Good morning. Nicole here with a layout I created using the Coffee Love Stamp Set. I decided to do something different… I bought this little album months ago. It’s been sitting in my craft bin. I don’t know about you, but I find it hard to scrap in this size. It took me 25 minutes to create this tiny page. LOL…But I like it. 🙂
I messed up the first time I stamped the “just a little” onto the journaling card. I wasn’t sure how I was going to still be able to use the card, but then I decided to stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock and then cut the sentiment out and cover up the mistake. It worked, but it’s not perfect. I really like the sentiments in this stamp set. As you can see, I used quite a few on this spread.
The Let’s talk about happy things stamp is perfect for this spread because that is exactly what these kiddos do when they are together… they like to talk a lot and play together.
Here’s a video of how this layout came together…mistakes and all. 🙂
Thanks so much for visiting today!
September is flying by at lightening speed! That means Halloween is right around the corner. You still have time to pick up your Beware Stamp Set in plenty of time to get inky. There’s no time like the present, it’s on sale! Here’s a little inspiration for you using that very set.
Using the colors in the patterned paper as my jumping off point, I stamped three of the circle images. They’re punched out and two were added to the card with foam tape. Those yellow eyes on the PP make this just spooky enough!
There are oodles of fun images in this set with endless possibilities!
Our end of summer sales runs through September 30th.
My Paper Tales
Good morning stampers! Nicole here with another layout I created using the School Days Stamp Set. My son has been asking to ride the yellow bus for years. He wants to ride the bus so badly, but I’m just not ready… I prefer to drop him off. Some might think I’m crazy…why not take advantage of our bus system, but I know what went happened on the bus as a kid… kids picking on the little kids… I’d much rather avoid that if possible. I promised him that he could ride the bus when he starts 5th grade. I will need to let him ride the bus so he is prepared for when he starts middle school! That’s a scary thought. Until then, I’ll continue taking him to school and picking him up.
Since the main them was the yellow bus for this layout, I decided to stamp the entire background using the yellow bus stamp. LOVE this stamp. It’s totally cute. I splashed some acrylic paint on the stamped images just to mess it up a little.
I stamped the ABC, 123 image onto white cardstock, Then I colored the images in using markers and cut it out using scissors. I hand-wrote the “Back to School” in the middle of the pencil using a black pen.
I added a few embellishments here and there to make this layout fun and playful.
Thank you for visiting today! I hope you’re having a great week so far.
Don’t miss our summer stamp sale! It’s time to grab your favorite set and start getting inky!:)
Offer starts Sept.12-30,2019. Happy Stamping!
I’m not quite ready to go full out autumn yet, but those days are fast approaching us. The bright beautiful September skies and cooling temperatures did give me a little nudge though. Here’s a not too spooky Halloween card for you in case you need one too!
I pulled out my picket fence die again to give my smiling Jack-o-lantern (Beware stamp set) a resting place. He’s fussy cut to remove the outer sketchy lines. The fence also provided a perfect spot for the sentiment (Beware stamp set). While there are several layers on this card, the lines are clean keeping it from being too busy.
This was quick and easy to create.
Why not give it a try. The Beware stamp set is on sale!
My Paper Tales
Good morning! In Maryland, the kids went back to school today. My little man is in 4th grade; hard to believe! I’m hoping he gets a male teacher this year. Mix it up a bit… we shall see. Today, I’m sharing a fun, mixed media layout using the School Days Stamp Set! At first, I wasn’t sure how I was going to use this adorable stamp set and honestly, I do not have many good photos of my son on his first day of school because he never cooperates with me… I decided to look through my sister Katie’s pictures and then I came across a picture of Katie with her good friend Maddie and I thought it was perfect! The photo totally brought a smile to my face… two smart, beautiful girls who are best friends. They are still very close 8-9 years later.
To begin, I splashed some Sky Blue spray ink all over white cardstock. Then I stamped the “I heart school” sentiment down the middle of the page.
I stamped the school bus, eraser and A+ sentiment in black ink and then used markers to color them in. Then I used scissors to cut the image from the cardstock to use as die cuts on the layout. I tucked the black and white bits and pieces below the photo to add a little more black and white to really make the bright colors pop!
I added a few puffy stickers at the top to help fill in the white space.
Thank you so much for visiting today! Do you have little ones starting back to school today? This stamp set is perfect for scrapbooking their school memories! It doesn’t need to be their first day of school. Get creative…pull out their school pictures from last year and scrapbook them!
