop fans!!  Rosemary here to share a little Valentine’s day treat bag that I made using the new Sweet Pea stamp set and the Love Coupon stamp set.

I started by making the little treat bag using a Sizzix treat bag die set.  Once that was finished I stamped the coupon image from Love Coupon on some patterned paper and trimmed it out.  One of the sweet pea images from Sweet Pea was stamped in the center using dark red ink.  A little sentiment from Love Coupon was stamped on additional patterned paper and trimmed it out.   The red glitter strip was created by die cut the piece with a die from the treat bag die set.  I adhered that to my little bag along with the coupon and then added the twine tied in a bow.  The little hearts that were die cut from the strip were randomly added to the bag as well.  I adhered the sentiment strip and then added the little arrow paper clip.   The little hearts in the corner were stamped in dark red ink using an image from Sweet Pea.  This little treat bag would be even easier to put together using a pre-made treat bag.

Tuesday Ideas: Sweet Pea Simplicity

Hello, everyone!  It’s Melissa back with more Tuesday Ideas inspiration!  Can you believe we’re already in the final week of January?

I’m adoring the new Sweet Pea set that Lisa designed!  This week, I created a card using one of the adorable little pea pods included in the set.

Keeping true to clean & simple style, I stamped the pea pod on the main panel & colored it with Copic markers.  I then stamped the sentiment and a trio of pink hearts, adding a touch of sparkle to the hearts with a Wink of Stella brush marker.  The entire layered panel is popped up with foam dots for dimension.

I can’t wait to use this set for Valentine’s Day cards!  With less than a month to go, I’d better get busy!

Create It Wednesday, Sweet Pea Stamp Set

Hello Precious Remembrance Shop fans!!! Rosemary here with my first post of the new year!!  Have you all be enjoying all the projects the design team has made with the newly released and super adorable Sweet Pea stamp set??  I know I have!!  Today I have a card to share using that very stamp set!   During this past Christmas I learned that my niece is going to have a baby!!  My sister (her mom) is over the moon to finally be a gramma!  When the new Sweet Pea stamp set arrived in my mailbox I immediately thought of my niece and created a card that would be perfect for a baby shower.  Now… I don’t know if my niece is having a boy or a girl yet, but changing up the color scheme would be super easy!

I started this card by picking out some patterned paper to use and chose some papers from a couple of different My Mind’s Eye paper pads and did a little bit of paper piecing using one of the sweet little pea pod images on a white cardstock rectangle.   The sentiment was added using the same green ink that the images were stamped in.  The mat for that panel was die cut from some pink patterned paper.  I die cut the lattice panel from white cardstock, attached it to a pink cardstock base and then adhered the image panel.   A sprinkling of the pale green sequins from the Pretty Pink Posh Sweet Pea sequin mix were added and I was done.
