Design It Monday ~ {For You Dad}

Hello and a happy Monday to all! Are you enjoying the design team projects featuring the latest release {Coffee Love}? This set holds so many possibilities. The girls on the team, myself included,  all seam to love the “just a little something for you” sentiment. I have yet to use it and knew it would be the focus of my final project highlighting the new set. I die cut a Spellbinders label, stamped the image, then looked at it for a bit deciding who that “something” would be for. Just who was the lover of coffee in my life…my dad that’s who!!

To create my card base I scored my cardstock into a book style card. Next I added a strip of pinstripe paper as the binder of the book then stamped the double stitch lines from the Positive Thoughts set using Versa Mark ink. These were embossed with a pearl powder. I die cut a larger Spellbinders Label 10 from this fun argyle paper. The sentiment label I had stamped earlier looked a bit bare, so I anchored it with a Border Tape #1 stamp. Much better! To personalize the card I added DAD from the Mom & Dad set then punched it out.

Finally the cute little coffee cup was stamped, colored and punched. It’s added to the card with a pop dot. I love the way this turned out and you know what? My dad’s Father’s Day card is complete!! I’ll fix up a fun coffee themed gift for him and I am good to go. Whoohoo, I’m ahead of the game!
