{create it wednesday} thanks…

Hey PRS fans!!!  Happy Wednesday to you!!  Rosemary here with a fall thank you card that I made using School Days (just released!) and the lovely PRS set Fall Colors.   I just love the sketchy leaves and the sentiments in that set.  For my card I used the large “thanks” from School Days and the three leaves from Fall Colors.

I started by watercoloring three fall colors (red, yellow and light brown) on a piece of watercolor paper using my Kuretaki Gansai Tambi watercolors.   After the piece was dry I stamped the leaves using a kraft colored ink and the “thanks” using a dark brown ink.   I then die cut the piece using a rectangle die that leaves a nice pierced edge around your piece.   A second larger rectangle was also die cut and some dark brown hemp twine was wrapped around that panel.  I adhered the “thanks” panel on top and then adhered the whole thing to a card base.  Some additional dark brown twine was tied around the wrapped string and the ends adhered to the card for a little finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by today….

  1. Rosemary, what a beautiful fall thank you card! I love the watercolors and the deep brown ink and twine, so rich and perfect for fall. Love the stitched edges of the layers, too!
