Project Thursday ~ Choose Joy Today

PreciousRemembrance-ChooseJoyToday-HelenGullett

Hello Precious Remembrance friends… Helen is here today with a fun simple way of creating mixed media card with stamping, embossing, acrylic paint and white gesso. First, I crated the background by adding lightly some blue, violet, and yellow acrylic paint on a white cardstock. Using baby wipes, I  soften the colors. After that, I stamped the grid texture image from Fall Colors Stamp Set with Ranger Black Archival Ink Pad. I added lightly some White Gesso with my finger randomly on the paper. And then, I trimmed it bit smaller that the violet card base and added it on the card with adhesive glue.

I stamped the flowers from Blossom Stamp Set on vellum paper with Versamark Ink Pad, and added some white glitter embossing powder on it, and heat set them with craft heater. I fussy cut them using micro-tip scissors.

For the sentiments, I stamped the words using Sketchy Alphabets Stamp Set on a white cardstock with Gypsy CTMH Dye Ink Pad and trimmed them into word strips.

I arranged the flowers on the card and glued them with dries-clear adhesive glue. I added the word strips on the card with 3D foam tape, and then I added the some of the Sweet Lavender Buttons on the card with adhesive glue.

I hope you all enjoy this post today and find inspirations from around you to create today. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Project Thursday ~ Fun Projects With Bits and Pieces, Stamp Set, Buttons and Mini Doilies

Hello Precious Remembrance Fans… It is Thursday and time for Project Thursday. Today I have 2 projects to share with you that I created using the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces, Happy Art Stamp Set, Antique Gray Buttons, and Mini Doilies.

PRS-DailyThoughts-BitsAndPieces-MixedMediaTag01-HelenGullett

My first project is a mixed media tag. I started with creating the tag background. I used watercolor 140 lbs paper for the tag because I like it thickness and sturdiness, especially with I works with mediums and water. I added Distress Oxide Inks on my craft mat – one color at a time – then I sprayed with water and dip my tag. I dried the color each time I added color to build up the layers of colors.

After all colors dried, I added some water splatters on it and dabbed it off with paper towel. Then I added thin layer of white gesso around the edge using my finger. I dried it with craft heater and then I stamped the triangles and hearts from the Happy Art Stamp Set with Black Archival Ink Pad. I dried the ink again with craft heater.

Next, I added some gel medium to cover the tag with foam brush, added one of the Mini White Mini Doilies on top of it and then added some gel medium again all over it. This will glue and seal the doily on the tag. Then I added some more white gesso randomly on the tag.

Once the gesso is dry, I added one of the big cassette from the Daily Thoughts Bits & Pieces Set with dries-clear adhesive glue. Next, I added the word strips and stars on the tag with dries-clear adhesive glue and I added some mini staplers on them for extra accent.

I added the buttons strip on the tag with 3D foam tape for extra dimension. And I embellished the tag with more star and buttons. That finished the tag 🙂

And for my second project it is a Thinking of You card. The front card is a clean-and-simple design. I stamped the scribble and splatter images from Happy Art Stamp Set in the middle of the white card. Then I added the Thinking of You piece on it with 3D foam tape and added the stars with dries-clear adhesive.

And for the inside, I created this pop-up using this tutorial. For the back of the cassette, I trimmed a white cardstock that the same size with the cassette. I used one of the Mini Yellow Doilies.

I hope you all enjoy today’s projects post. Thank you for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

Project Thursday ~ Thinking Of You Card Set

PRS-ProjectThursday-Mar8-HelenGullett

Hello everyone… Helen is here today. I have a set of Thinking of You cards to share with you that I created with two stamp sets and buttons. When I make a set of cards or mass-produce, I like to go with clean-and-simple style 🙂

PRS-ProjectThursday-Mar8-HelenGullett-001

First step I created the watercolored backgrounds. I scribble some of the Aquamarine Spectrum Aqua marker on a piece acetate and sprayed with some water. Then I used that acetate to stamp directly on the front of the white cards. I did it couple time to create the layers and dried it every time I added layer of color.

Next step is creating the flowers. I stamped the petals and stalks from Blossom Stamp Set on patterned papers with Versafine Onyx Black. Then I fussy cut each of them with micro-tip scissors. I added the flowers on the cards with dries-clear adhesive glue.

After all the flowers added on the cards, I stamped the sentiment from Daily Thoughts Stamp Set with the same ink pad using Mini MISTI. And then I embellished cards with some Simply Butter Buttons. And the cards are done… here are the close up of the cards:

I love having any type of cards ready in my card box whenever I need them. What type of cards do you like to have them ready in your stash whenever you need it? I hope you all can enjoy this post and inspired to create today.

Thank you so much for stopping today! Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday Ideas {Thinking of You}

Hello friends! I am thrilled to be back with my second installment of Tuesday Ideas! I have a quick card to share with you. I chose to use black and white with just a pop of color! I’m completely in LOVE with this jar from the Oh So Fun stamp set! They are so versatile for so many occasions! I chose to stamp the smaller jar using black  StazOn ink onto a piece of acetate and filled my jar with Simply ButterSoft Pink, and Light Mint buttons. I love how they look behind the acetate. I used a zig zag stitch on my sewing machine to adhere the acetate onto the card. I also stamped a few of the triangle images onto the side of the card from the Oh So Fun set as well. The Daily Thoughts set paired up so nicely for this design! I love all of the small sentiments as well as the larger ones! I added a strip of pattern paper at the bottom to bring it another pop of color.  I hope I have given you a few ideas of different ways to use your stamps paired with acetate!

Fun Gift Tags!

Hi stampers! Hooray it’s Friday! Do you feel the same way?lol I hope you’re having an amazing day so far.:) I have another project to share with you today.

It all started from these mason jars. I stamped and cut out a bunch of these so long ago, this is from our Oh So Fun stamp set which I love!:) It’s about time to use it, and match it with our Blossom stamp set. I stamped all 3 flowers from that set on different patterned papers, cut them out and just layer them together. Oh how I love the layered look! What do you guys think?:)

I added our exclusive hand dyed buttons ( simply butter , soft pink , antique gray ) at the center of each flowers. Stamped my sentiments as well, which is also from the Blossom stamp set.

If I receive a gift and these tags were on it, I would definitely keep it and re-use it on my other projects!:) What about you? How will you use it?

I hope you enjoyed today’s project!:)

Stay tune! There’s more coming! Yay!:)

Hi stampers! I’m so excited to share our new button colors! yay! It’s been awhile since we released our first 4 colors. So it’s about time to add new ones!

As you may know, these colored buttons are exclusively hand dyed for Precious Remembrance Shop.

Each piece has it’s own shade, simply unique! The size of these are the same 11mm, great size for your projects, it’s not that thick as well, so if you’re planning to use it on your cards, it’s mail friendly.

Sweet Lavender

This color is so pretty! It would be fun to add it on a centerpiece of  your handmade flower / paper flower. Great detail for accessories.

Soft Gray

A versatile color. Perfect gray that won’t overpower any other details of your projects.

Simply White

(This color is not hand dyed.)

You can’t go wrong with white. Elegant and lovely.

Antique Gray

The most unique color out there, I believe.  It has a gray undertone with a hint of blue/green into it.  It is a one of a kind color. It’s more pretty if you’ll see it in real.

Hi stampers! I hope you had an awesome weekend with your family and friends.♥ It’s great to be back sharing more projects again!:) Look what I made! I found this adorable paper that will totally remind you of our Border Tape #1 stamp set. Sweet!♥

I just can’t get over with the cuteness of this paper, I thought by adding more of that similar pattern onto my card will make it more fun {or shall we say…inspired by the patterned paper.lol}! I went ahead and grab my border tape stamp set, I did 2nd generation stamping to have that soft look of the borders. Using different colors of inks and layering will give more texture to the stamped image.
