Design It Monday { Gift Tags / Note Tags }

Hello friends! Our creativity continues this week, as we show you more projects using the brand new stamp set, Positive Thoughts.

Alright, I have a really fun project for you today. Yay! it’s picture loaded.^_^ I hope you’ll learn something from this simple tutorial.^_^

Let’s start with the materials:

  • Stash… stash… stash…. of papers. I know you have tons of those right? Because I do!{hee} Now is the perfect time to use it!
  • Different colors of Inkpads.
  • Cotton Twine.
  • And Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.
I used different tools too in making my tags, so keep scrolling and reading until the end.

Easy right? Now, that’s just one way on how you can make a simple tag.

But, if you’ll think outside the box and be creative? Your stash of paper will go a long way.

Isn’t it amazing how this stamp set can make your project complete?

You can use these tags as a gift tag. And you can always add a note at the back of it, feel free to add your journaling lines using the dash line border.

And how cute is that on a card? This one made me smile!^_^

I hope you enjoyed today’s project! ^_^

Have a beautiful day!

Saturday Creations {Pinterest Inspiration}

Hi friends!

Elena here, back with another Saturday Creations post.

Do you all pinterest?  (it’s not just a website now, it’s a verb… or it should be, with all the time I spend there!)  Sometimes, all I need to get the inspiration flowing is a beautiful print that I can translate into a card.

From this print, I created the layout of my card, and found the orange/blue color scheme.  I also love how the orange panel contained a large sentiment, while a smaller one was printed onto the blue flag beneath.  I thought it would be fun to take two different sentiments from the positive thoughts set and re-create that look:

I used a cream-colored cardstock for my base and my flowers, embossed my larger sentiment onto the orange strip, and the smaller sentiment onto the blue flag.  This would be the perfect card to give someone who was going through a hard time.

 Hope you like it!

Project Thursday {hello}

Hi there! I’m so happy you’ve joined me again for Project Thursday!

Today I have small, sweet card to share…

Punched the corners with mini hole punch slightly so that the floss could stay in place easily.

Used the adorable hello stamp from Positive Thoughts (is this anyone else’s fave sentiment of the set?) and the faux stitching image – this is so perfect when you’re worried about the sewing machine sewing right (if you have one), or just because it’s so darn easy to use!

Thanks so much for stopping in with me today, and I hope to see you same time next week! 🙂

Create It Wednesday {Cherished}

Welcome to Create It Wednesday’s with me, Andrea!  A day to share ideas, techniques and lots of color using Precious Remembrance stamps and goodies.  As we continue celebrating the release of the new Positive Thoughts Stamp Set this month, here to share with you two projects today using similar technique and color to show off this amazing set.

Last year I picked up a few frames from a second hand store that could be painted, disassembled and ready to display a few of my favorite things.  Here I used die cut squares of scrap pieces of paper, stitching and different shades of cardstock to create an inspiring wall hang.  Used the border stamps and sentiment stamps to frame the main sentiment in the center of the picture and to add detail to a couple of the die cut squares.  Before you adhere everything, simply lay them out and cut the length to your liking.  I then used a linen/kraft ink to repeat the center sentiment and one in black.  Love the single heart in bright pink to stand out.

I then created a set of tags that are similar in design and color.

The paint splatter creates the background for these tags in a soft pink.  Adds detail without over powering the design.  Have a wonderful day!

This stamp set is full of possibilities, so I thought I’ll create something outside the box. Surprisingly, I like the way this card turned out. The splatters gives so much artsy drama.{heehee} Love it!

I included a video tutorial for you to enjoy {keep scrolling down},  I hope you like it!^_^

Join us again this week as we show you more projects using the new release!

Saturday Creations {Graduation Gift Card}

Hi friends!

It’s my first Saturday Creations post – and I’m so excited to be here!  We’re all enjoying (hopefully a relaxing and sunny) start to summer.  With all the recent graduations, I thought the sentiment “follow your heart” from our Positive Thoughts set would pair up nicely with a nice gift-card…. what a perfect send-off for your college-bound grad!

I created a little shooting star, by stamping the paint splatter repeatedly.  To make sure that I stamped it just the way I wanted it, I pencil-drew-in the “trajectory” I wanted the paint splatter to take – wider at the bottom left, and coming to a point where the bottom of the heart would rest.  Once I stamped the splatter trail, I simply erased my pencil lines.

I stamped a few hearts at the top: my main heart was stamped, cut out and glittered.  (I used a 2-way glue pen and added a diamond glitter overtop.)  But I also stamped (without re-inking) a few other hearts around the main one (it may be hard to pick them out from the pictures… but they’re there!)  I love the variation and depth you can get by re-stamping without re-inking!

Inside the trifold card, I used a scallop border die to hold my gift card into place.  I thought it was a soft and pretty touch 🙂

I hope you enjoyed the first of my Saturday Creations with Precious Remembrance!

Inspire Me Friday {Smile}

For today’s Inspire Me Friday post, I created a card by mixing patterned paper and layering die-cut shapes. The result is a perfect, all-occasion greeting card for the summertime! I used the Precious Remembrance Positive Thoughts stamp set for the sentiment as well as for the splatter design in the corner.
I started off with a bright orange panel of paper which I had in my scrap paper pile and chose my paper from the My Mind’s Eye Everyday Flair 6 x 6 inch paper pad. I love these little paper pads because the patterns they include coordinate together so beautifully. When mixing patterns, it can be easy to go overboard with bold prints, so I like to balance prints with “neutrals.” In this case, I chose the striped paper which contains the same colors as the floral paper that is along the  bottom of the card.
I felt like the striped paper seemed a little bare, so I stamped along the top edge with the awesome splatter paint stamp from the Precious Remembrance Positive Thoughts stamp set. I love the effect and just a little went a long way!
For the sentiment panel, I chose the Smile stamp from Positive Thoughts and stamped it onto a Papertrey Ink’s Framed Out #3 die-cut. I added a couple of eyelets in a rosy pink.
For the layered flower die-cuts, I used Papertrey Ink’s Rosie Posie stamps and dies. To prop up the flowers, I used foam adhesive, which is one of my favorite scrapping tools. Foam tape or foam dots are an excellent way to add dimension to any project. I stamped the flowers using the same colors from the floral patterned paper and I love how the die-cuts look like they’re a three-dimensional extension of the paper itself!
I accented the card with some rik-rak I had and some machine stitching. I adhered the panel onto an A2 white cardstock base.

Project Thursday {Cherish}

Hi there! Clare here today with my first post for Precious Remembrance! I’m so excited to join you today with my first Project Thursday post!

For today’s card, I chose to use the ‘cherish every moment’ stamp from this months new release ‘Positive Thoughts‘. I don’t know about you, but I need a lot of graduation cards this time of year, and I thought this sentiment would be perfect for the grad!

My favorite images from the new stamp set are all the little hearts! So cute and whimsical! I stamped the heart from the sentiment ‘hi’ various times in orange and pink on this fabric tag.

If you’re wondering how I stamped that wee heart so many times without stamping the other part of the image (the ‘hi’), I’ll tell you – I cut my stamp up! (horror music playing)

Actually, this is no biggie with quality stamps like Precious Remembrance – the stamp sticks itself back together really well! In case it’s having some problems getting back together (usually due using a particular part of the stamp a lot and not cleaning it between uses – don’t ask me how I know), you can just clean it up with some soap and water!

Well, that’s it for today – I hoped you enjoyed my first Project Thursday – I had a blast being here with you today, and hope you stop in again this time next week! 🙂
