Design It Monday ~ {Thankful}

Hi there! Lisa here today with a fun thank you project to share. I’ve created a tag, decorated a bag and made a little swag to tuck inside of it!

Project_20180726_0013 copy

Isn’t this feather paper fun!  I die cut a tag from it then stamped the smaller coordinating tag using the Fall Colors stamp set. I thought one of the leaves resembled a feather! I’ve also used the grid image, speckles and a portion of a sentiment. The tag is topped with a pair of punched leaves, a tiny bow and one of my favorite Seaside Buttons.

I kept things simple for the Plain White /Flat Paper Bag since the tag had a lot of pattern happening. A single die cut border was all it needed. The cute green and white patterned paper is the reverse side of the feather paper!

And that fun little some somethings tucked inside is a Post-It Note holder! The flap was stamped with a thanks sentiment from the Thanks set. To jazz it up a bit, I stamped and fussy cut two leaves from the Fall Colors set then added some speckles. The heart  is from the Thanks stamp set too. And then of course I added another of those sweet Seaside Buttons!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this bit of whimsy I’ve created. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Project Thursday ~ Mixed Media Artist Trading Cards

Hello everyone one… Helen is here. It’s Project Thursday time… And today’s project is a set of mixed media Artis Trading Cards that I created using stamp set, bits and pieces, paper snippets, buttons, and VersaFine Clair Ink Pads from Precious Remembrance Shop.

On these artist trading cards, I used the Little Thing Stamp Set and the Coffee Love Stamp Set.

I stamped the triangles from the Little Things Stamp Set on tissue paper using VersaFine Clair Nocturne (Black) Ink Pad. This is a pigment ink, so it will take time to dry. I set it aside to dry while I was working on the cards.

I used watercolor paper 140 lbs for the artist trading cards. To create the background, I use the ink smooshing technique with VersaFine Clair ink pads and Staz-On All-Purpose Stamp Cleaner Spray. Since these ink pads are oil-based inks, water won’t work with them. But the stamp cleaner works like magic!

The Ink Pads I used on these card backgrounds are:

First, I dab a little bit of the ink on a craft mat, then I spray it with the Staz-On All-Purpose Stamp Cleaner Spray. I smooshed the watercolor paper in the ink. I did one color a the time and then dried them with craft heater tool.

I added thin layer of my homemade texture paste using palette knife on each card. This way give some texture on them and muted the colors a little bit.

After the texture paste dried, I added the pieces of stamped tissue papers on them using gel medium.

Once these cards dried, I added each of them on purple cardstock mat, green cardstock mat, and orange cardstock mat. After that I hand-stitched couple of the edges with white embroidery thread. And I added them again the last 3.5″ x 2.5″ card mats with strong adhesive glue. Lots of layers… I know!!!

Next step, I stamped the cup from Coffee Love Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair – ParadiseVersaFine Clair – Green Oasis, and VersaFine Clair – Summertime. I fussy each of the cup with micro-tip scissors.

On this first artist trading card, I added the blue cup. I added the XOXO word from Bits & Pieces : Love Coupon. I secured it on the cup with mini stapler. I added the cup on the card with strong adhesive glue. I added the sentiment from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black) on a white cardstock, trimmed it into paper strip, and doodled the framed around it with Faber-Castel PITT Artist Pen. I embellished this card with some of the Sweet Lavender Buttons.

On the second and third artist trading cards, I did the same steps that I used to create the first card above.

I also used one of the sentiments from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black) and one of the card from the Paper Snippets : TODAY. I embellished it with some of the Baby Blue Buttons.

And on this third artist trading card, I used one of the cute little cassettes from Bits & Pieces : Daily Thoughts to embellish the cup and the sentiment is from Little Things Stamp Set that I stamped using VersaFine Clair – Nocturne (black). I trimmed the sentiment paper and added on the cassette with adhesive glue. I embellished it with some of the Light Mint Buttons.

For finishing touch, I added some of white gesso on the edges of all the artist trading cards with my finger for extra distress look on them.

Thank you so much for stopping by today… Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday Ideas {You make me Happy!}

Hello, friends! It’s Kelly here today sharing this festive, vintage inspired design using some fabulous stamps and accessories from the shop! With the holiday coming up, I thought it would be fun to create something patriotic!

I created this design by using the Little Things stamp set paired with the versatile This Moment stamp set. I just love how the bullet point images are perfect to create little flags! I also couldn’t resist adding one of the sentiment strips from the Paper Snippets: Happiness. I love the extra color and detail it added to my design.

To begin, I stamped the polka dot border image from Little Things onto a piece of Kraft cardstock. I used my MISTI so that I could get a nicely saturated image. Once that was done, I did some zig zag machine stitching along the edge. It really adds dimension and detail, even to a stamped image rather than a piece of paper.

I cut and scored the paper medallions and secured them with hot glue. I just love the muted colors in the paper that give the project that vintage feel! I also stamped the “remember this” and “good times” pieces using the This Moment stamp set. I sandwiched a mini white doilie between the kraft piece and the Aqua card base for some extra vintage charm. A few buttons attached here and there finish off this design! I hope you all have a fun and safe holiday and hopefully I’ve given you some festive inspiration!

Tuesday Ideas {Too cute!}

Hi friends! It’s Kelly here today sharing a bright and colorful card just fitting for the beginning of summer! This card was so easy to put together and perfect for mass producing!

My MISTI was a lifesaver for this design and is the reason why this would be so easy to mass produce! To begin, I placed the polka dot image from the newly released Little Things into the MISTI and  lined it up straight. My starting point was the green polka dot image and I built the card around that first image. Once that first green image was in place, I got to work adding in each of the other images.

I also used the ever-adorable Thanks stamp set which was the perfect companion for today’s rainbow design. The “thank you for:” image is stamped in black and cut with a paper trimmer. I raised it onto the front of the card using foam squares. I also added a few Nuvo drops into the “check boxes” in rainbow order as well. The finishing touch is a few buttons added with glue dots. I also used my color spritzing tool and added some black specks! This card was so fun to make and will be a perfect design to mass produce after my birthday to say thanks!

Design It Monday ~ {You Got This}

Hi PRS friends, Lisa here today with a new installment of Design It Monday! My card features the newly releases Little Things stamp set along with a trio of Hand Dyed Seaside Buttons.

Project_20180520_0001 copy

I picked a snippet of patterned paper from my stash that had a fun grid pattern on the reverse side. That grid was the perfect spot for a couple of fun sentiments. I also used a snippet of ivory paper to stamp the polka dot border before die cutting it. The border complimented the dots in the patterned paper quite nicely! Everything was added to a doily embossed panel, then an aqua panel and finally to the card base. Those buttons and some coordinating twine served as my accents.

Thanks for visiting with us today. Stay tuned for more inspiration from the team over the next few weeks using the Little Things set! Have a delightful day!

Project Thursday ~ Coffee Hugs Shaker Card

Hello everyone… Helen is here. It is time for another Project Thursday 🙂 Today I have a coffee shaker card to share with you that I created using the Sketchy Alphabet Stamp Set and Coffee Love Stamp Set, Rose Quarts Buttons, and Sweetheart Sequins Mixed.

I create the shaker window by cutting 2 sizes of squares dies out of white cardstock and white fun foam for the backing. I added the plastic acetate on the square window with double-sided tape, and then I added the fun foam on it. After that I added some more double-sided tape on the fun foam.

I added some of the Sweetheart Sequins Mixed on the card, gathered them in the middle, and then I added the shaker window on the card.

I stamped the border from Coffee Love Stamp Set with Memento London Fog Dew Drop around the card. And I stamped the sentiment – HUGS under the shaker window using the Sketchy Alphabet Stamp Set with the same ink pad.

For the cup, I stamped the cup on a patterned paper and then stamped again on white cardstock using Nocture VersaFine Clair Ink Pad. I fussy cut the cup with scissors, and I cut out the cup sleeve and lid from the image that I stamped on the white cardstock. I added the sleeve and lid on the cup. And then I stamped the hearts using Pink Charming VersaFine Clair. After that, I added some shadow on the sleeve and lid using Spun Sugar Distress Crayon and watercolor brush. I added the cup on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue.

I finished the card by adding 3 of the Sweetheart Sequins Mixed with the dries-clear adhesive glue.

I hope you all enjoy this card today. Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Inspire Me Friday – {for you}

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  I’m here today with one final project using the fun Sketchy Alphabet stamp set.  For my project today I decided to create a gift bag using one of the white bags available in the Precious Remembrance Shop store.

for you bag 4

My little bag is pretty simple.  I started by creating a rosette from some patterned paper from My Mind’s Eye.  I used a small circle on the back to stabilize the rosette and then adhered the rosette to a pink doily that you can also find in the Precious Remembrance Shop store.   Using a neutral piece of paper from the same pad I stamped the words ‘for’ and ‘you’ in pink and then die cut it with a circle die.   The circle was adhered to the rosette and then I added a little bow twine with some paper twine.    To complete the bag I added a strip of coordinating patterned paper to the bag and a pink button (rose quartz from the Precious Remembrance Shop store) to the center of the twine.     I hope you will give this super fun and easy project a try using your Precious Remembrance Shop stamps!  Don’t forget… if you place a qualifying order of $30 or more you will automatically receive 10 stamp storage pouches!

Hope you have a wonderful day… thanks for stopping by!

Design It Monday ~ {Always}

Hey there PRS friends! Lisa back today with a final card featuring the Sketchy Alphabet stamp set. This one is pretty simple with a powerful sentiment.

Project_20180421_0003 copy

The popular Positive Thoughts stamp set provided the perfect lead in sentiment to my Sketchy Alphabet word. After stamping it on a kraft gingham panel, I randomly added the circles and splatters (Positive Thoughts). This was added to a marshmallow card base followed with the small strip of floral paper. My kraft panel with the word ‘ALWAYS’ stamped out was die cut then added to the card. The stamped stitched border from Positive Thoughts grounded my design without being too heavy. If you love a soft aqua embellishment as much as I do, you need to head over to the shop for some of the Hand Dyed Seaside Buttons ~ SWOON!!

This sentiment echos something I often tell our son. I’m here for you, no matter what, no matter where, no matter when ~ ALWAYS. Have a blessed day and thanks for visiting with us.

Tuesday Ideas {Celebrate…it’s your day!}

Hello friends, it’s Kelly here to share a fun birthday card I’ve been working on using the Oh So Fun stamp set as well as the ever-useful Sketchy Alphabet! I love how playful and fun they look on today’s card! I stamped the letters onto some pattern paper and then added some Crystal Glaze to give them the look of epoxy stickers you can buy. That is why I love stamps so much, because you can make as many as you want and you never run out! You always have the letter you need!

The jar image is stamped onto both the pink paper and then again onto the alphabet/number pattern paper and then fussy cut. I added it on top of the pink panel using foam squares. I combined a few of the included sentiments onto a coordinating strip of pattern paper. I added some Rose Quartz buttons on either side for some added detail.

I added another one of the included sentiments at the top of the card base as well as the cute little banner/triangle images. I did some straight machine stitching at the top as well using gray thread. I love how bright and cheery this birthday card came out! Thanks for stopping by today!

Create It Wednesday~Gift For You

So glad you’ve joined me for another Create It Wednesday post.  There are lots of gift giving occasions coming up including Mother’s Day & graduation.  But it’s also fun to surprise someone with a little something unexpected.  I’ve dressed up a Plain White Flat Paper Bag from the PRS Store.  PRS DT April 1 (1)To begin, I created a tag using the partial die cutting technique with a circle die to fit a Mini White Doilie.  After attaching the doily, I stamped the rest of my tag with the splatters from the Positive Thoughts stamp set using a light green marker.  A scrap of light green cardstock was die cut with a Pretty Pink Posh border die to cover where I cut the doily in half.  Yellow and green Hand Dyed Buttons were easily added with liquid glue.  These beautiful buttons are available in several colors in the PRS Store.  I stamped the letters I needed from the Sketchy Alphabet stamp set in black ink on the green cardstock and punched them out with a little circle punch.  The letters were colored with the green marker and then covered with glitter glue for a fun sparkle. PRS DT April 1 Close Up I had enough of the cardstock left to cut 3 thin strips for the bottom of the tag.  Yellow and white twine was tied in a bow & attached with liquid glue to finish it off.  Before adhering the tag, I stamped a few solid and open hearts from the Love Coupon and the Happy Art stamp sets in yellow ink.  Hope I’ve given you some inspiration for your next packaging project.  Have a great day!
