Create It Wednesday ~ {You’re Appreciated.}

Happy hump day! Deidre here and I’m bringing today’s creation to you from the sunny beaches of Cancun 🙂

It’s my last day in this stunning area of Mexico, and I wanted to leave a little something special for the staff that has helped make my birthday wonderful. The newly released {Totally} stamp set was perfect for just that!

I started by scribbling some Zig Clean Color Brush pens on my watercolor paper, then I used a wet brush to move the color around. I stamped my sentiments and used the brushstrokes and stars in the stamp set to create a frame. A trick you can use to keep the thick stroke closest to your sentiment is to flip the brushstroke upside down before stamping above your sentiment. It really gives your border some symmetry.

I made a banner and used the same watercolor method to highlight “really.”  Have I mentioned that I love (like totally love) that I can use my own handwriting with this stamp set?? I wrote “appreciated” as a way to say thank you to the staff.
